When this Forum Section launched i already asked this question but back then, we were on ICS and things haved changed i belive
Today i was searching through system apps, removing unused apps and moving Google Play Apps to the Internal Space...
Then i found an app called HdmiSettings...
Thought its a stock JB app but when i looked into the manifest i found it made by INTEL !?
While this app is hidden (or the settings option?) when using my new favorite app tasker and launching an app via a task, in the app list when having enabled "ALL" the app shows up as "HDMI"
when i launch it i can enable hdmi, there are several options, but only available when connected i gues...
still dont have such an adapter, can anybody try it out please?
Will post a Scrot from my phone later

Now, i want tell you that why OB got bad support.
Eg. SGS.
Has same Cortex-A8 same specs....etc.
But why is it with good support??
It uses Exynos.... which is by Samsung.
So everything is made Samsung.
LG OB.
Why bad??
Cause 2 companies make 1 thing.
TI OMAP 3630 + LG....
So, it is tougher. Cannot synchronise what they do.
If LG combines(means they also make ARM processors), then OB will be success, cause OB will be pure LG. But what we using now is both combine.
Sorry my english bad.

Pretty clear that you haven't read much about rooting, so do that and ask again next week.

I think you misunderstand me quite a bit. I know plenty about rooting. This has nothing to do with rooting. ( i assume your referring to permission denied error) im not a noob. This error occurs in conjunction with terminal emulator saying the ubuntu img is corrupted. Its not. Anyways i was just looking for confirmation to see if anyone had actually got ubuntu for android working on n7000 and any advice they might have with this issue im running into

Oooh! Sorry about that then! Your post is a little hard to understand. I haven't tried to put Ubuntu on my Note, so i can't really help you. Hopefully someone that has done it will help you

its all good thank you though! im really surprised this isnt more widespread. i had to actually go looking for the idea of putting a desktop OS on an android phone in google to find it. i figured the CM team and well heck everyone would be all over this. imagine replacing your laptop/desktop with just your phone. you dock your phone and poof ubuntu is up on your monitor. the true mobile desktop.
EDIT: not to mention your phone would be charging on this dock as you use it....GENIUS! and imagine if everyone had this dock solution, you could use your phone at any of your friends/ families/ schools/ work/ etc...
Buddy, I 2 m trying 2 do so for last 5 months... But no success yet... M not demoralising u but there is no way you can run ubuntu smoothly on SGN

easy, man.
im just kidding :sly:
I think andrasandhi was only joking bones
Ok its just alot of people decide to be funny on forums and post unhelpful and unnecessary comments, I hate people that are rude to those that are less able to understand things im no Einstein but I share any knowledge I have to those that want to listen. But no harm no foul a joke is joke you just never can tell unless a peron is physically talking to you.

I have bought a flip cover and so thought of having an app for it which turns on screen as i open the cover and turns off when i close it.
So i searched xda- and found on "proximity off 6.1" but when i installed and config the settings and when i used it , it turned the screen off but when i removed the cover the screen never woke up.
So had to restart the phone:what:
So i tried 2-3 more apps from playstore but they were the same. Nothing worked me.
I'm on DDULP8 ,cocore 6.0, amd no mods.
So anyone know a good app for this cover purpose? Plz tell.

A few weeks back I saw an app... It is not exactly what you are looking for.. It uses the phone's front camera to automatically detect the presence of a person and unlocks it.. BUT it drains a lot of battery as it will frequently turn on the camera to look for a face (although your display will be turned off)
Did you try that? If no then I will try to search for that thread again
Sent from my SGSA... If my post(s) helped you in any way then please wish me Good Luck for my exams!
I got an app cover lock working. It didn't work on cocore 6.0 when i returned to stock kernel it worked fine.
But now its not working correctly, as i have edited my SystemUI.apk. but the things which i have edited were only pngs, i dont know why that app started to misbehave now.
