[Q] Just need some information??

Hi all,,im new user of LG Optimus 4X HD and i have some (noob) question
This is my first LG smartphone mobile and i just wana to know some information about bootloader..
I know that my bootloader is locked (im on stock officialy ics rom) but where i can check that info on lg? when i type 3845#*880#-----version info----SW Version info---AP Bootloader Version it says UNKNOW ????? When i press power and volume up to go in recovery there is no any info about bootloader,, like HTC devices has (locked or unlocked) ? So is there any info about bootloader on this device? Tnx

bootloader in ICS is locked. Nothing to do about it, for now... later we'll see but, once in JB I don't believe
that someone wants to remain or go back to ICS.

"bootloader in ICS is locked" --yes i know its locked but where in the phone i can find that info ?

there is no place to check it like is possible in jb in the secret menu,im not sure if there is an alternative to fastboot getvar all but for adb

First welcome to our forum , I hope will find what you need .
Why do you want to know 'how to check' .
It's locked in ICS , unlockable in JB (for devices are EUR-xxx ,, after flash JB see the software info in settings) .
You can check it by :-
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Fastboot flash kernel xxx.img
Then you will get an error says :- error partition is locked .
Update your phone to JB and then unlock it , then check it in the hidden menu (3845#*880#) , goto bootloader status (or something like that) then will see it "unlock" (of course after you unlock it) .
About check them in recovery (like HTC devices) , in LG you can check them in download mode , you will see "unlocked bootloader" in the corner of screen .

Unable to Unlock Bootloader

Hello every one!
I had CM installed latest version and it went to the warranty and returned unrooted and bootloader locked again!
Now I can´t unlock the bootloader
I'm trying to run the All-In-One tool by Afro and reboots but the phone says permission denied!
It's late so I wont go do a deep search but dos any one have some idea?

I think you have to unlock the Bootloader with adb.
If this wont work try to flash a other firmware.

try the fuse editing method, but it's likely your phone is permalocked by lg. they tend to do that when you send phone in for repairs.

Indeed, but if they did this to me I'd be demanding a new phone as they can't legally restrict you from unlocking the bootloader in the EU, especially once they put that option into the latest software versions.

[Q] Relock bootloader and then go back to v10f

I am trying to sell this phone. Because I dont want that somebody take this phone to service and that they discovers unlocked bootloader. Now, in locking-unlocking app it is said that I have to be on rooted v20 (4.1 android). Can I do that and with locked bootloader flash v10f that came originally with phone? Anybody knows?

Thats a good question. But I think there isnt a anser. Yes you can try to flash v10 so it wont show you that the bl is opend. The problem is, if you update to 4.1.2, you will be possible to detect the opend bootloader.

Just want to relock global version 8.2

My frustration level is super high with this brand new Mi Mix I bought from a US reseller that came unlocked with the official latest global rom version. Before I decide to return it, can anyone please tell me a simple way to relock the bootloader so I can download Netflix and use this device like normal? I can't even get the Mi PC suite to recognize its connected. Very annoying!

do you try mi flash? there are options clean install dirty and clean relock install

No, do I need too flash the rom again with the tool to relock or is there an option to just lock the bootloader only? Will I still get Global Rom updates after relocking? Am I able to unlock in the future since it's already been unlocked once by the reseller? Thanks for your earlier response! I'm just not that good with all the modification stuff.

And for The re unlock You have to need a code if your seller unlock it then You have to get xiaomi unlock permission again once You recieve The code with your acc You can lock relock unlock anytime You want

Thanks! So can I just do a clean reinstall directly from the phone and will it automatically lock for me? I apologize - I'm not really technical with this stuff. I'm on the latest Global Rom that's on the official site. I don't want to change my rom or root in any manner. I just want keep it the way it is and simply lock the bootloader. I have read some other guides about flashing and downloading a whole bunch of drivers and changing settings on my PC to get it to work. Isn't there any easier way of doing this? I want it to work like if I just bought it at a store and allow me to set it up like have with my S8+.

