Try upgrading using kies to the latest firmware this should remove any user data and will give you a better ROM aswell

Will i get my problem solved by this?

Probably, even if not its a lot easier to fix a problem on gb (as that's what most people are using)
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
okay i am flashing to gb today and then want to go ahead to ICS
Okay do you want a pure Google ics (no add ons like Samsung touchwiz and stuff) or a Samsung themed rom?

I dont have my demand except for stability and better battery life with no bugs

Do you mean can't? And when you say doesn't work what exactly doesn't work? No sound at all or distorted sound? If there's some noise try pulling it out slowly to see if there's a point where it works, and try a different pair of headphones.

If you need some pure ICS then I would recommend team-nyx (ICSSGS)

I had this problem with my iPod it turned out I had some crap stuck at the bottom of the Jack I just carefully stuck a sewing needle in there and cleaned it out I think its because mic head phones have a longer input Jack

How long have you had the phone? Sounds like there's a connection problem, if it still has Warranty you could flash stock rom and send it back although you could try putting a cotton bud in carefully or give it a blow if you have no warranty you could buy a new Jack online there not expensive and not hard to fit just look on YouTube (remember never force things unless instructed to)

Haven't seen any more about this. Does anybody have NC working with cell-type Bluetooth headset with Mic? Or is this topic dead?

I don't think any Bluetooth mics work. No mics of any kind work. Audio should work though.
I have to hold my nook about 3 inches from my ear if I want to pair with bt. Not very much range.

No, the mic does not work

Has Bluetooth range improved with any of the current ROMs? I'd like to be able to send a signal about six feet to a bluetooth audio receiver. Possible?

Not possible. It's not a software restriction, it's hardware.

Hello,
Over the past few days, my phone has ben playing up. When making a call, using the headphones would not work. After disabling Noise suppression the headphones worked. And now it dosen't.
I've had a look at the headphone jack and it looks broken.

As stated above, they all look like that. I am sure it is your headphones, loose cable internally causing intermittence. In addition are you using the stock headphones or another?
I am using the apple headphones. I have also tried the stock ones from sony.

Charging your battery might help .
GIve us more details if you want help, what ROM are you using including version, locked/unlocked, root/no root?
Also I gather that the exact same problem exists with the apple or sony buds?
Have you tried another pair of earphones

... To the Gear. But the gear doesn't ring quite often. At least for me. It doesn't show all the notifications..
Ok. I got it. But my question was if the sound of conversation will go to the hands free or not....
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
In my car it seams to go to both. When someone is calling me both the handfree in car and Gear are ringing. I have not tried to answer from the watch, but I assume I can talk to whatever device I answer on.
