Just thought I'd share a mod I've done to my nexus 4..
After smashing the back glass on my nexus 4 and getting tired of glass shards in
my pocket/hand every day I decided to make a new back for it (£50 for a replacement is a bit excessive..)
I thought I may as well try and add in another battery too, as I don't mind a thicker
phone and would always opt for a fatter phone with more battery if I had the choice..!
Now I have a 4200mAh nexus 4!!!

How To:
-Remove the battery cover, and remove all the glass from it (its a pain...so much glue...but easy with blade to slide under)
-Solder a wire to the positive of the battery connector (disconnect the battery) and a wire to the negative side. Leave them fairly long for now...then reattach the battery connector to the phone
-Peel off the NFC/wireless charging coils from the battery cover and put to one side
-Solder a wire to each of the 4 gold spring contacts that connect to the coils...leave these fairly long too
-Put the battery cover back on the phone making sure all 6 wires are sticking out the back
-Now put the second battery (I used a Samsung galaxy S3 battery, 2100mah 3.8v same as nexus 4 (and cheap)) in place on the back of the phone and fix it in place (double sided tape, hot glue..)
-Measure the voltage of the second battery and then measure the nexus 4 battery voltage and either charge or discharge the nexus 4 until the voltages of the two batteries are within about 0.05v of each other
-Solder the positive wire coming from the nexus 4 battery to the second battery positive contact, and negative to negative
-Put the coils on top of the second battery and fix in place. Then solder the 4 wires coming from the gold spring contacts to the correct contacts on the coils
-Now mark out a thick piece of plastic (I used 12mm Acetyl) so it fits in the step where the glass sat. Then use a router or similar to cut out a pocket for the second battery to fit. I shaped the back using a router, and finished it off with a belt sander.
-Fix the new back part to the phone using something sticky (I'm going to re stick mine with sikaflex, but hot glue or double sided tape work!)
-Now enjoy over 7 hours of screen on time!!

Hi there, I'm hoping to add a second battery or single larger battery to my nexus 4.
Can anyone see any problems adding another battery in parallel with the current one? The charging circuits are built into the battery so I guess it should work.....
Also I'm thinking of putting in a higher capacity single battery...from a note 2 maybe or one of these case batteries
I'm not bothered about the battery cover part of the phone..I can get that sorted after its working
I doubted you and I should be ashamed. Lol

I doubt it's going to work. Different batteries for different devices. Have you looked under the hood to see how the N4 battery is connected to the phone? Zerolemon is making a external battery that will allow us to snap and connect as it rides on it's back. It'll be up for sale in May.

Yeah I have the back off (it was smashed so I'm making a new one!) And its easy to add in small wires to the connector to get a battery in parallel. I've ordered a 3.8v 2100mah battery which is here tomorrow and I'm going to try it as long as I have both battery voltages identical before connecting them in paralell, there shouldn't really be a problem as the voltages should stay identical & both have separate charging circuits!
Yeah I was reading the thread about the ZeroLemon cases yesterday, they should be good!
I'm not sure but if you wire them in parallel, would that effectively double the voltage and fry your phone? Using a single larger battery with identical voltage to the original outta work though
It's the other way around. If you wire them in parallel, you double the current. If you wire them in series, you double the voltage.
Okay I'm running with a sgs3 battery (3.8v & 2100mah) in parallel, so now have a 4200mah nexus 4 I'm just finishing off wiring the wireless charging/NFC coils then I'll try and get some pics....

pics would be awesome, im curious about this alternative back you are using since you said the stock back shattered. also pics of the inside showing how you mounted it all would be cool. i would never do this but it sounds really interesting so if its too much of a pain, no biggie

What I'm doing with the back: I've taken all the glass off the plastic bit(the rubberised surround is part of this..) And where the glass was there is a step where it sat. I'm putting a thick back (Plastic) with the inside milled out for the sgs3 battery to fit. It will Be rounded and look a bit like the HTC one back then I'll wrap it in carbon fibre effect vinyl so it looks nice and professional!
Battery life is epic......4 hours screen time with full screen brightness after 24 hours off charger!!!! Only problem is that the battery meter goes down as usual (same speed) but stops around 20% (~3.8v) and stays there for aaaaaages before starting to drop again....
There is a file in sys/class/power_supply giving the full capacity of the battery (2100mah). Is this used to calculate percent? I might try changing it to 4200 and see if I get better readings....
Pics??

Its actually really easy...only hard bit is getting a back cover to fit over the extra battery...3D printer would be nice
Cost me £5 for the battery & £3 for the plastic (acetal) block the back is made from!
I will get some pics of the back when its finished properly
Could you use any other phone battery? As I have some old smartphones laying around. Might try get into this mod as I never say no to more battery life.

