That's what Im saying there isnt any such option I go to Start>Settings>Home then theres only an option to untick HTC home or tick it the options is greyed out...
If I untick HTC Home it removes everything including the clock but MSN and appointments are still displayed...
what rom are you using?
The factory ROM from T-Mobile UK
depending upon which version of HTC HOme is installed will determine the way to do this. Version 2.1 added a third tab under Settings > Today that allows the add/del of tabs. Otherwise you will have to use HTC Home Customer by pocketemu.com. It allows you to pick and choose which tabs you want to show.
I didn't know there was a 2.1. Thanks for the enlightment
OK, Ive managed to install the latest HTC Home but if I select None in menu then it disaplys all the tabs and if I display only it still comes up with a bih home icon with the same menu...
Is it possible to remove everything and just leave the clock to keep it simple?

ICS CM9 Haptic feedback

Hi Guys
So I tried the CM9 rom, and one thing that really annoys me is the haptic feedback when pressing the soft keys and when typing. Is there a way to reduce it(NOT turn it off) like in CM7 ?
For the soft keys,go to settings/sound and untick "vibrate on touch"
and for keyboard haptive feedback, go to settings/language and input, there you have settings for android keybord, click there and untick "vibrate on keypress". I tryed both,it works... Hope i helped
I Didnt want to turn it off .... just reduce as you can in CM7
I think that this option is still without adding
Try looking around in the "Dev Tools" app, it might be there, just like you can reduce the brightness on the touchbuttons!
To lower the vibrations for keyboard-touches you have to go to settings > language & input > Android keyboard settings > advanced settings > keypress vibration duration settings
I know that it says "duration", but a lower duration also lowers the intensity of the vibration.
Haven't found a possibility to lower vibration for the touchkeys... i guess there's an app for that.
I have been looking for the possibility to lower the vibration intensity for the touchkeys too, it's just too high for the moment and i'm even more annoyed using the phone with haptic feedback turned off :S
they have merged the feature in the latest nightlies, you'll find it under the advanced settings

I use a different rom on my Jiayu G4 phone, Android 4.2.1. Which file(s) can I manually edit in the filesystem to change ms duration number? I have root access.

[Q] No Access To Hidden Menu

Hi there O4X Users
Today I tried to access my hidden menu (3845#*880#) to look
for a solution from the baseband wakelock thread,
but I always just get a short loading time with "USSD code running" and
after that it says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."?
I had the same problem back when I used another dialer (MIUI) on stock firmware
and now on CM it seems that the dialer can't access the hidden menu
(at least for me)
Somebody facing the same problem?
It is because in CM is no hidden menu. The hidden menu is a LG app, and not available in CM.

Go to settings, about, tap build number 7-8 times for developer options.
Keyboard sounds should be under settings, sound. If not there then under keyboard input.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
One more question if I may

Go to settings --> lock screen --> slider shortcuts.
Slide the circle to the slot you want to change, and choose "empty" for the shortcut you want to get rid of.
Not sure if anyone else is having a problem but I had trouble removing the camera widget off the lock screen even though it was disabled in the settings on carbonmod. Had to download "Lockscreen policy" app to remove it.

[Q] Screen rotation issue

Here my question, has anybody faced screen rotation problem?
I'm running cyanogenmod 10.2.
My screen often turns itself when I'm using an app, but my auto rotation is off and when i want to turn it back to normal it doesn't work, only solution is to press home button and then he just goes back to normal to the homescreen.
It happens on cyanogenmod 10.2 and omnirom 4.3 (think it does also on other cm versions)
How can I fix this problem?
Thanks.
SOLUTION: Go to Samsung Galaxy Advanced settings (not the usual settings) and uncheck Use Calibration Data, then calibrate.

Something similar happend to me today. I checked use calibration data in Advanced setting. If you did same, uncheck it. In CM10.2 there is separate app for that I think. Called Advanced settings in drawer. In CM10.1 it is in settings.
