[Q] Thinking to update to JB. Please help. - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hello everyone, I want to upgrade to JB. Mine is AINDBK. I want unlocked bootloader and CWM. Root too. I actually don't know what to do first. Please tell me-
1. From which link to download V20A unlockable (official direct download link prefered).
2. Root first or bootloader unlocking first.
3. Where to get adb for Win 7 32-bit
4. Exact step of unlocking bootloader (as I never used adb with some script or command and this is my first android phone).
5. Most of all, is AINDBK unlockable?

3. You really should use some of search option on this, but try this http://www.droidgator.com/install-adb-usb-drivers-for-android-devices/, and you need to install latest PC sync or LGMobile support tools for the latest drivers
4. LG email about unlocking : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224020 (to use adb commands you need to run cmd and navigate with cd.. and cd comands where your adb application is, or just navigate with explorer to your extracted folder/sdk/platform-tools folder, hold shift and right mouse click on platform-tools folder, select open command window here )
5. After some forum reading i can only say that the unlocking bootloader is connected with phone because when people flash (above link) euro open software they dont get EURO-XXX (unlock possible) in software information of the phone (not the rule, some people get it to work wirh different region code(codes outside Europe region) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2222650) so your is 99% unlockable.

Finally: the Bootloader unlock exploit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245836 (every version)
1. Download and extract this attached zip-file for easy unlocking, if you are on 20a: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40011764&postcount=1
2. activate USB debugging, connect phone to usb, doubleclick BL_unlock_edited.bat, wait and only press "enter" until everything is done.
3. boot phone, dial 3845#*880# -> check bootloader unlock
CONFIRMED WORKING!
and thanks for the effort everyone!
(if you are stuck on the fastboot-step, you probably need to install the fastboot drivers. instructions for that are at the bottom of this post)
Old post:
Well, at the moment it seems like only phones with the 20a firmware version EUR-XXX are able to get their bootloader unlocked.
The problem: Some phones won't flash to EUR-XXX, it _seems_ IMEI (or provider/carrier) dependent, to which firmware your phone flashs.
Until now (March, 20th, 2013) there are serveral confirmed unlockings of a model from the "unlockable" list by people living in unlockable countries/using unlockable carriers, but this can be IMEI related, too.
[UNLOCKABLE LIST]
So far:
unlockable: (Model taken from URL+IMEI output, see 1.)
ANEUWH
ATHABK
APOLBK
ACWTBK
ACWTWH
ASTLWH
ASWSBK
ABALBK
AGRCBK
AAREBK
ASEABK
ASEAWH
AITABK
AHKGBK
AFRABK
ANLDBK
ATCIBK
APRTWH
AHKGBK
6BRABK
ATURBK
not unlockable::
ADEUWH (flashes to 262-000) (some people with ADEUBK on german carriers o2 and telekom were able to unlock, but maybe IMEI related)
ADEUBK (flashes to 262-000)
AHUNBK (flashes to 218-05) (one confirmed unlock of a phone to EUR-XXX registered in Croatia)
AGBRBK (flashes to 234-000)
ASWSWH (flashes to 232-10) (one confirmed unlocking by LGaljo, who lives in slovenia)
AHASBK (flashes to 232-10)
ATMDBK (flashes to 262-01)
ACLPBK (flashes to 233-00)
6VIVBK (flashes to 724-06)
APRTBK (flashes to 268-01)
[PLEASE POST YOUR INFO]
To confirm this and to gather info for the developers, please post this data about your phones:
1. Firmware version before flash:
2. Firmware version after flash:
3. unlocked:
4. Label:
5. Carrier:
you get the info to 1: go to URL http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI, klick on the link (copy&paste will not work because "..."), append your IMEI after the =. Firmware version is the string after "LGP880"
you get the info to 2: system settings -> phone info -> software information -> software version
you get the info to 3: dial 3845#*880# -> check bootloader unlock
you get the info to 4: Its printed at the back of your phone's box
you get the info to 5: your mobile service provider's name and country. something like orange, telekom, vodafone, etc.
I'll start with
1. ADEUWH
2. 262-000
3. no
4. DEU WHITE WHITE
5. Simyo/germany

In another mail LG support mentioned that unlocking is IMEI dependent: click
[LG SECURITY: denied]
If you get "security error: denied" after adb reboot-bootloader, you have to install fastboot drivers when your phone has rebooted and the LG logo is showing.
you should see a device "fastboot" with a yellow triangle in windows' hardware manager, this triangle needs a fix.
How-To for fastboot drivers is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40033213&postcount=32
fastboot drivers are attached to this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38953792&postcount=17
BEWARE: MANY PEOPLE DO IT WRONG!
-> You have to install the drivers with the option "search on my computer for drivers", if you dont do this, the old (not working) drivers will be installed over and over again!

yes its pure stock. you need to unlock bootloader .. and when return you need to relock it.
here are the commands for locking and relocking, and placing twrp temporary root it and then you are all set.
i use this method
go to where it says
Bootloader OEM Unlock + Root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
I was able to Lock the bootloader.
1. I connected the phone to my PC
2. Powered on the Phone (it took a few tried of pulling the battery and powering on)
3. Check the box for OEM Unlock in Dev. Option
4. Use Minimal ADB and Fastboot and type in
Quote:
adb devicecs
- you should see the phone listed as one of the devices in the command line window
Quote:
adb reboot bootloader
- phone should reboot and you shouold see 3 lines of text on top
Quote:
fastboot oem lock
- nothing will happen on the phone, but on in the commandline it should say that it is done
Quote:
fastboot reboot
Phone reboots and the boot screen does not show the unlocked bootloader message anymore
Going to try right now...actually better wait til after work tommorrow. Need it for alarm and tv time.. Just in case something happens.

