[Q]Headphones Sound problem

Guys PLEASE HELP ME!
I went from Pure Vanilla v5 to Umbrella Corporation V2 on XXLQB(4.1.2). All the music players now acted crazy, some of them didn t detect my headphones, some of them played the songs but in a very bad quality(i couldn t hear the voices, half of the instruments).
I tried to fix it, but i couldn t. I did hard reset, factory reset, I went back to stock unrooted. I was so desperate that i even went back to GB! But it all was the same. I changed the basebands. Nothing. The other sounds work fine. Headphones are my major problem and yes, my headphones work very well and i used them on my phone for a long time...

Have you tries testing your headphones with any other device? Maybe the problem is with your headphones. Try using any other headphone and see if it makes a difference.

Yes I tried. Headphones are working correctly.

And did you try some other headphones? If you did all that, that seems not to be software problem.

[Solved]A half-black screen in some apps? ( Instagram Camera, YouTube.. )

Whenever I use Instagram, half of the camera is black, same thing happens with YouTube & MX Player when playing videos in landscape.
I tried to take a screenshot but whenever I did the blacked out part didnt show and everything looked perfectly normal.
The only thing that helps is when I factory reset / reflash the rom, but I honestly don't wan't to do that every day. Uninstalling apps also doesn't help.

Do you mean in MX Player? Or in general? and if so where can I find this option?

In Settings/Developer options.
Of phone, not MX player.

The box was actually unticked and ticking it solved it

Very weird battery readings

Hello everyone.
So, I upgraded to KitKat (duh!) Loving all the new features.
But... After having used j-team aosp for a while my phone wouldn't give me proper battery readings:
Phone would say that the battery is charging even though it's not.
Phone would say that battery is at 100% even though it's not and it would later on (randomly) switch to some other value closer to the real value and decrease very quickly.
Phone does not recognise it's charging and instead displays the same value all the time.
Now, I can make it work OK if I reboot the phone, but it's really a bit of a hassle.
This same issue is present even after I switched to TC CM11 so I'm not sure it's rom-related (did all the wipes of course!!) but at the same time my boyfriend had the same issue when he installed cm11 on stock jb, so I don't think it's phone related.
I tried a couple of battery calibration apps with no avail.
Any suggestions...?

Do couple full charge and discharge and see what happen. It is like that when you change ROM, my fist charge on new CM11 gave me half day of use, but 2-3 charge was fine.

Well, the thing is, I've been using cm11 for more than a month now. I'm sure the battery has had enough time to settle!

See if the battery is swollen.

Is same form me. Battery tell is charging always, when it arrive at 15% tell low battery. I see this on all KitKat rom I install

Hey try liquidsmmoth 3.0 kitakat. The problem solved for me. Now if I unplug the charger battey says %.

Check that VOTG isn't enabled under Galaxy S Advance settings

Latest update messed up my fingerprint...

Hi guys...
After official OTA update N920CXXU3BPJ5, I can't unlock my phone with a fingerprint, it always asks me to draw a pattern....
I did a full factory reset, as I thought that would solve the problem, but the problem is still there....
Furthermore, my trusted device unlock (Gear S), doesn't keep phone unlocked after the update....
Does anybody have a solution for this kind of bug?
My phone is not rooted, and I plan to keep it that way if I can..

I had the same problem after
updating, not all the time only when phone go in deep sleep.
But uninstalling easy home seems to change everything at least for now for me. I'll get back if the issue re occur .

go to settings - > locked screen & protection - > fingerprint, enter pin code and everything will be allright

No, it doesn't work that way either....every time when I want to unlock with my fingerprint, it asks me to enter pin, or draw a pattern (depending on what have I set for security)

that same thing happened to me yesterday when I updated phone, so I went in menu as I said, entered pin code and now fingerprint is working again

Yes, I did....
I just realised that "Screen off" apps are causing that bug..
When I lock screen with power button, fingerprint unlock works as a charm...
But the moment when I lock screen with Screen off app (tried more then one app), fingerprint unlock stops working...

I do not use any kind of screen off app, and therefore I cannot help.
instead, I will give you an idea: I am using nova launcher and within there is a gesture: double-tap to turn screen off, so there is no need to use separate app to turn off your screen and double tapping work excellent and is easy to use

Well this seems to be a problem with the screen off app, not Samsung.

I contacted couple of mayor screen off apps developers on Google Play Store, we just need to wait and see if they are going to find a workaround for this problem...

This is what I get as answer, I believe it will be similar with every developer....

The app does not work with fingerprint sensor and causes the problem that you explained. This is because of the restrictions in Android operating system due to security reasons. Hence there is currently no way to make it work with fingerprint sensor or smart lock. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

How to make apps support S Pen?

Some apps can't support S Pen. Is there any solution by myself? Just like install something.

S pen is very specific piece of hardware, as far as I know there is no such app that will "integrate " S pen into another app or game
