Hey folks,
I have upgraded to JB and got P88020a-218-90 Software version, I have also tried flashing with Euro-open kdz but I always get the same software version. Due to this version, I can't get my bootloader unlocked, several methods have failed.
Now, is there any way to change my Software version to Euro-xxx or to unlock the bootloader on this version. Did some research before writing this post, but didn't find much.
use this threat. Some claim that have successfully unlocked eur-xxx firmware try for your self and post your result
but keep in mind what this says about 2 hours policy

Hi all,
I'm running a Huawei P9 with a build number of L19C900B190. I am not rooted, bootloader locked. Having an insane time trying to find a way to upgrade from Marshmallow to Nougat. I can't find any other C900 firmwares, so is it impossible for me to upgrade? In my desperation I have finally resorted to opening a new thread. Which regions received the C900 firmware? I am based in Singapore.
I understand another method i can go is to unlock my bootloader, root my phone, flash another oem firmware like C636 or whatever and then upgrade to Nougat. However I am trying to find a method that can keep my warranty intact as my device is just a few weeks old. If anyone can point out a firmware i can flash Nougat for my phone type via the dload method, I would be really grateful.
Oops. Sorry mods could you delete this thread, moving to questions and answers part of the forum.
You flashed a wrong update file then you got c900. Which cXXX were you using when you buy your phone? You should find it and flash it. C900 is cross flash code, no region for it.
Okay guys I'm tired. I don't understand why it won't works : I have a brand new Huawei P9, it's a Dual Sim (L19-C185). It's not branded. My current firmware version is EVA-L19-C185B170. I don't want to root or unlock if possible, I just want EMUI 5.0. I've tried to install it (mostly firmware B385, no particular reason) by using the firmware finder, by using HiSuite and by using the "dload" method. None of it worked, it always fail when it "verifies package", or when I use the "dload" method, just after (it tells that the package I've downloaded is not compatible with the version currently installed).
I don't know what to do anymore. Why do I even don't have the OTA ? Is it still deploying ? Do you see what I'm doing wrong ?
For information I've more or less followed this tutorial : http://ministryofsolutions.com/2017...gat-b385-update-emui5-middle-east-africa.html
Note : I didn't use the absolute last version of HiSuite, but almost. Can it come from there ? When I install using Hisuite and Huawei Adapter, Huawei Adaptater warn me that it coudl brick my device since I checked "custom rom" (which make me thinks that it should force the flash), HiSuite tells me that it installed successfully, but my phone just says that the package is incorrect. But it IS the correct package. I did all of this for numerous other brands, but now I don't know what to do anymore.
So, I sent the phone back.
I realized that, even if the firmware was EVA-L19-C185B170, it was actualy a TL00. I think that TL00 is specific to China Mobile (or perhaps other Chinese providers) and that they haven't develloped an official rom for this phone. On my phone, EVA-L19 was somehow flashed, and the bootloader was locked, which means that the vendor successfuly crossflashed a rom that was not intented for this model, without unlocking the phone, or by unlocking and then relocking the phone. If I believe this forum, both methods are currently unknown. However the fact that I had this phone prove that at least one of those two methods is possible. Perhaps more information can be found on the Chinese web. Knowing none of these method, and being unable to update (the low-level software somehow know that my phone is an LT00, and won't update to a firmware which isn't. No LT00 Nougat seems to exists. So I was ****ed) and not willing to unlock the bootloader to try flash without any garantee (I think that hardware are the same, so flashing a L19 Nougat should be fine however), I send back the phone, and bought another, which seller garanteed me it was a L19.
If you run into the same issues, Good luck.
Same Issue with Me
I have been trying to find an upgrade. And my phone is on same firmware as you mentioned. Even I have bought it online from China, and i suppose I am facing the same problem, about it being an original TL00, but tweaked to L19.
I cant send the phone back as i reside in another country!!
Any possible solutions you may suggest?
Can anyone please help with the same..!!
Hi i am new here and need help with updating my Samsung note 9 i still have a baseband N960USQS1ARI5 but will like to update to the latest firmware. i'm using an unlocked AT&T phone. can anyone guide me? I'm not sure if updating the firmware will lock the phone and the process to update, do I just update the firmware in stages as the updates were released till i get to the latest update or can i update straight up to the latest? I am thinking of using Odin, is that a safe way to do this? any help will be appreciated. Lastly, can I change from the AT&T firmware to lets say a none carrier based firmware so as to stop seeing the AT&T logo on boot up? Maybe switch to a firmware that supports global or international? Does anyone have links to an unlocked firmware update i can use, as well? Please help!
I must state that the phone never updates automatically as it always says the software is up to date.

