Which RIL should I install for this baseband? - LG Optimus 2x

I have the baseband "1035.21_20121109" (v28), however I can't find its matching RIL, in GetRil the closest version was released on Nov 10, 2012, should I install that? I don't know much about basebands, isn't it a problem that I'm using this one with DMX 1.65 ROM? Thanks for the help.

not really....if you find the communication, wifi, BT and all that working....no need to worry....also check your battery consumption....if everything is fine...dont worry
I think normally DM 1.6.5 has four RILs...V30A, V30B, V30B german, V28 (maybe I am wrong...please check) and you can select it from AROMA.
If the BB is not working or having issues with your current BB,....just use smart flash and change your BB. not a big deal my friend.\\

thank you, well I have no problem although call quality is pretty bad.

just,
BACKUP YOUR ROM THROUGH CWM/TWRP
SMARTFLASH BB
RESTORE THE BACKUP....THATS DONE
Hope this helps

no you will stuck on 2.6.32.9 unless you flash with another kernel like neoblaze, Horse Power, swiftextreme

V10d for me only indeed as well.
Does anyone can say to me about the bsods problem in GB v20L? is it still in v20L? that's all i want to know.
I'm flashing V20L in the moment. Can't wait!
Update ok.
I need only some feedback from who has also make a reset after update:can you download something from the market and make other things?'cause i want to know if it goes smooth or there are some problems....but only from who has make a reset.
Thanks
Exactly like Froyo, but it does seem snappier, maybe because I have hardly anything installed. I'll give it a day or two to see what happens.
Yes. U can download..but i cant root'it
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium
You have to do this for rooting device.
Here is some feedback. No google talk video. No internet calling that was available in CM7. Lack of backing up your apps to Google's servers. It just feels snappier, that's about it.

Is the official update available in Romania?
cant believe my bluetooth issue with mercedes car nav (command) has been fixed. After trying each single baseband released since 6 months, after asking mercedes to update the software their side, I cant believe ... when I lost any hope, the update fixed the problem.. there are probably some fixes and patches nobody knows about that have been finally fixed!!!

Just spotted this in the thread, hope it helps you! was about time i had a read of the thread anyway lol!
harishrohaj said:
I think all the devices do not support 38.4 MHz for wifi (which is default in your rom) that is why some are getting wifi connection while some are unable to search. Also my device can not find wifi network.
I checked with system/etc/wifi/tiwlan.ini and STRFRefClock is set to 4 by default. I changed it to 0 (19.2 MHz) and now it can search for networks like a charm.
Of course DHCP works out of the box.

Updating Nova HD

i've got a problem, i dunno how to update NOVA, at least not without flashing a newer version.
Is there another way without having to lose everything, cause its kinda annoying.
I tried update me, but that says there isnt a newer version (i've got 1.0.3 and want 1.1) so that doesnt work. I personally dont know any other way except flashing.
First of all, make a NANDROID BACKUP before doing anything stupid
UpdateMe App doesn't work for all custom Rom...if i'm right, it only works for CM7...
Second, you can update to version 1.1.0 by flashing it over v1.0.3 :good:
Just be sure to Wipe Cache, Dalvik-Cache and Battery Stats.
You DON'T need to Wipe System/Data.
Hope that help.
Helps a lot, thanks.
I'll try it, Jason Bourne saves the day again xD

CM10 test build

Hi all,
I'm a vivow user and thought I'd post a CM10 build for vivo since I didn't see one over here.
It's using my hacked up gb kernel source here: https://github.com/aeroevan/htc-kernel-msm7x30/tree/android-msm-2.6.35-ics-aeroevan so hopefully it boots
I don't have a vivo, so I can't really test so if someone could let me know if it boots I'd appreciate it!
Also, it probably has all of the bugs my CM10 build for vivow has (no FFC or camcorder and probably some other stuff).
Link: http://goo.im/devs/aeroevan/cm10/cm-10-20120930-UNOFFICIAL-vivo.zip

It could be a build.prop issue or something else.
Maybe try ro.telephony.ril.v3=datacall,signalstrength,skipbrokendatacall instead of whatever is there for ro.telephony.ril.v3.
But get some sleep
dude urm we have kernel sources...do u think you can manage to build an AOSP kernel out of it? i'm downloading ur build now
how about hboot? normal or blackrose?

It sounds like there may be a small RIL issue, but I don't think anyone has tried the build.prop edit I posted earlier.
Just tested
Works fine, nice and smooth
Camera works, images arent as nice as sense i think
Panorama mode (is that what it is? Ive never used aosp camera app before) causes screen to flicker
Camcorder mode freezes for a second when you press record, and as far as I know, nothing is actually recorded
Mobile network doesnt work, i have a locked sim and it never prompted me to unlock, even after airplane on and off
wifi works
flashing gapps now to do further testing
edit: will also try build.prop edit
edit2: wifi signal seems to be worse, not sure

Its no port. The Rom itself is built from source, means Vanilla Cm10, no sugar added.

Yeh just flash it in recovery, remember to format all partitions and wipe data and wip cache and dalvik cache. I'm not sure how different to Nik's jb rom it is. I haven't tested this.

Question about ICS 28a

I'm using cm10 atm when I flash 28a I get some bad connection's to the network, when I go to GB or Any other ROM I don't have any connection issues. Wondering if this is cause its a test ROM or if my baseband or rail could use some update. Thanks
