I really like the stock Album widget, is there anyway i can install the widget separately so that i can use it with other launchers ?
I also like the Accuweather (live) and toggle widget (animation one)
I tried these
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103403
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111572
But they don't seem to work, some apks install but I cannot find the widget and most of them failed to install.
My phone is rooted but cannot load into bootloader (common locked bootloader prob caused due to clearing cache)
No. You'd need to work A LOT on the widgets to make them work on launchers that not Sony ones.
They have ported the widgets in the links provided so i hope there's a way to get them working in nova
Xperia Z
You don't understand. Any Sony Stock widget, needs SONY Xperia Launcher to run, either customized or Stock xperia launcher required.
Third party launchers doesn't support Sony widgets except very few.

This is your answer. As gm007 said.
To clarify more, Any Stock SONY launcher will support all relevant SONY widgets. :good:
Any customized SONY launcher like those two links you mentioned in your OP, may or may not support all the widgets.
But Third-party Launchers like Nova, Apex, Go - Sony Widget support is negative.

i can see that you are looking for arc LAUNCHER, not the THEME..
so search for LAUNCHERS....not THEMES..

Looking for a new launcher to run on my x8, im running minicm9 on nAa ics03 kernel. using apex as my launcher at the moment but its terribly laggy, have tried apex, nova, Trebuchet,
best i had so far was nova launcher but i have a copy of apex pro so dont no if worth paying for the pro unlock key for nova.
Any opinions?

Yes.
1. Even though you are looking for an app, questions should still be posted in the q&a section.
2. There is a list of recommended launchers here somewhere, look it up using Search.
3. Holo launcher is quite good, you might wanna try it.

It's Holo Launcher right ?
You made a typo
Apex launcher!

360 launcher is the best launcher for ICS & GB. it is smooth & light.
Maybe its because you set the scrolling cache in settings of the launcher low? Put in to the highest & you should see the difference.

What's my phone status?
Bootloader : Unlocked
Android : 2.3.7
Baseband : ~015
Kernel : Alfs v08a
ROM : GingerDX
Build : v028b
I used Apex and trebuchet launchers: Apex i good but trebuchet is more fluid and need less memory when you come back to the home (it needs less time to redraw all the icons)

In ICS used a mod launcher Xperia S, in my opinion was the best option because after changing the build.prop to always keep the cached launcher was fluent and almost no redraw
From my own experience, and from speaking to other members of XDA and other android forums, I've noticed that 95% of people (approx) aren't totally happy with their home launcher but won't change because it offers the closest to what they feel they need.
Running off this, I thought what launchers would you mix together to create your "perfect" launcher(if you could).
Personally, I'd put together Holo launcher and Go launcher ex together with the addition of a launcher where I could totally change my dock, as Ive seen some great docks on DroidIcon.
I choose these because I like the smoothness and general use of holo but love the array of themes and widgets available specifically for go launcher.
What would you choose and why?

Go launcher with tons of smoothness optimizations.... its way to sluggish for me

After finding out about TSF Shell yesterday and wwatching the youtube videos of it, I'd say a lot of features from there would be a good incorporation aswell. It would take a lot to make all that run nice and smooth without problems though

Where do you find amestris? Is it a tablet app? Not finding it in the play store.

id say something like apex with the ability to change the dock and also resize the icons(more emphasis on risizing icons since theyre so tiny on nova and apex).
I would do something similar to Go Launcher without all the bloat.
Trebuchet!!
I would like to merge trebuchet and nova launcher. Nova launcher without too much of customizability and nova's shadow option rocks with treb!
:good:
This is the best theme I've ever seen..
But this thread should be in general thread...
As the title says.
The reason why im asking is because I use Pure Grid Calendar Widget on my Xperia link S - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.koxx.pure_grid_calendar
Which is also a scrollable widget.
And does it have emoji icons?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think that's possible... and even if it is possible then it will obviously require a lot of modding and editing of God knows how many files.... :silly:
I love and use Nova; because its simply the best! (according to me)
Have you tried launchers like Apex Launcher, Nova Launcher, Holo Launcher, Buzz Launcher, Next Launcher, TSF Shell, Atom Launcher, Go Launcher, ADW Launcher or the Stock 4.2 browser??
(hope I get a thanks for this, because I seriously searched and typed all the popular launchers from Google Play )

Lol you didn't really help ME in particular but thanks for the reasearch you earned it man!
But to get back to the topic: custom launchers are the only way I guess. No one has discoverd this yet. But I think it can be done with a lot of file editing and modding.
I wish you very good luck haha

yeah dude, its embarrassing to ask for "thanks" without really helping
anyways getting back to topic, what is it that you hate in other launchers and like it in the TouchWiz launcher? I mean TouchWiz launcher is laggy sometimes (in transitions, page scrolling, etc.).. it is buggy sometimes (if you have an app in your external sd card, then after rebooting, the icon shifts its position to the end of the very last page).. etc.
On the other hand, custom launchers like Apex or Nova are really customizable; you can literally modify its settings to your preferences...
I've even uninstalled Touchwiz with Titanium Backup, after installed Nova!
