Newbie - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hi guys out there i'm a newbie in this I would like if someone can post xv stock kernel on latest firmware 140 really need it badly...tnx.

In the mean time you can download the full ftf, and if you want to flash the kernel you can flash the ftf in flashtool and exclude everything except kernel
Ps, a better title to this thread would help people know what it is about

Xperia V - Stock Kernel Unsecure+Debuggable 9.0.D.0.484

Hi,
Just got my Xperia V (LT25i) yesterday.
Here is Stock Kernel from firmware 9.0.D.0.484
It has set ro.secure=0 and ro.debuggable=1
Nothing else is touched.
Download Link
http://ul.to/n98e5duw
How to use this ??
Just unlock your bootloader from http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and flash the kernel using
Code:
fastboot flash boot lt25i-unsecure-debuggable.elf
Instructions : -
for windows Users, just install latest flashtool and go to x10_flasher_lib folder, shift+rightclick and open command window here and enter the above code ^^
Linux users will need SDK installed with sdk in path and android-rules set in udev.
Thanks to Bin4ry and Androxyde for the awesome Flashtool that helps converting blob_fs files to sin
Thanks to my kernel kitchen that allows fast editing of ramdisk in elf
I have a LT25i that is International LTE version, with firmware 9.0.D.0.484.
This kernel is not tested on anything else.

Excellent, I will link to the all in one thread for the moment, but do you expect another forum for the V? I think there ahould be with such a differnece in firmware, but while you are here I will make you feel welcome.
Any chance of uploading the ftf? Let me know, I will stick it in the allin one thread as well.

Cheers, what do you reckon the chance of the ftf working on the T?
I can flash it but dont know much about this new firmware, is it close enough to be compatable? Saves me googling whilst I am cooking tea for my wife and 3 kids...
Since it is stock kernel, can I flash it with flashmode instead of fastboot on my locked bootloader?

You can use either flashtool or fastboot to flash kernels, flashtool uses fastboot
However, alhough these are stock based kernels, they are custom kernels and therefore not signed by Sony, therefore only unlocked botloaders will be able to flash them

IC, good explanation! :good:
1) If I want to save the stock kernel.sin from my ftf, do I just extract it with winrar?
2) What is .elf?
3) If I flash a stock kernel on unlocked bootloader, will it be problems?
Ps. I am coming from ARC and get my phone tomorrow:laugh:

1: yep. also to flash a sin kernel you need the loader.sin with it
2: .elf is the equivalent of boot.img on ARC it is packed in a different method but the way to use it is same
3: yes. no problem at all

Where do I put the loader.sin and kernel.sin?
How do I flash it? (locked bootloader)

You cant flash it. You are on a locked bootloader.
But it is the exact same kernel you have except its rooted. You will probably be able to root using bin4ry's method, then you wont need a rooted custom kernel.
I know now, just strip down a ftf file, keep kernel and loader.sin and use it later with flashtool when new firmware comes that cant be rooted with bin4ry.
This should work on locked bootloader.

If you want the stock kennel then you can download the stock kernel from the all in one thread. I have posted the 303 and 195 stock kernels there
Sent from my LT30p xda premium app.
How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?

[FTF] Xperia V (LT25i) 9.0.D.0.484-INTL-GENERIC

This is the Xperia V (LT25i) INTERNATION LTE Stock Firmware in FTF format.
This does not need a unlocked bootloader or any work on our part. Anyone can flash it.
All you need to do is, use the flashtool by Androxyde & Bin4ry ,
push the big lightning button (that stands for flash) and locate the FTF file on PC
and then connect the phone to PC in flashmode.
A stock FTF file is essential to "make your phone just the way it was when it was released" and also to repair from a soft-brick.
This FTF does not contain bootloader S1boot.bin so it will NOT relock your bootloader if you already have unlocked bootloader

Moved from Development as is just another stock file and not development. All other stock files for T, TL and TX are here so no reason for the V to be any different.
Thanks

Probably Yes, but why do you want to flash a firmware with less functions than AX?
(V is called AX in the japanese market including infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV).

Odd . same chipset, I think if you only keep the base band it'll work .. excluding the kernel is probably what caused the boot loop. thoughts ?

Hi and thanks for the FTF but could you fix the new 9.0.1.D.0.10 also?
Could someone make deodexed version of this ROM or version 9.0.1.D.0.10?
Which one is the newest for xperia v? 9.0.1.D.0.10 or 9.0.D.0.484 ?

If that doesnt work then there is no way to do it currently.
This has been discussed before on this forum and it was noted that allthough it has been done for the xperia S there is no way to do it for our phones.
Why do folk still continue to ask this, previous workarounds are not working for this, when you request an unlock code you are agreeing to sacrifice some drm features for full control of your device.
It was your choice, live with it or work on it yourself.

[Q] Rooted AT&T TL with LBL. What ROMS?

I have read these forums til I've got a head ache! Can someone recommend a couple ROM that are flashable with a Locked Bootloader, and still keep LTE? I did the unbranded generic and I liked it except it didn't give me the choice to exclude the baseband in FlashTool so I lost LTE, So now I'm back to OEM AT&T. I'm not really a newbie at this, I've done a couple HTC's and a Motorola, but this locked bootloader [email protected]#T has me frustrated.
Any advice or links would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

There's always an option to exclude the base band in flashtool....
I have latest Xperia TL with latest unbranded .140 Xperia T firmware with some custom locked roms
The only button not greyed out on Flashtool is the flash button and when I choose the firmware file all the sections/panes to the right are greyed out, why I'm stumped.

1 Install Flashtool.
2 Find a .140 FTF file for the Xperia T ( I suggest the EU version or UK ) and make sure its jelly bean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918397
3 Flash it and it will say Exclude Baseband. This is a must and is always there even if you think its not
4 Flash and Play
When I downloaded the newest flashtool for my work computer, I didn't see any option to exclude baseband either. I had to install a slightly older version of flashtool to get where you can pick and choose what parts of the ftf you want to flash. Hope this helps!

Suggesting any particular ROM is against XDA Rules. It is disrespectful for the developers. It's better you head over to the development section and try few by yourself.
As for the flashtool version, make sure you are on the latest version for our phone. There is a beta version out for the Z, maybe that is your problem
