[Q] Which HTC HD7 Official ROM

Hello, i need help from you .About a week ago I bought a htc HD7 and i didnt know that i have a noon-official rom on my phone.I cant update my phone i always get the 80180008 error.In microsoft forum they sad that i soud take official rom and than update my phone...Can you tell me which ROM i shoud to flash .Mine rom ===> 7714.WM7_Main(DFT).20110808-0046...i need official Rom .Thank you.and soory if i post on wrong place

But at this point I'd just flash a custom rom to be honest with you. Already come developer/interop unlocked and most have additional themes added. I'm running the shining rom right now. Works/looks great and will have all the same mango updates as the official one plus a few more apps that aren't available in the official one.

Ok. Don't flash that one then. I'd still look into a custom rom though. The official rom would be in the hd7 development section. Not sure which one you would flash though. Might be tmo Europe not sure look in that thread.. Hd7 is called Schubert by HTC so that's how the ruu's are named. Changing sim wouldn't matter you have to match rom to specific hardware.

That one isn't an official rom if it needs hspl.
Hspl is an unlocked bootloader that allows you to flash custom roms.
You already have that installed.
I would just flash a custom rom at this point. New custom roms have all the updates plus more apps that wouldn't be available otherwise.
Here's a link to the rom I use. He says it's worldwide so should work.

the link to all Shipped ROMs for the HTC Schubert is in my signature.

Ill download the last mango ROM for europe and when i want to flash i get error 260 :/ something wit conection but i have a right cable and its connected to my computer...

Custom tones have to be in zune with the Genre set as ringtone.

hm i dont have that ringtone option ... :O

Just create a genre in Zune called Ringtone then give the tones you want to use the same genre. I just googled "make custom ringtone mango" or something similar and found an easy tutorial.

HTC HD7 Bell *unlocked*

hey awhile ago I bought an HTC HD7 phone off of a guy that brought it from the UK, so the phone had no 3g! (only edge) BUT I could do everything else even tethering or internet sharing, so I found the edge super slow and annoying so I bought a bell phone unlocked it and is working with 3g, BUT the option to use the internet sharing is MISSING! WTF? and ontop of that I get the dissappering keyboard sh*t! what I would like to know if this ALL BELL fones doing this or just MINE? and can I fix this? thanks

man you guys are slow at answering, isn't there anyone else here who has a bell htc unlocked that can answer? I know there is some of you who do! c'mon help out!

Ive have a sim unlocked HD7 phone since Sept 2011 using a Bell sim card.
The phone was bought in Toronto and was new when purchased..The Store clerk informed me it was a Telus phone originally.I too waited eagerly for the Tethering option to come in updates..The last update 7740 was supposed to include tethering...However it appears that the Providers have not allowed this to be part of the update.. Bell HD7..Rogers Samsung Focus.. It seems we will have to do our home work here at XDA and use one of these great Roms here that include tethering.. LOL i just have not got up the Dingles to attempt it...

I have to say I am really amazed at how b(h)ell cripples these phones! no wonder no one likes going with them or thier service! why on earth would they wanna leave this out when there is money to be made! man they're stupid and bad business minded! and I agree with ya, I would luv to install one of these great roms but I dont have the patience nor dingles to do so!

btw I forgot to mention in my rant that I'm with ROGERS! the fone is a bell fone tho...

Geez guys, get the phones unlocked, downgrade your spl and start installing custom roms. I've got a bell hd7, I got it unlocked, and used the information in the forums to downgrade sol, and install custom roms. Most custom roms offer tethering. If you follow the instructions you LL be good.. feel free to pm me for any questions or info

thanks. There are many Bell HD7 users who have a hard time going through the info looking for details as the Bell stuff is limited.
What do you consider to be the best Rom for Bell users who want to be up to date and have the option of tethering ?
Also, where is our best starting point if we have the most recent 7740 update ? Do we have to go all the back to a NODO factory rom to go to a custom ?

