[REQ] Volume Increments - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys us there any way to have the volume go up in smaller increments when tapping the volume rockers?
I can't seem to get a good balance, its either too quiet or too loud. If there was a 50% step between I'm sure that would fix it.

lowest volume being too loud - are there any hacks to build.prop config file
I have the same problem - with the lowest volume being too loud especially annoying when listening to radio 4 via tunein to send me to sleep - are there any hacks to build.prop config file

What about this - RomAur
This Rom has increased volume steps from 15 to 30, so I think this is what you're searching for.. You might ask auras76 for the edited lines in build.prop!?

There is definitely difference. Anything above these settings, makes sound broken at highest volume.

Headphones volume....

For example:
I watch videos in YouTube with headphones. And the sound volume is very very low. Yes i change the volume to the latest.
I tseted it with 3 headphones and everytime the same.
Before it was working very good. I am at rooted stock xxlqe.
What can i do?
Sry for my english
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
Well in my case this was headphones issue. Stock ones or one cheap pair without mic were both 'just ok' when maxed volume on android. Those got broken and I have bought pair from sony - still not high end as I do not need high end - that mid one is perfect and now I am using 10 - 50% range on volume control - higher is too loud in general and peaks are over transmission chart for them so sound gets distorred.
Btw check sound controls on youtube and on android - maybe youtube flash player controlls were lowered by accident.

Checked the settings. But still tge same. I think i must do factory reset and wipe.
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
I have done factory reset and installed light jb. But the sound volume with headset is again toooo low. Without Headsets is the volume good.
Why? How can i solve my problem?
I need help.
Thanks
Edit: i noticed that when i click and hold the button on my headset the volume rises up. I tried it on 3 differrnt headphones.
I need help

Make speakers louder

I've looked all over for a solution to make the speakers louder on 4.2.2 but no luck . When I got the phone it seamed loud but now I can't hear people when making calls in the car. I've tried beats off all different volumes and all the crap apps but still it's no louder than my note. I've read that HTC have lowered the volumes on 4.2.2 is there any way to get the volume back and make the speakers louder. Please don't respond by saying your phone is loud enough as mine isn't!!
Thanks
There is a zip to make it really loud again.

Both are correct. HTC has lowered the volume repeatedly in their upgraded firmwares. The man who said his is still loud is most likely still running old >1.26 FW.
Now, as of a way to raise these volumes im not quite sure how to do this through file editing (Maybe the zip in post #2 or #3 works, idk, if your in dire need, nandroid and flash it) BUT if youre up to flashing a kernel (assuming youre running 4.2.2 and are on sense) you can flash Tbaldens Performance Kernel (in Orig. Android Dev. section) and that will give you options to boost volumes on multiple fronts. I can confirm this works myself, as i use this feature actively and dont experience any crackling or popping. If you decide to download this kernel, youll need Trickstermod Kernel Control app from the Play Store to edit the values.
(Lol, seems like alot but i promise its not. Plus you get extra sweet features like USB Fastcharge, and Overclocking and all that jazz with the kernel. Its worth it)

I gave it a try. For me ACID sound was much better, but it's currently not supporting 4.3 well. I tried a lot of options in VIPER, but still with only Poweramp settings it sounds amazing, so no 'audio boosters' are needed.
Yep this is the best.
Totally recommend.
Easy installation, superior quality and tons of settings.
I think this is better in overall than ACID mod.

I recommend the pureaudio v1.0 mod. My sennheiser momentum dont Like viper4droid Every setting that i apply gives a sound quality drop. But the pure audio increases the sound

I also recommend ViPER4Android. It's the best.
takes some time to adjust all the settings because there is so many choices(not complaining) but once perfected it satisfied my needs as a audiophile
this mod is just simply amazing

Tried standard FX mode (super quality and power save). The sound is awesome but I experience high cpu temperature and massive battery drain. Even charging doesn't work properly anymore (connected but it's not charging, like -1% in 5 mins).
Does anybody experience similar problems or know why this occurs?
EDIT: I'm on Vanir nightly of 21.10
with Optimus Play kernel.
UPDATE: Tried to install it again as I wanted to figure out why I got this drain. After driver installation and reboot I watched the cpu freqs with Trickster Mod for quite some time and they got stuck on 4 cores over 475 MHz all the time (heat and drain apparent).
After another reboot I played around with trickster's settings (1core max, 2 cores max, power save mod etc) and suddenly after about 3 mins my cpu cooled down real quick and only the needed cores were online.
Now after 2 hours I have no drain anymore. Not sure what happened but I'm glad I can use this awesome mod.

Volume control

I am now running liquid smooth 4.2.2 and the volume is just too quiet. I have tried a few of the apps that increase the volume slightly by equalizer adjustments, but unfortunately its not enough.
I tried to use viper4android but it was too confusing, and didn't seem to make a difference when playing with a few settings. I wasn't sure which of the 4 CPU options to select either as I've seen different suggestions.
Any help much appreciated!

Its an app / mod that requires work from the user and is not yet at a flash and forget stage . But their is no better sound app and latest version should install correct driver .
CPU driver to use is CortexA9/15 with NEON.
Ive got it running on pac rom it is called 63 sound mod and its a cwm flashable file and it works
