[Q] Help please - cannot boot or load into recovery [SOLVED] - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an HTC One which was rooted and running Android Revolution 4.2.
Tonight decided to install 4.5 and, after a few freezes in Aroma Installer, thought I had the update working.
Installer seemed to crash around 70% through install then screen went black and it went to recovery. I went to hit reboot when it was that I had possibly lost root and did I want to fix that. I then decided to hit the back button as opposed to fix or continuing to reboot so I could figure out what was going on.
The screen went black and now the phone is stuck in a loop. It attempts to boot up, fails, tries to boot into recovery which momentarily flashes the logo of recovery before crashing. I can get into boot loader and tried reflashing recovery but no joy.
Really appreciate any help in trying to fix this....

fastboot erase cache turned out to be all I needed. I have been playing with phones for a while and really thought I'd bricked this one!!!

If you can get into hboot all is not lost then. Have you tried wiping the cache and existing recovery before flashing the new one?

remove the battery when it hangs on boot splash, place it back.. boot to stock recovery by pressing home+powerbutton.. wipe data /factory reset, reboot system.. it should boot to the homescreen..
I have problem with bricked Galaxy Mini that stopped working by itself. It just got very hot in pocket and now it wont pass boot animation just loops into reboot again and again.
When i get into recovery with yellow letters it says:
-- Appling Mulici-CSC --
Can't access to '/system/H3G/system'
After i try wipe data i get following message:
-- Wiping data...
Formatting /data...
E:format_volume: rfs for at faild on /dev/stl13
Formatting /cache...
Data wipe complete.
When i reboot after this, everything is the same, phone wont boot after animation and goes into loop.
KIES and ODIN do not recognize the phone although w7 does.
Is there a way to unbrick?
---------- Post added at 11:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:29 PM ----------
here is update:
Managed to get ODIN to see it, and flashed CMW and CM7 on it. Difference is that it now hangs on 'android' logo (boot animation) and does not reboot but still wont boot.
CMW doesnt report any errors like original recovery did. Also, it did instalation of cm7 without any reported error. Of course, did data wipe again...
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance...
Thanks for your reply kitrax59.
I can't enter to recovery mode..., when I try it, phone still some seconds in splash screen, reboot one time and hangs again in splash...
Any other method for enter to recovery?.
Thanks!!.

no other way.. just make sure you press the home first then the power button, and once you see the first samsung splash screen, release both keys.. holding it down too long will make it boot normally and gets stuck again at boot animation..

Stuck at HTC screen w/ disclaimer. Recovery boots up for 1 sec.

I have a Dev Edition. Was playing around with the new Maximus 6.0.0 rom in TWRP to figure out why it wasn't working when suddenly phone rebooted and now it's stuck at the HTC screen with red disclaimer. I can enter Bootloader/fastboot. Can even attempt entering Recovery but it just pops up for 1 sec then reboots.
Any idea what I should do short of reflashing using RUU?
Clear the cache with the all in one kit while in fastboot. Usually fixes my recovery not booting.

Did I brick my One?

Hey guys, I need help ASAP. So there was me just wanting to update my rom (trickdroid), doing everything as usual. The phone froze while installing, so I restarted it by holding down power and vol-. The phone doesn't boot since then. I can enter the bootloader, but when entering recovery, the small little clockwork appears then the phone reboots, and again and again. Now, I tried doing a factory reset in the bootloader and installing the recovery again. No luck. So now I have a phone that doesn't turn on. Please someone help me, I'm desperate. :/

When i try to boot it up regularly it gets stuck on the Quietly Brilliant screen.

This will sound weird but seems to be helping people in the dev sections:
Put the phone under a bright light, and hold the power and volume down buttons.
I haven't had to use this particular method myself, but supposedly it works.

[Q] NEED HELP!!! moto x screen went black and is unresponsive

can somebody please help me? my screen just went black at work today and it does nothing at all now. if I hold the power button it vibrates once. if I hold power+volume down I get to recovery. I tried to reboot from there and I get the unlocked bootloader warning screen and from there it just goes to a black screen. so I get back to recovery and installed my back up and that didn't help at all. somebody please help me.
So the bootloader is unlocked, what else have you done to the phone?
You may need to reflash it with rsdlite.
OP you need to provide more details. are you getting the M logo? is it bootlooping? is the phone doing ANYTHING but getting in to recovery?
load the fastboot menu and use mfastboot to flash the system, boot and recovery images. you should be able to bring the phone back to life without losing data.

the only thing ive done to the phone is put xposed framework on it and gravity box. that was prob a month ago tho. this is the first prob ive had with the phone.
You may want to follow this guide to return the phone to stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446515
You could also try commenting out the line that overwrites user data so you don't lose your data.
Try plugging your phone into the original charger and then boot to recovery, from their try rebooting while still plugged in. If that doesn't work try this again but wipe just the caches and reboot while plugged in. I have had a screen go black before on other devices and plugging the original charger(car and most others didn't work) in and booting to recovery then rebooting would get it working again.
PS When you boot to recovery check your battery level.
well...I used the moto x toolkit and returned to stock using that. everything booted up. so far everything is looking good. lost all my data but that's not that big of a deal.
