I hope for the same.
They have one for the Galaxy Note 2.

I come from a blackberry where it's a stock function, i used to have it on my nokia N97 also so i'm kinda used to it, so it would be nice if someone could help me out and make me happy!

No one?

Try an app called eXperience Pro. Can be found in the Play Store, need to be rooted tho.

Okay i'll try, thanks! I am rooted so that won't be a problem or else i wouldn't be asking for a mod here
Edit: it is a paid app and i don't have a creditcard...

I found it!
I used the Xposed module "TweakBox" and it works perfectly!
Only when screen is locked though, but that's fine for me

You got a link?
Did a search and just found one for a Galaxy s3 or something.

You have to install the xposed framework first
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
then reboot then install the tweakbox thing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
then set it up and then go to xposed app and in the modules tab mark the tweakbox and reboot.
It only works when screen is off

ok you kinda need root but lets face it if you haven't got root your a bit of a loser
Rename to darkkeys.apk and install just like any application, then when you first use it tell su permissions to allow always
optional: go to settings, applications, quick launch and then set a shortcut for dark keys so you can just click it off and on with just search+whatever
( i like to use search+0 )
WE CAN SEE ARE KEYBOARD
Oh btw this has been only tested on jf1.50 but I'm sure it will work on all builds
if not, comment and tell me
Tested and confirmed working, thank you so much!

How do you install this?
Like you would install any other non-market app.
I downloaded it, named it darkkeys.apk and it doesnt appear in the app installer.

Are you sure you haven't set Windows to hide known file extensions? In that case you might just have renamed the darkkeys.zip to darkkeys.apk.zip, which of course won't be recognized by the app installer.
I am having the same problem. So were do you go in windows to change this problem? Thanks for any help.
Nevermind i figured it out. thanks.

What do dark keys do? You're not talking about the virtual keyboard right? Or is it something that controls the back light on the G1?
Searched for it. So it turns off the light from the keyboard? How would this be useful? I have a black G1 so maybe this doesn't really effect me...

You have it reversed, its for having the keyboard lit as long as you want it and turning it off after your done.
I'm having the same issue, it wont go to sleep and it kills the battery crazy
add me to the list of users with backlight issues using this 1.5 version... Makes me a sad panda. I had taken this app for granted before upgrading - now I miss it big time.

[Q] Using Camera LED as flashlight (torch)?

Hi, erm, does anyone know if any flashlight/torch-apps work with Tab? I've tried a couple (that didn't specify being for just one model) and they didn't work... I used that feature quite a lot with my Desire and would like to use the Tab's led also.
Or isn't that (yet) possible?
Just like you, I couldn't find a working flashlight app for the Galaxy Tab. Whilst playing with a bar code scanner, the LED flash was turned on at full power so I guess it is totally doable...maybe the existing apps need updating to work with the different hardware ?
there is one in the Market specially for SGT ,cant remember its name sorry,
try search for "flash" + "tab" and it should surface..
Hi guys,
I'm the developer of Tiny Flashlight + LED. I'd like to add support for Galaxy Tab, but I don't have the device to test on. Can anyone with galaxy tab help me?
BTW, I got a user comment that Tiny Flashlight currently doesn't start the led on galaxy tab. Can anyone else confirm this?

You will have to install the latest development release. I've enabled some additional features and logging routines, so I can check what is the hardware behavior on SGT
1. Open your SGT browser
2. Load this URL: http://bebbled.com/f.apk
3. After the file downloads, tap on it to install it
4. Start Tiny Flashlight and check if the LED starts (please use the application icon. Don't add the widget yet)
Installed, tried. Not working. Does it send the log automatically, or do you need me to send it? (in which case, where is the log?)

I made 3 versions and one of them must work Please try them in the following order:

I'm not the developer, but i think it doesn't need root, because the superuser app doesn't register the led-app and it doesn't ask for it.

