In another thread @xda I read that sometimes booting recovery did not work when the phone is connected to usb. download the recovery file again, erase cache, flash recovery, erase cache, disconnect from usb und try - good luck!
Go into Settings then power. Uncheck Fastboot. May help you.
Definitely uncheck Fast Boot, and try flashing TWRP if it still doesn't boot, to check if you can get any working recovery.
As far as I know TWRP is still not working on HTC One. And the fast boot option in Settings is not related to android fastboot. The fast boot option there is hibernate mode of HTC One which is not really related to android fastboot .

I know the difference in adb fastboot and power/fastboot.
I recommended disabling it as I had the same issue. I couldn't get into clockwork until I turned the power fastboot off.

Im currently running CWM 6.0.3.1 But how can I flash the one your suggesting above me? I can not get my phone to go into Fastboot or Bootloader. When I hold Volume Down or Up and power when restarting it does nothing and simply boots to regular phone. The only way Im able to get into recovery mode is selecting it from restart option in ROM.

"CWM 6.0.3.1" that's the problem, touchscreen was updated in 6.0.3.2 and above I believe.
Well the volume down should work, so first check the following:
1- Settings -> Power -> Fast boot is disabled
2- Settings -> developer options -> USB debugging is enabled
then while in the ROM, connect to PC and type:
adb reboot bootloader <- this will get you to FASTBOOT USB
then:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
enter RECOVERY, and touchscreen should be working again
Hit the thanks button if I've helped and let me know if you need more info

Well first off thanks alot for your time in responding!!
Well when I first rooted the phone last night I had gone into CWM and I wiped cahe delvik cache and factory reset , wiped storage and then like an idiot I realized oooooo I have no usb storage to load the Rom onto. So I tried to sideload the rom from the sideload option in CWM. THe Rom install started but because I had no touch screen use (and the Rom was using that easy installer pack so many Sense roms have, that allow you to pick on screen option before the Rom actually installs) I couldnt get the sense Rom I wanted to install.
So then .... I was stuck in Sideload Mode in CWM... so I quickly downloaded a non sense Rom.. one I was hoping would just sideload and not ask questions. Which It did! So now Im running SinLEssRom But When I go into rom settings and search for Fastboot Disable, or USB debugging option I dont see them....
Do I need to load a Sense rom for me to turn these settings off? Does any Sense rom install without using (I think its called Aroma installer)?
Can I go into CWM recovery, select sideload, and sideload the Recovery you suggested? Im afraid since im IN the recovery It would brick the phone...
Thansk for your time in reading all this...

OK, now to the important part: just connect your phone and try "adb reboot bootloader" if it works, great, go ahead and flash the new recovery.
If it doesn't, POWER OFF your phone, NOT RESTART, simply OFF. Once OFF press and hold VOL DOWN and POWER, when it turns on, let go of POWER and keep holding VOL DOWN. that will get you to bootloader, enter FASTBOOT connect to PC and it will change to FASTBOOT USB, then flash updated recovery.

Hey guys, I need some major help!
I was trying to update my phone earlier today, when I flashed Android Revolution HD 40.3 something very bad happened!
For some reason the ROM did not install properly, and I can't get back into recovery. I was using TWRP and the loading screen comes up for it, but it never fully launches.
I can get into the bootloader, and I tried using the Toolkit under fastboot. It seems like my phone is detected, but when I try and flash anything it doesnt work. Ive flashed both TWRP and clockword. They seem to flash because it will show the loading screen of either one, but it never actually enters the recovery. What should I do?
My phone is S-ON, I am not sure if that is what caused the problem/is what is keeping this an issue.
Thanks for your help

Does the phone just reboot before it enters recovery? I would try manually flashing a custom recovery image. Here is a link to the exact image I used.

It's very straightforward once you have fast boot setup. Don't worry I've been in your situation myself!

My phone was S-ON at the time, I recently gained S-OFF. You should still be able to flash a new recovery with S-ON. S-OFF is usually only needed for flashing new radios or firmwares.

How did you flash the recovery? Like I've said, I tried flashing a new recovery via the Toolkit. They do seem to flash, but I cant access the recovery. I'm not sure if my bootloader was relocked or what, but it doesn't go past the intro screen for TWRP or Clockwork

It could be possible that the toolkit is installing an incorrect version maybe? Switch off your phone. Once off hold vol - and power the phone on. This should load up HBOOT and tell you the boot loader status.
This is how I flashed recovery. I entered fastboot and used the commands from that link to flash a new recovery image. Have you used fastboot commands before?

If you have fastboot setup and working, just boot the phone into fastboot mode and use the commands in that link I gave you.
From fastboot. Use command "fastboot erase cache"
From fastboot. Use command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Then simply highlight "recovery", tap the power button and the phone should load up clockwordmod recovery.

It doesn't make you sound incompetent at all! Yes its just the bundle, then the drivers should be installed with that too. If you're not 100% sure there are plenty of guides online on how to setup fastboot.

I tried to install a Viper rom (the latest one) but it kept saying error and when I went back to reboot it said that my phone might be unrooted and there was a button that said FIX and a button that said No, reboot and another one that said go back. Through hesitation, I clicked go back on accident and it rebooted. I don't know why but it got stuck on bootloop. Now I stopped the boot loop by holding down the power button and the down volume key at the same time to go back to the bootloader. Now, my problem is, how can I fix everything? I can't boot back to recovery because it goes on a boot loop and I can't factory reset either. I tried using HTC One All in one toolkit but it doesn't recognize my device. It keeps saying "Error: device not found" but my phone clearly says Fastboot USB. I need help ASAP

First of all, don't use a toolkit. They rob you of the understanding you need to fix problems like this.
- You should be able to use fastboot to boot recovery. Can you?
- Did fastboot/USB connection ever work for you? How about adb?
- If you get fastboot working (drivers?), you can clear the cache with "fastboot format cache".
- If you can't boot recovery to do the other steps (factory reset and wiping the dalvik cache), you have bigger problems. But I think these steps CAN be done from the bootloader. Maybe not all of them--I'm not sure what will work and what won't, as far as various combinations of "fastboot erase dalvik / fastboot format userdata / fastboot erase userdata", etc.
- First, focus on booting recovery. Get fastboot working and clear the cache if you need to.
- Note that IF you can factory reset through fastboot (I'm not sure you can), it will wipe /sdcard as well.
adb doesn't recognize my device. I don't know why. I can't boot to recovery either.

What are my possibilities?
have you tried holding down the power button until it restarts?

I cant because the bootloader is locked and I cant unlock it because it wasnt enabled in the developers menu
This is not good ... I had a similar situation and ended up having a replacement sent. Not sure if anyone has come up with a fix yet (I don't believe anyone has), but at the time there was nothing that could be done.
Sounds like you have a clear warranty case... There's nothing you can do except send it back and get a new one.
Gues thats what ill do
Thanks