Yep i guess you could...each battery has its own protection circuit in so the batteries can't over charge etc
I will whack some pictures up of my neuxs tonight...its all done now
Nice one! Another option is to buy a 5000mAh battery pack, a good one like NewTrent often costs $25 - price varies quite a lot for some reason. It's a black rectangle about as big as the phone, and you just connect from the USB port to the phone with a normal charging cable. And you charge it up from a PC/wall charger.
Obviously a bit messy when you actually have to connect, but when you are not charging the phone is still the original size.
Hope I didn't spoil the fun
That would break this in the root. We are trying to add a battery not charge the existing one. I own a 12000mAh battery but this is very interesting as it would improve the battery capacity directly.

Are you still working on this?

Has anyone tried this thing? Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on it.
I haven't but i have heard its great. Pretty much a 3k mAh battery. Most just use the stock battery and then use the power skin or vice versa since it pops in and out relatively easy
Wish I could afford that (Laid off). Slightly annoyed that the phone can't keep his charge for more than 12 hours with the use I make of it which I guess is low to med-high use.
Does it work on the Nexus S (not 4G)? I have the i9020a, to be more exact.

You should look into undervolting the phone and using another kernel, if you haven't already. You can get great battery life doing this.

I have this case, it's not 3k mah... its 1500... its nice but it makes the phone a little bulky and for that reason i only use it when im going out and know im going to have to charge it... it charges it when the phone is dying... or you can leave it on while the phone is in it and it will charge while the phone is dying
EDIT: official website so you can see the details better http://power-skin.com/battery-cases/ap1510i91/samsung-nexus-s-4g.html
I had one. Returned.
It is an extra 1500mah battery that is just used to recharge your phone. It worked pretty well if you are going out and need more juice. I feel like it wasn't double the battery power but more like an extra 75% or so of the original battery.
It makes the phone more than twice as thick and you cannot really tell the remaining battery percentage because it is two separate batteries, granted there is a few leds on the back of the case to estimate the powerskin's remaining power, it is just a pita.
If you are using the case to charge and want to plug in some headphones, you better hope that you have some with a very slim connector (like the ones made for iPhones) because in my experience regular plugs are too thick and you have to take the case off to use.
Also the USB on the case is only used for charging, you cannot sync or use any other USB functions unless you take the case off.
I cannot really recommend this case because I was using it only when I needed extra juice. If I wanted something to charge my phone in a pinch I would buy something like: http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Instant-Charger-Lithium-universal/dp/B002FU6KF2 (Not necessarily this one, but something like it.)
If you want something with double the battery capacity of the NS and dont mind a little extra bulk (not as much as the powerskin) I really recommend this http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innoce...6C/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1322030905&sr=8-10
The other problem with using the Powerskin and the Seidio battery is NFC will not work when using them. The powerskin blocks the NFC antenna and the Seidio backplate does not have a NFC antenna.
Anyways, long reply but I hope I helped you make a decision. =)

I meant pretty much 3k when you include the stock battery. He power skin is only 1500 mAh by itself
decided to buy this cuz i wanted to protect the phone AND have an extended battery rather than carry around a phone and external battery pack. i hate the fact that there is only one iphone a year and a BAGILLION accessories for it, one which i envied for a long time is the extended battery case! The idea behind it is very simple since the micro usb connector is still kinda loose on some slack of cable. one of those "WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT" ideas... cant wait for it

I liked the powerskin and found that with it, I was able to achieve slightly under 100% increase in longevity. I assume the inefficiency is due to this acting as a charger rather than a true replacement battery. As you can see in my review, though, the thickness gain is quite noticeable.
Perhaps the most dramatic picture from my review:

OK so I've had it a hand full of days now and I've got to say it does a decent job. Like stated by others, the extra battery is roughly 75-80% of the OEM. Not bad, but maybe it gets a lil better as time rolls on. The bulk ain't bad after the first day, I kind of like that it is now a self defense unit (KO a mofo!)
Only gripe is that the skin is a little sticky when pulling out of the pocket, which in turn sometimes manages to slightly jiggle the micro USB connector and turns the battery pack on. Doesn't happen much, but is upsetting when I have 80%+ battery OEM and then I accidently turn the power skin on. This also means whenever u connect the micro usb to the phone the pack automatically turns on, so if i dont need it running i need to make sure i turn it off after applying the skin to the phone. Other than that this thing is exactly what I expected

I just got mine yesterday and I love it, the thickness increase makes it feel like a more hardy phone and for me it makes it easier to use. Basically is a phone charger for people on the go, anyone who thought this would actually replace the battery should of read the details a bit more. My one worry is that the rubber that holds the phone to the battery will wear badly but only time will tell.

The picture looks good. Somethings we just forgot how thin the smart phones are... an extra skin is just as thick as an old phone.
well after 2 weeks the port broke for charging the case and phone. I sent it in for a refund, as the quality of the port is not very good. Shame because I loved this case.

My car mount arrived from Amazon today and I must say that I'm impressed. Very solid and doesn't feel flimsy at all. Going to rig up a mount for my Verizon 4G Mifi so that I have Wifi on the go! LOL
Drove around for a big and it wasn't in my field of view at all....probably because I'm tall and sit above the mount. This is in a Toyota Matrix, which isn't a big car to begin with, and it looks great.
Going to be easier now to get my Waze on LOL

How deep are the arms on the part that holds the tablet. I'm looking at that one for using both my N7 and Nook Color. I'd like to keep the cases on if at all possible.
It comes with different length arms to accommodate various depths. I tried it with the case that I use and it worked fine.

