Hi,
Each time I enable mobile data, a dialog pops up reading:
"Allow mobile data? Additional charges may apply......... Cancel / OK"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fmn8rqfdp5isnev/2013-04-17 16.25.11.png)
Is there anyway to disable/bypass this message as it's annoying I have to tick ok each time I want to turn on mobile data.
Thanks in advance,
PS running stock rom
I noticed that problem too and would be interested in a solution for that. But i don't know how to solve that...:/
Get a widget that turns data on. I'm using Power Toggles and I don't get the question, only if I enabled from the top status bar icon.

Thanks - good to know, but I'd rather just stick with using the top status bar.
I wonder if Elixir2 can block it, much like it blocks the 'data off' notification as per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39570962&postcount=13
Wouldn't know what setting to look for in Elixir2 though.
Cheers
I also like to use original Sony widget..any possibility to disable? Also disabled the notification when you turn it off with elixier..but dont Know which File to disable..

This is bugging me as well. I think this can fixed with root. I have no experience in development so I can't tell you for sure, but if one can change the size of navbars, then skipping this message should be accomplished by changing a 1 into a 0 somwhere in the code.
Have looked through the other services in Elixir2 and nothing obvious stands out to turn off this Cancel/OK dialog on activation of data. It's incredibly annoying!
(have successfully disabled the notification after turning it off)
Would love to know which flag it is I need to disable...

You can install eqs mod or a Rom with it built in.
but it's ok to eat fish cause they don't have feelings.....
1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure "disconnected" uses more power than "off". WiFi does that, so logic dictates mobile data does that too. But I could be wrong.
2. Have you tried power toggles? Just stay away from their data and LTE toggles. People have reported that turning off LTE with the power toggles destroys the radio. (Permanently turned off). Just use the other toggles. Or you could use Floating toucher. Check it out. Its hard to explain what it is...

How would it "destroy" the radio
Its not confirmed, and many people have been able to toggle data/LTE with no problems.
The radio would essentially turn off and never turn back on.
I dunno. You can go ahead and try it. Chances are nothing bad will happen. If it was so common, then we would be seeing a lot more of it.
I have this persistent notification which won't go away even after I unchecked the show notification check box. Any ideas how to get rid of the notification?

Don't know the app but it should be a setting within the app and not where you unchecked it in app info. 2 separate purposes...

Nope. No such options exsists in the app. I tried finding it but nope. It also started showing up in my notifications when I upgraded to 4.3, could it be the issue? Or could it be the app itself as it functions as a DSP manager?
Well I use juice and so long as the service is on you can't remove that notification banner so I can only offer that some apps keep it there until closed. I can completely kill the notification like you did and it will disappear but some apps have the options to only stop the notification in the pull down and not the bar. Whereas stopping it via app info kills both/all.

NotificationsOff is a great app for this. After 4.3 Google blocked a loophole apps were using to be persistant without user knowledge. The downside is upon reboot the icon comes back. This app will remove the icon but allow the app to run the in mode it was intended

Still pops up after reboot. That damn icon is starting to get on my nerves...
Try to use AirPush and check if there is the app that getting you the popup
I'm having issues trying to get my text message preview (also battery fast charge notification) to show in the notification bar.
They worked prior to the update, now they just won't show. I get the icons, but no text preview. I've made sure that under:
System Settings > (Apps) Messages > Notifications (on) > Preview message is checked on (i've even toggled it).
I've wiped cache, powered on and off....Still nothing.
I'm I going to have to bite the bullet and factory reset? I'd super really not want to but if I have to, then I have to.
Okay so did T-Mobile remove the feature then?

If you have no clue what I'm talking about, look here at the middle picture above the pop-up notification and the last picture on the right (what I'm trying to accomplish):

http://recomhub.com/blog/android-6-0-marshmallow-how-to-turn-on-and-off-preview-on-galaxy-s6/
In these steps they spell out how to turn it on and off. However I am now missing one KEY feature...The Status Bar check box. I was able to see the previews before and I really liked it because I didn't have to open the messenger app to read the message unless I really wanted to. Now I have to just to see who sent me the message.
Samsung Galaxy S6: How to Enable or Disable Message Preview
1. Turn on the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge
2. Go to the menu of the Galaxy S6 and select on Settings
3. Browse for Applications and select on Messages
4. Select on Notifications
5. Now look for a section called Preview Message
6. You’ll find two boxes, one with “Lock Screen” and the other saying “Status Bar”
7. Uncheck the boxes that you don’t want the Preview Message to show up in anymore
Can anybody else confirm this? Those of you have not updated yet can you please verify is the Status Bar option is there or not?
*edit*
I understand that these instructions are for the S6 but its really the only thing I could find for regarding Marshmallow and Samsung.
Whew! got that one figured out. All good.
Any idea why the full screen mode suddenly stopped working? Is there some hidden setting for that what Bixby changed etc. etc. when using a ton of voice commands :victory:
I have enabled full screen mode in "settings->display->full screen" and all of my programs are allowed to use full screen, but none of them do. And if I disable eg. Chrome and then launch Chrome it asks whether I want to run it in full screen or not. I press "run in full screen" but the navigation bar still persist

do you live near McDonalds?
I get the same if I leave wifi on and leave home. It will keep sending me pop ups about Bright House networks being available and for me to sign in.
Only solution so far is to turn off WiFi when leaving home .

Settings > connections > click wifi (not the toggle button) > top right hit "advanced" > toggle off the network notification.
Screenshot attached.
I believe that's what you're looking for.

This is how I've done away with the wifi available or not signed in notification on other phones and that's what I've tried with this Note 9, but the notifications persist.

Did you try tapping the notification settings from your drop menu, and then uncheck notifications from that android system notification
These look like the best option to get rid of the persistent wifi notifications, but I cannot select OFF.

IDK. Tried several things.
The next time I get it, I'll give your instructions a whirl.
I think I resolved mine with using the toggle under advanced notification and Android sub menu.