It wants me to downgrade and stuff. Is it possible to do it without downgrading? Also seems as alot of other posts say once your 20q you do not revert back to anything lower than 20o.. thats my concern.
Managed to get it unlocked.. Using that post.. Did not do the root part... So now.. Whats the next step? Install Recovery im sure. Then ROM... The plot thickens.

use this recovery
https://dl.twrp.me/h811/
and rename it to twrp.img so the command should be renamed to twrp.img
have it on sd card. and hwen it boot you to twrp do install, then semlect botom right IMAGE and find the location the twrp is and select it and flash it , it will ask in a window select revocery .. and you are done with twrp installed permanent.

Purchased Used P20 Pro with unlocked bootloader

Hi all,
I've purchased a used P20 Pro from a friend which has an unlocked bootloader and has been previously rooted. I normally keep my phones stock so I want to lock relock the bootloader (I have the code) but despite trying to follow various guides I have been unsuccessful.
Would anyone be able to guide me through the process of relocking the bootloader please?
The main reason I like to keep stock is manufacture updates etc and I don't have the knowledge to maintain a rooted phone.

I don't believe that an unlocked bootloader will prevent you from getting updates. As far as I know the only difference is the warning you get when you boot that "you can't trust the phone."
IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Don't know if there is another way but of you have fastboot and adb you can do it:
1. Make sure developer options are enabled
2. Connect your phone to the computer using USB cable.
3. Open a command window and type 'adb boot bootloader'
4. Once the device has booted into the bootloader mode type 'fastboot oem lock'
This WILL ERASE all your user data and you will have to configure everything from scratch. You will need the unlock code if you ever want to unlock it again so make sure you don't loose it.

[GUIDE] How to unlock bootloader of P7 L10 in 2018 (Without Huawei unlock or paying)

I have attached my unlocking software, if you are still on android kitkat you can immediately unlock and if youre on android 5.0 or 5.1.1 the software will help you downgrade, once you have unlocked the bootloader you can upgrade back to the new software.
Thanks, working trough it on *nix atm, i tried the method described to unlock the bootloader officially, or so i thought, the method has been removed from the Huawei web site. Registering an account was required to obtain the unlock code but this resulted in me having to editing the page to add my country number as the country was not listed to get the sms unlock code.... At the moment i am preparing to hack the device but have not currently found the file for the B856 firmware it's running. I do not want to for example downgrade the baseband, the baseband will need to be hacked a little bit in order to get Android 7.x, i believe is the case.
Rooted my system and backed up all the partitions. Everything but userdata that is,

This software is for the p7-l10 so im not sure if it will work for l12 but it may work, just download it, connect your phone via a usb cable, run the bat file and then choose the option you want from the listed options (unlocking bootloader)
As I can root the huawei p7-l12 the apps to perform this procedure are automatically blocked, I mention it because in the executable root appears necessary.
Hi, I can confirm that this method works for the huawei p7-l12.

Hey, I've tried to get my code but it doesn't work. I have already downgraded and when I open the Get_bootloader_code file and choose the choice 4, it says press enter to continue, I press enter and nothing happens. BUT if I disconnect the device it says step 2 where you have to type your code and press enter. Thing is, I got no code! Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong and thanks in advance!

For this to work you have to be rooted! Make sure you are rooted, and if you are, open up cmd and write adb devices while the device is connected with a usb cable to your pc and give me the output

So I am stuck with this at the moment. To unlock the bootloader, I need to have the phone rooted. And to be able to unroot, I need to have an unlocked bootloader.
I already tried to downgrade back from 5.1.1 to a lower version, but I was not succesfull.
How can I get an unlocked, rooted P7?
That is nice, thanks.
Howeever I need to get back to 5.1.1, while keeping it unlocked/TWRPed, will OTA work, or i need to do incremental flash through TWRP? As i understand doing it by UPDATE.APP would lock the bootloader again?
EDIT: never fk mind.
You know what... DC Unlock really gives you the code for 4€, and it takes 60 seconds.
So after 5 hours of downloading and flashing roms, now I suddenly have TWRP and Magisk after 5 minutes and easy instructions. Couldn't recommend more.

Is there any way to unlock the Bootloader?

Hi everybody,
So I wanted to root the phone for my dad because of the low storage issue solution and saw that Huawei doesn't really support this for a time now. I saw some links and guides about DC unlocker but it looks shady. Can you guys enlight me that is it still possible or not to unlock this phone's bootloader as of today?
The model is: CHE-L11
Thanks for the help.
i tried temporary root my honor 4x (che2-l11) using kingroot just to obtain unlock code inside system file. there's unlock code inside the system file called nvme. So this is what i did :
1) after root, search Inside the folder /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/ look for a file called nvme
2)extract the nvme file and name it to nvme.txt so that u can read it with any text reader and find a keyword called WVLOCK and next to it is your unlock code
3) save the unlock code then i reflash stock firmware just to get rid of kingroot app(u no longer need root access after this)
4) boot into fastboot using cmd and type fastboot oem unlock [your unlock code]
5) i have successfully unlock my bootloader
after that i can freely flash twrp/root/install custom rom and do whatever i wanted.
since theres no option left (huawei stopped giving unlock code from their website) this is how i obtain unlock code.
if any of you guys knows other method on how to temporary root honor 4x let me know.
So I recently tried a method to unlock the bootloader with DCUnlocker which worked fine and installed twrp also rooted the phone. Sadly it's not free it was 4 euro to get the code but it was worked 100%.
Thanks! Taswim.Your method work.
I have Honor 4x (CHE2-L12). After unlock I can flash twrp-3.0.2-0-cherry + SuperSU-v2.82
