Hi! I'm from Argentina and here there's still no official Jelly Bean update, and I don't wanna unlock the bootloader nor root the phone, I want it to stay as it is. And I found out, that the update is scheduled for Q2 2013:

}
So the update may come at any moment. And I'd like to know if it is better to wipe/factory reset the phone before or after the update is done, so that I keep my phone as fast as possible.
This is not an Bugfix, it's an bigger update. So I would suggest you to do the Factory Reset after the Update.
I did it on the I & the OG RazR and had never any problems after that. People that didn't wipe almost always complain about Bugs and higher Battery Drain.

Hi,
So recently I got a firmware update for my Sony Xperia Z (C6606) for another Jelly Bean build. I can't seem to find any tutorials or ways to root build 10.3.1.E.0.191.. If anyone knows of anyway I can root this build, please let me (and most likely a lot of others) know.
I've already tried DooMLord's v17 and v18 which did not work.
I also tried rootkitZ and rootkitXperia, and neither of them worked too.
Here is a screenshot of the build and model:

Updated yesterday from 4.1.2 via pc companion, all fine but this morning when I go out home it starts rebooting until battery is empty. So I decide to wipe all via update service, but again same problem.

First part of battery drain is because I reinstalled all I could, but at the end it simply collapses...

That's crazy wow I wonder if a clean wipe and flash with the flash tool would do a better job it's just a suggestion

Hey everyone.
I've owned my Z3C for about 3 months now and it's been an awesome experience (10 times better than my S4 Mini). I've also played around with flashtool and flashed different unbranded softwares to decide which Lollipop version runs the best on my phone.
However there have been a few times where I've flashed firmware only for the battery stats to break (as you can see in the picture).
Does anyone have a solution to fix this?
Recently I wanted to start fresh so I just factory reset my phone and this happened. And it's not the first time a factory reset caused this either.
The only known fix I know right now is to flash KitKat or the 620 version of Lollipop and to manually update it which prevents the stats from breaking. But that is really tedious [emoji14]
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dont panic, u have download mode so its fixable.try flashing another Rom or try to find the error by sorting sources out.

Sure you didnt accidentally sign up for beta?
What version are you on after the upgrade?
I'll check after the update.
I had signed up, but reverted back a few days ago. Am i still considered as part of the beta testers, if i downgraded and wiped the phone?
If so, how silly of me!
Possibly, sadly Denmark never gets included in the tests, which isnt a surprise, they dont even offer us Good Lock stuff over here.
I deeply apologise, it is beta all over again!
I thought i was not going to get it again after reverting to Android 11 and wiping the phone clean.