to your last point, at&t phones are notoriously bad at updating
factory unlocked phones will remain forever unlocked and phones unlocked that are bespoke to a specific carrier will also remain unlocked even with Odin flashes providing that the method employed to unlock it was legitimate. Some unlock methods employ root and only trick the phone into thinking its unlocked. Well, once you remove root, and thusly the trick, the unlock is gone. I have ran across rare examples where the person swore up and down that they unlocked their phone with a legit unlock code and that it relocked to a carrier once the sim was inserted and initial programming completed, but i dunno. Sounds weird to me, but every person who said this also said that the phone locked to a carrier other than the one it came from originally. Take that for what its worth, but i still mostly stand by the first couple lines of this section of my diatribe
If you want the at&t crap gone, get the N960U1 firmware and flash it in Odin. You will need the modified version of Odin to flash it so it can ignore the 255 errors the phone throws up from flashing firmware for a carrier (or, in this case, no carrier) on to a phone that it wasnt originally designated (not designed) for
go to sammobile.com/firmwares, get the info for the firmware you want to d/l, get the Frija tool or Samfirm and download the firmware thru one of those as theyre literally 5x faster and flash it

Long ago, I unlocked my bootloader using EDL mode (offline mode) to preserve warranty. Even after unlocking the bootloader, I still received FOTA updates, but the updates just didn't get installed properly and showed an error.
I recently re-locked my bootloader using the same EDL offline method and it was locked successfully, but suddenly I'm not able to receive FOTA updates. It says I'm at the latest version, while I'm on Android 9 1910.64 (latest is A10 2004.60 at this time)
Edit: The ROM variant is WW. I never changed it to CN. Phone was shipped with WW and has remained that way ever since (Indian version btw)
Does this mean ASUS has identified the changed state of my bootloader? Or do I have to make some changes in my phone? I've tried factory resetting, flashing RAW 1910.64 twice, and still no luck. (But I'm not sure if the ROM is flashed on both slots)
I need this warranty because I'm about to send the phone for repair. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Well this only a guess but... Is it a Tencent version that was running CN rom, which then was converted to WW? My guess is that, if it is currently on WW still, you won't get OTA's until its back to its original state ie on a CN rom...
Perhaps!

Oh I totally forgot to include it sorry. This is a proper WW phone, shipped with WW ROM (Indian version). No links with CN version.
Do correct me if I am wrong, but at least in the USA, the carrier has to push out OTA updates to your phone. So if you have a less well known android, such as the ROG 2, you won't get *any* updates as it is inconvenient for the carrier to make them available. Only google's phones get updates direct, and are still subject to carriers delaying release for...reasons.
hi buddy. we are on the same page. after .64, for some reason i also didnt get the android 10 ota. the solution i see is that you download the full firmware from asus website and update manually. once on a10, youll recieve otas.
weird thing thou, i recently tried unlocking via official app, but im getting errors.
Hi, have SM-G975F/DS and using for 1 years Got it from outiside of Turkey. As i live in Turkey, our "HONORABLE" Tech institution will give 120 days to use unregistered IMEI's . So my time has ended, and has to change my IMEI number. But only way to do this is downgrading my phone to april-before firmwares.
Downloaded and tried to flash old firmwares but, device rejected them and gave error :sw rev check fail bootloader device 8 binary 4
So its so important to downgrade my phone u4 or previous firmwares.
Succesfully rooted with Magisk now and My question is : Any chance to downgrade my phone back to Android 9 or u4-u3 binaries?
how did you solve th

so then only root, twrp and a custom rom left with some special kernel what is saving the battery, lets me use the gps and bank apps.