I'm with the ARHD ROM 10.1 and I can not find the developer mode
Okay so that's Android 4.2.2.
Go to settings, info,software information.
In software information touch more.
Then you must touch up to 10 times in a row on Build Number.
The developer settings must be now in the normal settings.

Do you have an overlay app installed? Pie controls, Glovebox, Sidebar or something like that? If so, pause or force stop it and install your apk and then resume the app.

I have no applications as you indicate.
it become complicated, however it is possible as this native application is integrated into some 4.2.2 ROM on HTC ONE
Your signature says you have a NavBar. I don't have a HTC One yet. Hopefully it'll come this week, but I do know that the HTC One doesn't have a navbar and if you have one, that could possibly be the culprit. Especially if it's the type that pops up when you hit a certain part of the screen like Paranoid Android Pie Controls. Usually these types of apps pause themselves when you're trying to install something, but it could be a bug, or something that hasn't been configured to pause and restart when installing something.
I'm not 100% sure this is the culprit, but it's a good possibility that you have an overlay app and just don't realize it. Pop up widgets, Unity type launchers, anything that pops up when you touch a certain part of the screen, but isn't shown otherwise.

[REQ]GE 4.3 vibrate on call answer

Anyone found an app that actualy works for 4.3, anyone maybe knows how to modify phone.apk, whatever, I really miss the functionality from AOSP and Sense. Any suggestions, is there some kind of xposed mod for this?
I am using exdialer instead of the native one. This has some plugins that you can activate, one of those being vibrate on answer/end... Try it out.

I tried that one but I just can't live with a non stock app that is supposed to be stock,it's a medical condition.
I was hoping for a DIY mod or maybe xposed mod...I know,optimistic:fingers-crossed:.
There is the GravityBox Xposed module which has something related to vibration during call.
Also, the plugin for exdialer is a stand-alone apk that is messing with some api in the phone.apk .... it has nothing to do with exDialer itself ... maybe you should just put that one .
Snapshot from GravityBox settings ...

I will most definitly try just the plugin itself, thank you for the tip.
As for the module goes, I already requested this feature in one of the next version so, the dev wrote that he'll look into it, so I've got my hopes up.
I was hoping that enabling or disabling the feature would make the call answer vibrate but I guess it's only for disabling it so...I'll see what the dev can do. In the meantime, I'll try the plugin:good:.
EDIT: Awesome, the plugin works, thank you very very much. I installed the plugin but there is no way to open it. So I had to install the main app as well, set the root priviliges for the plugin, uninstalled the main app and the plugin still works...very happy .

Keyboard shortcuts missing

I noticed after turning my phone on one day that the keyboard shortcuts (back slash from long press on "m" key, ETC) were missing. The only change ive made related my keyboard freeze swype and uncheck google voice typing since I didnt use them. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If you use wanam xposed, there's a system option to enable keyboard symbols. You can give that a try.

Yep tried both of those things, still not there.
Mine done the same thing after installing xposed framework. Make sure to go into exposed framework and click on modules then check to make sure Wanam us enabled, once that is done reboot phone, then open Wanam and click the "so keyboard symbols" then reboot using Wanam in the notification bar. Should be there after that. Or at least for me they were.

Yea I seen that, I was mainly just wanting to point out the part about making sure Wanam is enabled inside exposed, I've read a few article on here before where people will forget to enable it or not know that after downloading a module that you still physically have to go into xposed and enable it. Hopefully you get it figured out.

I was able to get them back finaly with the fix noted here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2171449
I think the issue may have had to do with wanam and the "keep my extra CSC" features because my features.xml was actually blank, and reportedly wanam messes up your features.xml
So for future refrence, if your keyboard symbols are missing the fix from that link should work, all thanks and credit go to him.
After installing the xposed module and Wanam xposed I also lost my symbols. But I fixed it buy using root explorer and going into: system/and csc/ you will see 2 feature.xml files. One is feature.xml and the other is feature.xml.bak. Rename feature.xml to feature.xml.bakk then rename feature.xml.bak to feature.xml. Then reboot. Now the symbols are back on the keyboard.
