Xperia V ICS retail pics - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hi there!
I bought my Xperia V yesterday, and it was still on ICS.
On the album app it came with some very nice pics of random stuff like flowers, landscapes, tomatoes..
But, after update it to JB they have gone...
Does someone have these pics?
If yes, could you gently upload it or tell me where to find it? :fingers-crossed:
Thanks a lot!

this is a bit of an overkill solution but
Download a ftf from the all in one thread, extract the system.sin, dump it as system.ext4 using flashtool, then use an ext2explorer to find those pics in the system and copy them to your phone

I had no luck...
I downloaded the two ICS ftf's available here on the forum for the Xperia V and none of them had the pictures. :crying:
I searched on every folder.
Does anyone know if one of the FTF's there for other models (Xperia T, TX or TL), has it?
Thanks a lot!

No one?

Check in the following folder

Hi Greg!
Thanks for the reply!
Yes. I saw that folder with the pics, but they're not the ones i'm talking about.
The ones i'm talking were on Sony's Album app, and were like demo images.
For example: A pic of some trays of tomatoes or strawberrys (i don't remember exactly) on a market. Some landscapes and flowers...
All on HD.
Did your Xperia had it when it was on ICS?

I'm watching some reviews of the Xperia V on youtube, and when they open the Album app, they're there!

hallo,
i posted the same problem, but mine was that i accidental deleted it. Do you use Factory Reset after the Update? that was my mistake, i activated a button (delete internal storage) to much :crying:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2151205
the pictures are not in the ftf or other ROM's. i tried many things and extracted different ROM's. i also contacted Sony Helpdesk and they prevert me to make a Factory Reset by PC Companion ... but, that "only" restore the System.
Sony will not provide the content. the only chance is, that a other Xperia V Owner will provide the Folders.
The other problem with a blank internal Storage is, that some functions (e.g. screenshots) bring errors without the default folders on the right place
if you get the content, please send me a message.

pm me with the link and I will stick it inthe all in one thread
still no update for me
Folks, do remember that updates are released by regions and provider.
Just because one TX gets an update, does not mean all TX's will get it at the same time. It has to be released to regions and operators first. If you have a branded phone, you will still have wait (Maybe upto a month) as your carrier puts their bloatware on it. This is obviously a Sony release...just wait, non branded phones will filter through over the next few days, branded phones over the next few weeks
If anyone does not want to wait, just download the ftf and lfash it in flashtool (Once it has been uploaded)
Its the new firmware, registered same time as latest JB firmware for Xperia V, march 18/20th.
So what is new-, changes or cool stuff?
Please report ASAP!

Xperia T: http://ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=21834
Finally with 4 more days to spare, I never thought sony would meet the deadline.

I just got an Xperia Z, and I don't know the pattern

Alright, I just purchased an Xperia Z, second hand, but i don't know the pattern. I have tried various times to hard reset it, using dozens of tutorials online and it wouldn't work. Another problem is that my computer is unable to find drivers for it, so I could not even reset it using Sony PC companion. Tips please?

My brother purchased it from France, and brought it to me. I live in Algeria. I have no contact with the original owner.
Did you install the drivers that are supplied with Flashtool?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
Im in no way an expert on this subject but have you tried these drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830 ?
Also install fastboot, flashtool etc etc
Then when they're installed, get the 4.3 FTF and flash it with flashtool, wiping the entire phone.

If you're stuck at the lockscreen pattern, and your phone is stock Sony and unrooted, then invoking the retail demo bypasses the lockscreen. Press emergency call and type "star-hash-star-hash-S E L L M O R E-hash-star-hash-star" ( *#*#73556673#*#*). This causes the store demo mode to run and bypasses lockscreen. Press volume or any part of the screen to exit, go to settings and disable screen lock....
Dead Cookies leave no trails...
Assuming that you don't have any data you'll require and it's all stock.
Just download and use Sony Update Service and restore the phone. That should install the appropriate drivers too in the computer.
@Cookie Ninja That's a pretty cool method but won't it ask you to enter the pattern when you try to disable pattern unlock?

Hello.I can't write English well so i'm sorry.
My Xperia was official 9.2.A.1.199.
I wanted to get root.
so,I used this page:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654451
but after writing kernel(elf file)on my lt25i,it couldn't be in CWM mode.
and I wrote Doomkernel and official ftf files.
but MY lt25i's dispray is still blurred and whitish
and i found that My xperia is lt25i but PC connected it as lt25.
What should i do to mydevice?
Was it blurred and white-ish from the beginning? Or did it happen later on?

Try to flash an original .ftf file via flashtool and wipe everything.
wew ,its happen with my xperia V 1 year ago .whitish and blurish like this
I try to flash stock firmware, wipe data n bla bla bla , but still same
I got my phone like that because I try to flashing kernel+recovery many times ( three times maybe , I forgot it )
After that ,I sold my V
pal. i think u've made the wrong choice
did u unlock your bootloader
if not, use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699117
I think I have the same issue. It is mentioned in this other thread here at the forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707785
This other user is working on a possible fix. Perhaps we should merge the two threads?
I have exactly the same problem!
Followed various instructions for getting root on 4.3. I do not know where did I made mistakes, but the process was not successful. Rooted ROM gave black screen. Then I flashed the default 4.3 and screen turned white like this.
After that I managed to update to AOKP nightly, wiped everything, but screen stayed the same.
I think the problem happens during fastboot mode (when blue LED is lit). Copying various kernels I can make my screen black or return to white like this, but not normal.

[Q]Display gets darker at load

Hey guys.
So I recently (few days ago) bought my Xperia SP (5302) EU-Global Version. I've updated it to the last 12.1.A.1.207 stock build and I wanted to root I but I noticed something strange that happen 2-3 times and I wanna ask if it's something common for the model or should I return it for a repair before I root the phone.
So basically what's happening is, when the phone is under load in very rear cases (3 times in 7-8 days) the screen will start dimming but not like when you power it off. It will start getting darker, the app icons will get almost black and after it finishes loading the task everything returns it's original color again. It basically shifts it's color tone to some really dark tone, like when you're adding some effect to a picture. Sorry, English is not my native language so I can't explain it better but if you have experienced it you, would'll know what I'm talking about.
So basically this is the question: Is this something common for the Xperia SP and I can safely root the phone, or it's just my phone and I must send it for a repair/replacement.
Thanks in advance!
You could try to reset it with Flashtool. It seems like a hardware issue but the reflash it to rule software out..

Another question.
When I bought my phone it boot up in Chinese or Japanese (not really sure) and then it had alot of apps with Japanese or Chinese characters that I disabled and I'm not really sure if that's the Global version of the software. So if I reinstall the stock ROM and I have to return it for a repair they may notice that the ROM is not the same as the one that was shipped with. Do you guys have the same apps on the Global version?
Here are the apps
