Hey guys,
Using every video conference app I can find, it defaults to the rear camera.
I recently upgraded gtalk to the new version with video conference - tried it using a test account on my laptop (camera conference between phone account and laptop account) and again, defaults to the rear camera.
Would anyone know of any fix to this? None of the apps I've found so far provide even the option to switch, which would seem like the most obvious thing to do!
Cheers

I'm experiencing the same problem.
I just installed Yahoo Messenger for Android (official app) which has now support for video calling, but again it uses only the rear camera.
Maybe there's a tweak/hack to make the apps "think" that the front camera is the rear camera?
Ive tried yahoo, tango, fring and gtalk it ain't working lol

I had a question, is there any working video calling app for Black wich is using the front facing camera?
don't find yet...
So we must wait for 2.3...

Skype last update works with our Black, but i dosen't very well (for me). Try, and please tell me how does it work. Bye
This version worked on my Nova (never tried on the stock ROM).
"Use Preview Surface" Should Be Checked for the front cam.

Tango should also work now.

Ive tried using the camera ICS app with my phone but it shows the whole camera inverted , so does anyone know a solution for this??
so many came dont support our device Like Camera 360 Also :'( #StockOsBug
I had a jcullins peview before it was good, but not as good as schizoid 1.20 OC which is almost a perfect ROM.
Well in jcullins I had my camera working, I couldn't record but I was able to take pictures,
I noticed this ROM has no camera Icon so I downloaded CameraMX and noticed that the camera works!,
But its upside down & the axes are inverted, is there a camera fix I can flash?
Any help on can fix? How can I do it?
If your running 2.0, then as of right now there is no fix. They just got the camera working a few days ago in 4.2.2.

Settings->Advanced, and there's an option to set the camera orientation.
I`ve installed CWM 12.1 on my s advance ...................... as it was written in that thread that video recording will have green band, so is there any app or trick to use video camera in normal mode
It's hardware video encoding what's broken, so if an app use software video encoding it will work but at lower quality

I think this is often offered: VivaVideo: Free Video Editor or VivaVideo Pro:Video Editor App
Camu it's supposed to work too.
Those are the most common mentioned...

cm12.1 fix Camera - Video recording
: flash this
www.goo.gl/lUkVot
you can try for yourself, but it litreally slowed down my camera , but yea video is recording . ,it replaced stock camera of my rom
I've read that it's not a real fix, it just replace the stock camera with camu...
I haven't tried, that's just what I've read
It's more like a workaround than a fix
yep ! you are right

If I'm not wrong you can install cyanogen camera from playstore.
You can also flash a Gapps package that includes Google camera to get it as default I guess...
