Its the dev host server which is down, it will be fixed soon i hope. Edit the build.prop file with root exopler for example or with any other file manager that can give you access to system.
Edit: download from the attachment in first post

Because this is the only device that ever was made that is so perfect it needs no Rom to be perfect. and lg also made specially so that you have something to complain about because otherwise life wouldn't be perfect.

There is a lot of development for Jelly Bean going on for our Aces. But sometimes it seems like ICS is getting neglected. Especially AOKP projects. Is there a currently active AOKP ICS for the SGS Ace S5830?
I found this one here on XDA but it appears to be abandoned.

I don't particularly like the Jellaxy ROMs on paper (I can't say that I have tested them though), plus they are based on Jelly Bean. I don't think that my little Ace should run Jelly Bean as it has such limited storage space and RAM.
If you can convince me that Jelly Bean on the Ace is worth it then brilliant

Will do my friend. I once thought that jellybean wasn't for my ace as well. And the cool thing is I'm not using any tweaks. Let me find the link to the rom I'm using and ill post it. Would you care to try it?

Sure, a list of what's working and what's not would be useful, as well as available internal memory, RAM usage, battery life and screenshots

I can provide screenshots of what amount of ram I'm able to get out of the rom. The link ill post will have whats working and what's not. Plus its usually updated with the latest sources. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958867
There's the link. I recommend you try it for at least 3 or 4 days to allow it to settle. I'm getting over 100 mbs of free ram on idle after using all day with just the apps I use. After reboot I have around 135 mbs of free ram.

Interesting ROMs. The AOKP is based on JB? How does the dev want us to apply gapps without flashing them?
Any major issues with this ROM?
Yes its jellybean based. The gapps are on the first page of of the thread. Make sure to get the one for jellybean. You'll flash them like you flash the rom. Right after you flash the rom.

5.0.2.6 I believe. Something like that. Too lazy to check ATM. Earlier in this thread you said you were running a Jellaxy ROM. This isn't Jellaxy. What's up with that? And what's the difference between a slim ROM and a regular ROM?
Its slim jellaxy basically. Its pretty barebones. It gives you more space for user apps. Its based on jellaxy sources.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
What's a boot splash? What is the effect of a reduced file system size? What's with the SU?
I don't think the Slim ROM is the best choice for me. I'm looking for an ICS AOKP.
