JMZ Power Saver disabler on the market is what I used. Root is required.
But I think it can be done using Xposed also.

way more easy if you use system tuner and disable the notification service for it. Obviously, you'll need root for that.

There is a simple way to do this. Go to settings, apps, all, find Power and uncheck show notifications.
No root required.

Or just hold press on the notification area and it would open a UI to disable it lol!

On my stock Rom, the option for disabling the notifications was grayed out. So I had to use the option via system tuner. Seems to differ within the versions..

Ah damn grayed out for me too!

I have 'force stopped' power... the notification is gone
Will this give me issues?

You don't disable it guys.... Scroll lower on the App info. There's an option there to disable notifications. That's what you should uncheck.
This is a default jellybean feature. Look at the article below to know how to do it.

Grayed out for me too.

any option for those who are not rooted?
this notification is really pissing me off as since it's the "top" notification my other notifications don't auto expand.
and i find the the fact that htc disabled the option to turn off notifications for it rather annoying as well since one of the features of jelly bean of being able to disable notifications is specifically for crap like this.

[Q] Probably the dumbest question evar...

...but the HELL do you adjust brightness, unless I'm missing something lol. Under Display the option to adjust brightness is grayed out and there's no other option I see to adjust... unless I'm missing something and been awake for too long and losing brain cells here.
Is automatic brightness checked? If so, you'll need to uncheck it to manually override it.
Hard to describe it, but the option to select it is grayed out, maybe this picture can help?

Mine does the same thing. I had to add the power control widget and change it that way.

Lol wow, I didn't even bother to think of that!!
It did the trick, but still wish there was a way to get that option enabled. I wonder if it's like that because of the 3D stuff? I guess it helps with it or something.
Do you have frozen apps? If so it might be from that I had the same thing I unfreeze them then its good again. Or download brightness control widget the use that then go to your settings see if its showing again not grayed out

Don't see how, just turned it on not too long ago. Checked running apps and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Even rebooted and still did it.
Try installing brightness level from market use that then go to the settings and check see if anything has changed

That works great, but option is still grayed out, lol.
I can live with using a widget though, I just wanted my BL to be on Auto and the little widget thing allowed me to do it. Strange that some phone work and others don't.
Everyone is running Froyo 2.2.2 just to be sure right?
Yes but mine was grayed out also then I did that it became not grayedout

[Q] Soft Keys don't go away

As the title says, when I'm on the lock screen, the home and back button are already visible. This is annoying, is there someone else with this problem? Maybe a solution? Everything is stock. The strange thing is, when I try to make a screen shot of it, they go away...
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
That's totally normal. The softkey bar is always present, since the softkeys are essential for operating the device.
No I mean, when your on the lock screen, that bar is supposed to be all black. Well not anymore, the back and home button already appeared. They should appear when the device is unlocked.

I don't think it's supposed to be all black. It isn't on my phone, and it wasn't on any other phone I've seen.

You're correct! I apologize. I must've mixed things up. I checked again and indeed the bar is all black on my lockscreen as well.
Stock Android 4.1.2, but I found the cause of it. Unbelievable, it was the Sony smart key app. When I installed it the problem happend. And guess what, now u deleted the app, the bar is back black. Can someone else try this to see if it is just my phone or it is the app?

I was having the same irritating issue...and also found the Smart Key app to be the culprit. It occurred on .140 as well as AT&T's .120.
After deleting Smart Key, the problem has not returned.

Just picked up the moto x and I have a few questions

How do you re enable apps? I can't find out where messaging asp went after I disabled it. Also is there a way to set a menu button as a soft key? I can't delete messages in Facebook because there is no menu button. Thanks on advance.

You should be able to reenable apps from the apps settings page. >Settings>Apps>-swipe to the right several times->-select app->-select enable
I can add the menu button to your navbar. You are on a sprint Moto X right? Did you take the OTA? Are you rooted? Bootloader unlocked? Recovery installed? Functioning ADB on your computer? Ill need all of the files in /system/framework/ and your SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex (both located in /system/app/)
If I get permabaned today (highly likely) then find me on rootzwiki under the same name.
I go to setting, apps go to all apps and it's not in there.

No. I found it though. All the apps I have disabled are in the all apps section at the very bottom. I am on a sprint moto x, didn't take any ota. I just got this phone. Previous owner could have taken the ota. Stock and unrooted. Stock recovery, I don't think I have adb any more.

Notifications management t

He friends!
I found a lot of notifications apps. But no one works like I want.
Notification center, for example, provide possibilities to dismiss notifications but take a slot, dubled native notification center and have not good filtration.
Pebblify provide perfect filtration setup.
Augmented have a lot of settings but very complicated in setup, mixed different function...
Etc.
Maybe it is possible:
- replace the official notifications center to some custom instead parallel installation,
- parallel working of notification manager like Notification center with filter like Pebblify together,
- in the feature create universal notification app for official app replacing combined better ideas from different apps?
Thank you!

Try Light Flow. I believe it is the most comprehensive notification control app. And it can send to pebble.

Is it just announced? I found no this function in v2b4, maybe I missed something?

Now I use this mod of Notification center http://forums.getpebble.com/discussion/9842 with per-app filtration, but I do not like it for some reasons.
I found that the Pebblify provide the best way of notification management. But it working via accessibility, and I'm not sure if notification sent this way can be dismissed through both devices. ?