uhm, well its personal choice the "best rom" i've tried eburon, intrinsic, deepshining, dft v2, and nextgen.i am currently on nextgen v2.1, and am downloading the newest version 2.2, I did like deepshining as well.
ill find the links for the guides, and post them, ive uploaded the roms I ve used to my megaupload account, i'll post the links if you guys want to use the "same" files. I dont know how fast it would be for someone to download from megaupload as a guest. go to megaupload and sign up for a free account.
i will try and find a copy of my info before i downgraded.

umm if U read my post again, I said that my phone is unlocked HENCE the reason I am able to slap my rogers sim card in it, also I don't know how to downgrade and install custome roms and I couldnt be bothered as its too long of a process and complicated and I dont wanna brick my phone if I f**k up! maybe if I had someone walk me throught it then that would be a differant story...anyone here live in montreal and wanna meet at a cafe to show me? I'm buying!! LOL

Took the dive and it was VERY easy when following the rules listed on the thread I posted.

@be_man36. what's your spl? Put it into bootloader by power off and power back on and hold volume down. After just battery pull. And what mango are u on 7720 or 7740

It was really easy after reading.
follow the link I posted. Make sure you have a good to full charge. Took less than 60 seconds to downgrade the SPL
after that you are free to use any custom rom you want.

No as of right now it's not possible. I'm sure there's someone working on it since the HD2 is its predecessor and they both use the same chipset and are very similar in hardware, so there maybe a possibility in the future.

Really!?! WP7 has come along way since it's release and we will continue to see development on our device...windows 7.8 is just around the corner and so is windows 8.
Have you unlocked your HD7 and flashed a custom rom so that you can tweak and modify it?
I'm not sure when it will be released.. It took alot of time and work to get the HD2 to be able to duel boot and run Android on it.
If you can't wait and really don't like WP7 OS that much, then I would suggest to get the HTC Desire HD, which is basically the same device as the HD7 but runs Android OS or get the HTC HD2.

and also how can i install games that i downloaded from torrent??its XAP file. i don have any credit cards, I dont belong to any school and college to have a developer id as student..i just wan to unlock it to develope.i do have sdk 7.1 application deployment software which i downloaded days before and now its telling me to developer unlock the device. so if u can help me with this then that would be great...I am not kind of doing these stuffs but m learning it quick since i took HD7 and what is flash a custom rom mean exactly.???

For the developer unlock program without the student ID, you would have to purchase it at like $99.00 for a years use and since you don't have a credit card that's probably not an option then.
To install XAP files your device does need to be unlocked to allow side loading of apps.
Flashing of a custom rom means to wipe and replace the factory OEM rom with a new custom rom that has been developed/created for our device specifically. There are many available that fully unlock our devices and allow for customization through registry tweaks and hacks, installation of XAP's and so forth.
Here's a couple of great custom roms for our HD7. Look them over and decide for yourself which one is best suited for you. There's more custom roms available also in the HD7 development section. I would suggest one that is running the Tango 8779 build as these will have the most features like export of contacts to SIM card, sending ringtones through SMS and so on.

It depends on what your bootloader and spl are.
Put your device into bootloader mode by powering off the device. Hold down the volume key and power the device back on while continuing to hold down the volume key. This will bring you into bootloader mode a tri-colored screen. Copy down the information from the BL screen and post it back and I'll tell the next best step to go in.

Ok so you have a security unlocked bootloader... I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to keep that and flash a custom rom. What region are you in and what is your firmware numbers? Goto settings, about and more info

Ok. Well then you'll have to use the goldcard/ Y cable method. Unless you have a pre-mango back up in Zune. Meaning you updated your device to mango OS version and if so you still have the computer that you used to do it on.