I am surprised to read by your reply; I thought the bootloader could be relocked using a fastboot command. I have bought a Mi6 a few days ago and it came with an EU rom. I decided to flash the Global Rom using the regular update tool from the rom itself, but unfortunately TWRP was installed, something I hadn't checked... and I bricked the phone. I managed to reflash the stock recovery (in chinese) in fastboot and I the phone some how booted again and I could reflash the rom from the update tool and this seems to have flashed a new stock recovery as it is now in english?
My bootloader is still unlocked, but I guess I could use the fastboot command to relock the phone as I now have a stock recovery along with a stock Global Rom? What do you think?

In my non expert opinion and little experience flashing som custom roms and then going back to official (beta and stable), and back again to custom with twrp recovery and all... Sure and easiest method for going to any of the official roms and having the bootloader relocked is to flash chosen rom with fastboot update: for the Mix: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
That way, which I understand is what @gman901 did, with the same package you get back to locked bootloader, stock recovery, etc.
I got my Mix unlocked also, which I didn't mind as I quickly rooted and went to try some fantastic custom roms. But the first weeks, when going back and forth and trying this and that, at some point I wanted to go back to vanilla official global stable, and from there to global developer. To do the first step from custom rom only fastboot update worked.

i accedently flashed stock recovery as in ramdisk recovery partition in twrp, now there no recovery , please help !

yeah sir i know , but my frb is locked and even cant enable in settings , oem option is untouchable , it cant be enabled , please help , wht should i do , and also i am on kingvip rom

you have now FRP-Lock ?
have you twrp/backup from last state (before install kangvip)
then test twrp/restore and look if phone work FRP=unlock
it is better if you need help - give more info : what is your build ? LLD-xxxxxxxx / what is delivered OS ( first delivered "7.xx", current "8.xx")

No sir i don't have backup of last state. And i can't go to twrp as i installed stock recovery
My build is 8.0.0142 c675 indian version
Now there is another problem now. I searched for solutions and got the answer as to relock bootloader. Then i relocked it with fastboot cammand. Now the phone is bricked and restarting to erecovery after honor logo. Currently status is phone relocled and frp lock in fastboot.
Please help

sorry, now you have big problem !
Relock Bootloader is the greatest Bull**** by phones ! (my opinion !) if you relock bootloader WITH damage-rom you have a "damage-phone" !!!
please search "repair bootloop with bootlooder relock".
for future if your phone again work
- unlock bootloader AND let it open
- download your build FULL-Update (now you have backup for repair - if needed)
this 2 point's is very important
i think you have 1 chance to self-repair : search "recovery_ramdisk_BKL-L04_nocheck.img"
but - this is no simple. you must read and understand before you do ! I DONT KNOW if this work for you !!!

that's the point. if user install dev-rom and this work not 100% good AND then relock bootloader ...
if now bootloader locked - you need "fastboot flash oem unlock your-unlock-code"
if you have FRP-lock you dont can "fastboot flash xyz"

Well, I think @Snober can still revive his H9L by flashing a stock firmware using a paid service such as dc-unlocker bypassing the frp lock.

i dont know if dc-unlocker work with frp lock.
but i think it is a test worth - only it cost 15€ (ca. 15$) (if not work only 15€ lost - new phone cost 230€ [in germany])
i think if it's not work, dc-unlocker rewrite money to user-account. but my last dc-unlocker use a little time before now

Can the phone be warranty as my phone status in fastboot is phone relocked and frp lock .
Will they detect the phone was unlocked or something like that . I mean will any problems comes . ?

Got My phone repaired in service center for free. They didn't see as the phone was in relocked state. So happy ?

For future reference: Stock ROM appears to require a network connection in order to enable FRP, so, connect with WiFi and it should become touchable.
