Snowflake is now climbing multiple perches and is able to turn herself around (most of the time). She'll be back to approving posts full time soon.

Snowflake is experiencing some throwing up. Gram stain (test by a vet) had revealed nothing yet. I'll report back when I know more. It could just be hormone induced regurgitation...but I never take chances with stuff like that.
Moon-doggie is fine as always.
All the other birds are fine. They are all chirpy....

I'm pretty good. Borden the moo cat is a$$hole as ever. And not sure, guess archer took my post about skinny's pic to mean we post cussing all the time and the thread is full of. afik, he's gonna have to go back pretty dang far to find anything.

Someone essentially admitted while a mod was present that the thread was full of cussing.
So Archer (said mod) closed it.

Something's wrong with Off Topic.
Be it double standards, unfair bans, post deletions... whatever...
All members who feel they have something constructive to contribute are welcome.
Let's try and solve these issues once and for all.
This thread started with it's main focus on two incidents that took place yesterday.
As I have repeatedly stated, those incidents are just a symptom of the disease.
Perhaps Off Topic is just a tumor on the face of XDA that needs to be excised.
Perhaps it's a place for people to cool down and fraternize.
But the members posting in OT have felt that something's been going wrong for the post few months.
Maybe that wrongness is an erroneous perception on our part, or maybe there actually is something wrong. We've all been trying to discuss our feelings about that on this thread.
Trying to wash all the dirty laundry once and for all, to resolve all the issues people have had here so that we can go back to our meme-posting ways in peace.
Please feel free to comment on us users too. Like the title says... this is a discussion, and I'd love to hear your side of the story too.
Please discuss.

Today's incident isn't the only time users have had issue with this moderator, and the only reason I abandoned the PM I was writing and made this thread was because I felt other members should take part i this discussion as well.

I believe because mods (I'm obviously generalizing here, there are many that don't) think of themselves as a separate group from the rest of "us" and because of their "kinship" they show leniency towards each other.

Banning for use of the word ***** is just stupid anyhow. If you want to say it's a swear word, add it to the filter. Otherwise, if it isn't being used in an abusive or insulting way, let it be.

That's a pretty half-assed avoidance of the subject, plus, a moderator response to a report should be more mature, and at least attempt to use proper grammar. This looks like a 12 year old wrote it, I would expect a higher level of maturity from a mod.

A certain Smod (we all know who it was) made jRi0T68 change his sig because it had asshole in it, a word which isn't censored even today.

Unless something went on behind the scenes, I'm pretty sure cfb mentioned it (actually as an example of the double standards), and Jeremy changed it before any mod took action.
