Hi all,
I'm getting stuck in fastboot after trying to flash a logo to replace the bootloader warning image (stupidly flashed a logo.bin instead of a a bmp).
I think if I flash a signed boot image I should be ok?
Thanks for the help...

I've tried to flash this image with fastboot and with recovery, but it does not works, is there any other way to flash it ?
Hey there,
as it looks like there is now way of going back to ICS without unlocking the bootloader I thought about the following:
Is it possible to unlock the loader, flash ICS with the homemade fastboots, then flash the original ICS fastboot (with rslite) and relock the loader?
The last time I tried to relock it the phone was always complaining that I should start with "fastboot oem begin lock". Was this because I had no original fastboot flashed on the device? Am I right that the fastboots for rslite are the original signed ones?
Thanks in advance!

What steps did you take that led you to this point? Are you stock recovery at minute or are you custom recovery? Is your phone detected by fastboot (type fastboot devices)
Also I assume to tried HTC.com/dev to unlock using a different unlock token?

just for future reference, he needs to flash the stock firmware, same one he already has, my suspicions say he has re-locked his bootloader with a custom recovery on there, thats why he cant unlock his bootloader, it requires stock recovery, the only way to get stock recovery on an s-on and re-locked device is to flash stock firmware. :good:

thanks for the reply’s, i have now tried to use a new unlock token but i get the same problem as before, before i relocked the boot loader i flashed what i think was the stock recovery but now i can’t get in to recovery i can use fastboot and it does show up under fastboot devices and when i try to put the unlock token on i get the screen to confirm but when i confirm it boot into recovery and just stays there till the battery drains on i reboot it any more idea’s or advice ?
I was flashing system partition via dd .. Yeah stupid I know.. Some how boot loader locked itself previously.. My system is incomplete.. Won't boot.. Stock recovery and locked boot loader.. If I try to unlock boot loader via fastboot I get error about Dev options which I can not get to... Please help!

Sounds like RMA to me.
i dont get how bootloaders magically lock themselves, unless a script was run that issued the relock command..
one of the ota updates locked boot loader I believe, as I always leave my bootloaders unlocked for rescue, always testing different rooms, etc.. as well as it locking my bootloader it also required you to boot phone and go to developer settings and enable oem unlock there before you can fastboot oem unlock...
or maybe some other chaos locked my bootloader, idk..
fortunately I was under warranty, and phone was wiped good enough for them to not see phone was rooted or just didn't care and Motorola sent me a new phone...
Hello,
Im trying to relock my bootloader again, did i just have to use the "fastboot oem lock" command? Because i read it somewhere that i have to flash stock rom before locking the bootloader, if yes can someone give me the link for stock rom and how to flash it, FYI when unlocking im only using "fastboot oem unlock' command, not doing "fastboot unlock critical blablabla".
Any help would be appreciated, thank you
as far as i know, you need to flash stock bootloader of your current android build then uninstall magisk (if you have it) and just use fastboot oem unlock and you're done (note! backup all your data cause it will make a full wipe)

Then you don't need to flash anything at all. Just run fastboot oem lock command.

Exactly, you don't need to flash anything. Just put phone into fastboot and run fastboot oem lock

I never relock bootloader .. what I know is you must have fully stock ROM installed then only advisable to lock bootloader. Never do on rooted stock & custom ROM.
Maybe someone else can advise you better.

Did you lose data after relocking? I mean lock bootloader causes a data wipe like unlocking?

"Fastboot oem lock" seems to be depreciated for Mi A2, better use "fastboot flashing lock" instead of "OEM unlock" (though probably these are still equivalent).
And yes, full unlock is achieved when after general unlock you are unlocking critical (once more approve on phone, once more user data erased).
For your information. I've just bricked my Redmi 10S with stock ROM with the command ""Fastboot oem lock" :-(