The good thing is the Y cable is cheap and you can easily make it yourself and you need a flash drive or sd card reader. Here's a guide on how to do it:

Why in the first place you bought a WP7 device? I bought it because I don't like android very much, I don't despise it (that honor goes to the CrApple FailOS)
If you wanted Android, you should have bought any droid device, and you'll be happy.
Now, if you want android because of the "curiosity" or "experimentation"... Why you bought the HD7? the honor of running any Android version is for the Immortal HTC HD2.
Maybe you thought or somebody told you, that the HD7 has the same hardware as the HD2, which is true, the only problem and difference is the Windows Phone Bootloader.
The Bootloader, my friend is the one and only reason we can't have Android on any WP device... This answer has been repeated on these android threads a LOT.
If you want android so badly, sell the HD7 and get any Samsung, HTC, LG or whatever device fits your needs.

It's just out of my curiosity. I don't own this phone myself, though I do play around with phones, sometimes voluntarily and sometimes I'm paid to do so
One of my friends just exchanged his China-made Android phone with this one. Having known, and played with legendary HD2, I was wandering if people flashed it with droids already. And it seems like its not taken any step further towards the Androids
I should dig in further to see what others have achieved and what I can do, if I can get hold of the phone longer, though

hi ^_^. uhm how to upgrade my phones android version? it is froyo . how to upgrade it to gingerbread or jellybean or any upgrade for my phone ? sorry im super new to this

Officially our Ace only supports froyo and gingerbread.
The best way to upgrade you phone from froyo to gingerbread is to use "Kries". Download it from the oifficial samsung site and install it on your pc. After that Kies will install some phone drivers and you can connect your phone via USB to Kies and it will ask you to update your firmware to gingerbread. Click yes and Kies does the rest for you.
If you want to go one step further and want ICS & JB on your phone you have to root it and install CWM. There are several threads here where it's explained.

i have tried updating with kies. it did detect my phone and update it. but after the update was finished the kies automaticaly closed and nothing happens to my phone , still froyo ,, can u help me about this? thanks in advance ^_^
and also is superoneclick effective on rooting my phone with out any problem?

Finally . i have upgraded my phone from froyo to ginger bread. idi use kiea with a minimum of tweaks and alot of patience and nervous ^_^. thanx guys any ways u help me. on somthing ^_^

whats next after upgrading my phone? hihi i dontknow what to do . like chaing my themes etc.

if you are on stock gb then i think you can taste themes by using other launchers
also go to themes and apps section for more info

please step by step coz im new ^_^ my device is GB 2.3.4 by the way. idont know how to put themes because it has a lot of downloading etc

bro i just told you to try launchers
try go or adw launcher both are available on playstore for free and also have many themes free of them
everything is in playstore

now heres the problem mate. icant connect to internet via wifi. before when ididnt upgraded my phone ., even in a fair wifi connection it connects but now ., it does connect but there is no internet connection . kindly help me please. it says no connection T_T what i have done sirs

What does it exactly say? Not connected/Error or doesn't it even find wlan?

it connects to a wifi. its a free wifi though but there no intrnet connection or cant open ay website

Free wifi? Did you tried if the wlan is working on other devices (PC)? Maybe there is the problem.

There are roms for samsung galaxy s3 mini VE (I8200N)?

Hello i am new and i don't know anything about flash and install rom
Prerequisites:
- I speak very little English.
- I have Windows.
- I am from italy and i bought this phone in italy.
That said, I would put a rom in my phone and i don't want it bricked.
I would like the rom had an Android KitKat/Lollipop interface.
Can anyone give me instructions to put a rom in my phone? It isn't rooted and i don't want lost warranty/have a bricked phone.

theres no roms for you version yet but theres a thread where theres a few trying to port and make from scratch. just search and youll fond it, its a small community at the minute but the more who joins and puts there knowledge together the more yous will get done.

is there any news on a rom for i8200N?
i have rooted it and TWRP but there is no ROM i dont even need the newest, just one to remove simlock (4.4.4 oder 5 would be best though )

folow my thread i update it when we have some new things.our knowledge is few and i will try for the best !!!
