Good news! There have been new software for Xperia V, which in addition to some general improvements should also remedy the problem as some of you have experienced with the screen goes black, and that it is not possible to turn on/off the phone without ta ' battery out. For those of you who have experienced the problem, we regret the wait and hope that now get full enjoyment from your Xperia V. (Translated by Bing)

No, that's the Italian version that needs to be flashed.
Well yes but still it's normal flashing, very similar to sus update. You're not going to loose anything.
Sent from my LT29i using xda app-developers app
this 492 is EXACTLY the same what you get by SEUS update and walkman bug ist still here so if theres new version to come up with fixed walkman it definetly will not be 492 but some higher version...
How do you know it's exactly the same if Sony UK haven't released it yet?
the walkman thing isn't FIXED...so you guys(also me) wait for good time until sony will fix their BUGS...This Jelly Bean is a premature one..sony has now a good marketing team that attracts alot of new customers but SADLY..they make some mistakes(with NO that project butter software, and NOT that " very good" screen) !
So I'm in marketing..and also I learn to say yea yea we have the best product but is not true!

The issue has been found and will be fixed in next software update which is planned to be released during week 14"

Hi all,
Though i'm happy with my z i got a small problem.
The display is flickering constantly, i read in several Forums about this should be an Software issue with Sonys 4.2.2
So i went back to 4.1.2 but i still noticed a flickering on the display, and in any other Rom i tried.
Question is: hardware or software fault?

Wait until the New bugfixes are out it could be a bug within the kernel that Sony have finally found but I'm no expert I've just picked up info on here across multiple devices due to my love for New tech

Alnikkis kernel fixed the flickering for me.
So it should be fixed on new firmware hopefully permanently.

I did this to remove flickering.
1. Reseted the device.
2.Repair Installed the software Via SUS.
Fresh installed the apps after reset and the flickering was gone.
(FYI my device is Stock JB ROM 4.2.2 V .244)

Thanks but i managed to get the flickering away.
It seems like a kernel fault, and should be fixable.
I also contacted sony support and pm'ed mods becoz of this issue, hoping they will finally fix it..

Ahh~! I was really becoming to get annoyed by this and believed it's a software issue rather than hardware faulty, so I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm glad they're going to fix it.

this is hardware issue with the pcb of xperia z and there is no pcb schematics available, so search for the hardware solution, may be it is a small capacitor on board.

Then they decide to suddenly remove it then shortly after replace it and we don't actually get the update until late July thus far I still haven't received 295 and February's almost over.

So maybe that's why some people didn't get the update? They've stopped the update? Is it possible?

Slight Off Topic
how come Xperia TX never showed up in PTCRB certification? until now theres no 9.2.A.0.295. but it is released already.
On Topic
This update should fix all kinds of bugs that are obviously present in 9.2.A.0.295
-Volume(not showing and not changing the volume)
-Movies App(Blue Flickering Bug, when Show Recent video is turned on)
-SD Card(Sometimes Walkman and Movies App, can't read any files on SD card)
-100% Charge(Full Charge bug)
-and all the bugs we have or not have encountered, and hopefully they will further improve the software.
Is anyone not bothered by the stupidest bug I have seen in an Android release (No offence to Sony, but its actually pretty stupid)? The installation progress bar which is way out of place. How could they not see or fix this? I'm sure its a simple fix.
Little things like this do bother me.

I know what you're feeling, but this happens because they were focused on fixing worse bugs (the charging one that reboots the system, is incredible and not fixed yet)

Yeah I know! But what I meant was this is a simple enough fix
But yeah... there are bigger issues that actually affect the functionality of the phone.
Looks like 9.2.a.1.199 has also been certified for TL...

You can use "Fix Sony 4.3 bugs" module for Xposed Framework for fixing it.

Hi everyone..
I noticed that my Xperia V occasionally does not turn of the screen when I press the power button. Even if I do so repeatedly..
Only solution is either to wait some minutes or to remove the battery.
By the way, if the error appears while charging and I plug out the usb cable, the screen turns on and everything works fine.
Running stock 4.3, but I doubt that this problem is related to that, as I've already been running 4.3 for several weeks before the problem appeared the first time..
Any help or hints are greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
