Has anyone with more skills than me tried any existed methods to Root the ATRIX HD or any prospects for getting it done??
Haven't tried but I'm sure it will get rooted later even when the locked bootloader.

From what I've been reading in the dev section here for the AHD, a port of the Razor HD recovery "supposedly" will work with our AHD with only a few lines changed in it.
Just found out the RZR HD got their recovery here:

Porting over a recovery is a bit above my pay grade so I thought I'd post it in case someone else would know how to do so.

For the dev version. We have to wait on safestrap for them. In other words a recovery for a non-dev devicw

a port for the recovery would be awesome. i have a dev device so i can definitely test it out

Well this is the one thing that would keep me from selling my phone, and buying the new Nexus 4.
All that's lacking from this phone is a working custom recovery!

We have known it was coming he has just been getting it as stable as possible. Im excited for your rom until i can figure out how to make a rom. We need as any people creating good stable roms as we can get

Hashcode just released a beta for RAZR HD that should work with the ahd. So once the kinks are worked out we may get a custom recovery...

Im tryng to get it to let me go into recovery
Yes no menu keys on atrix HD, just soft keys. On Twitter with dev trying to figure it out.

Looks like Atrix HD has a different touch controller than RAZR-HD. I need a "ls -l /system/usr/idc" ran for me on the Atrix HD stock ROM.
Post your screenshots here and what you did to get your score.(i.e stock rooted ICS with v6 supercharger)

We won't get GPS working till we get a 4.2.2 update. ( I think )

Wait - what's this about no GPS? Is this just for the Atrix HD cause Razr HD both models work fine.
BTW this is 4.2.2-based.
Is your bootloader unlocked?
GPS no go here either other wise so far so good

Yes, bootloader is unlocked. Everything but GPS is working in this ROM. Nice work. Thank you.

Hmmm OK, I'll check the GPS configuration... maybe I missed something..
Any ROM based on 4.2.2 the GPS will not work on the AHD. Or at least that's history....
I don't think its anything you did. I think the only fix is the AHD getting an update. . .
Pacman ROM was built from source, GPS was a no go.

So far it runs good wifi works for me so far and yes gps is the only issue but some people here say gps work only if u flash back to ics maybe we can use ics to fix gps but idk i tried flashing back to ics with fastboot then flashed cm10.1 and it didn't work.
