Unless you are truly dealing with a X10i - in which case you posted in the wrong device section - you're using the wrong FTF for your X8/W8.
The Xperia X8 is an E15i or E15a, the Xperia W8 is an E16i or E16a ("i" and "a" depends on the type of GSM network at your place).

HELP - E15i (X8), unlocked, and flashed with JB Mini, but radio/signal dead

Went to update a X8 to JB mini rom
went to unlock bootloader as shown here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
and applied the msm7227_semc.cmd tools here, on receiving the NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE log
only to find out the phone was unlocked in the first place.!!!
Now i have new rom on it. but radio/signal is damaged or disabled
tried to wipe to stock, and also re run the msm7227_semc.cmd
but nothing is working
can help to get radio working again please...!
Currently on
2.6.32.60-nAa-05 kernel
JB Mini Project | Final Release 4 | 2013-05-12
anyone?
basically i did the following thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
however i miss read it... seems to be worded a little strange to me.
ran s1tools
it said NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE
but also said LOADER VERSION: "r#####" with a small r, indicates it already unlocked, but didn't realize this until i read on. :crying:
i then stupidly ran msm7227_Setool2.cmd and/or msm7227_semc.cmd
went to flash JB rom with new kernel, all went fine. BUT my radio/signal is disabled
tried researching the forums for fixes. i.e. re-running msm7227 cmds, but nothing.
i have even managed to re-lock my bootloader via flashtool (big R in log)
but still signal doesn't work, even on stock rom that was repaired via PC companion with stock kernel
any ideas how to get my radio/signal back???
Try Relock & unlock with flashtool
Remove sim card while doing this

Are you sure the FTF you're trying to flash is not corrupt? Check MD5, or redownload the FTF.
Redownload the ftf file.. Check your usb cable.. If you can see sony logo yet, its not bricked try different usb port and flash it..

Does it show any sign of life at all? Try charging to a few minutes. I think it's a hard brick, but try anyway. If it doesn't work, send it to sony (serVice center).

i`ve tried to charge it with vivaz, (same battery),,, but no sign of living yet, is it the only way to fix this problem?

There are some shops that can fix it. You can also do it using jtag, but i haven't seen any tutorials about it. You can try google for that.

thanx,,, looks like i gotta` kiss the friendship between me and my friend goodbye...
but i still dont understand why "S1 tool identify" software said its unlockable, because i`ve seen one site and it claimed if you see that sentence "SEMC SIMLOCK certificate", in s1tool identify`s log, you can unlock the bootloader,

Well, you didn't want that to happen. Hopefully, you and you r friend can work things out. Yes s1tool will tell you that you can unlock it. Unfortunately, phones with manufacturing date above 11w28 is always a risk as far as unlocking the bootloader.

Good then. So I understood you already have flashtool. Firstly download this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/stock-rom-xperia-z-c6603-10-5-1-0-292-t2943618). After that you go to the flashtool folder, and find the firmwares folder. Copy the ftf file there. Open flashtool. Be sure you have the xperia z drivers on your PC. If not you can find them here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830). After you confirmed you have the drivers, press the lightning button from flashtool. Select "flashmode" and press OK. Select the .ftf file you downloaded and check all the things on the wipe section. After that, press flash and follow the instruction from the screen (if it's stuck at prepare for flashing, just wait, or if it takes really long, close the program and redo the things from above). Wait until the flashing it's over, disconnect the phone, and start it. It should be like new. (NEVER close the program before the flashing it's over. It can hardbrick your phone. Also be sure your phone has over 50% battery. Let it to charge for one hour if you are not sure about that).
If something goes wrong, just ask here what is the problem.
I hope I helped you
EDIT: Here you can download flashtool (http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php)
I wrote a small Flashtool tutorial that may help as it has images to guide you. Part 1 shows how to install drivers and part 3 shows how to flash a rom.

Have you tried to use Sony PC Companion --> Phone Recovery? If not, then give try (I didn't read the whole thread, sorry about that).
And if there's no luck either, try to find any GENERIC .ftf and flash it.