Very nice!
Not a good idea to keep any cellphone or tablet in the sun, your battery will suffer! Just get a Garmin or something for navigation.
Long live the One X
You can only mount your GPS to the windshield on the driver’s side in the lower 5″ corner of the windshield, or the lower 7″ corner on the passenger side in California, You can however block a 5″x5″ section of your windshield for a toll transponder. When it comes to collecting money California says screw safety.

The big question for me is: what do you use to charge the tablet in navigation mode and does the charger output enough juice to actually charge the tablet?
I have a Galaxy Note, but even with only 5" screen, running it in navigation mode drain so much power that I am yet to see any charger that charges the phone. Most of the charger, even Samsung own dock, just slows down the discharge.

Yeah for my trip yesterday to the city I used the car charger from my phone. While it didn't charge it, the battery only depleted about 10% in the hour drive that it took us to get there. That's pretty impressive given that without the charger it probably would've lost over 50% know that same amount of time with the gps and WIFI chugging at the same time.
Today, since the Matrix has an actual power outlet on the dash, I took the little wall wart that I use to charge my blackberry Playbook at home and it charged the Nexus 7 just fine with gps and WIFI running.
I believe that I've seen 2amp micro usb car chargers which would charge the N7 with no problems.

What he means is that batteries don't last as long (e.g. they stop holding their charge) when they are exposed to heat over long periods of time. Batteries contain electrolytes which are acidic molecules that break down over time. Heat causes them to break down faster, cold causes them to break down slower. This is why people with smarts store their batteries inside of their refrigerators until they need them.
But that's not to worry so long as your car is air conditioned and you take the tablet with you when you leave (a good idea anyways since seeing a tablet up in the dash will probably make your car more likely to get broken into by a meth head after he is done stealing copper tubing.) Bonus points if your tablet has a case on the back, which will absorb the heat from the sun before your tablet itself does.
I have used Binder clips before to make docks that clip onto the AC vent, so it cools the device while i'm driving
mind you, they work for a phone, but i dont think it will work with a tablet.
After seeing your thread on this car dock, I ordered two for myself and one for my wife.
I received them today and though I would post a few pics. Great docks by the way. No shake at all. Very sturdy.
Short Neck:
Extended Neck:
This is the the same dock that I have been using for about 5 weeks.
It has been on one 2400 mile trip and a 700 mile one.
CAUTION - if you hit a very hard bump, the tablet can fly loose. It has happened to me 3 times.
The spring tension, though fairly tight, isn't tight enough in extreme cases.

I'd be curious to hear your experience, I wonder how thick or fragile it is. I'd buy one to test but I am not in the US and would have to import it.
I ordered one a week or two ago. One of my wireless charging pads (which I didn't have any of, so I had to order a couple) arrived yesterday, but still waiting for the receiver coil. Hopefully any day now.
Edit: bah, I forgot, it's being shipped from HK; it'll be a while yet (the pads came from the US).

Awesome, I look foward to hearing your thoughts on it when you get it
They are pretty thin. I've never use one quite like that, but I used the external pads for the Note 2 that I retro fitted into my old Verizon Galaxy Nexus... and it worked extremely well.
I ended up hooking it up to the POGO pins and taping it onto the battery I had to do a little case modding to make it all fit in a normal Incipio Feather case (basically cut a back plate in half, but I had like 5 of them).
So it works really well. The problem I see here though is you are eating up the USB port all the time. With the thin profile cable, I wouldn't attempt to unplug it many times. Just leave it and forget it. Fortunately the G2 has a great battery. My Verizon G2 has this built in, and I Qi Wireless Charge every night.
The Coils are thin, but thick enough to forbid the use of a thin case like a Incipio Feather. If you use this, you are best off using a TPU case that is flexible.
player911 has nailed the situation. My plan is to 'switch over' entirely to wireless charging for the most part, and wifi file transfers -- I don't want to be unplugging/plugging the usb connector in at all. I figure one more charging pad (total 3) should do it... 1 at work, 2 at home kinda thing.
The eBay version of the amazon listing linked seems to suggest it will come with a case (the one pictured). I can't imagine why I would be asked to pick a colour otherwise black or white, when ordering. Yet both listings state "1 piece", so who knows. Will report what I end up with when it arrives. My S3 had the pogo pins so that you could use wireless or usb for charging but I never went that route at the time. The use of the usb port on the G2 did give me pause but I'm going to give it a go.
I would give it a go too. Perhaps temporarily until a internal solution pops up (bound to happen). Even if it doesn't come with a case, TPU cases are a dime a dozen.

Awesome, thanks for the pics! BTW, what charging pad is it that you have there, with the green and red lights?
How thick is the coil? Do you think it is possible to fit it under the back cover? Because I'm planning to do that and run the cable through a hole I want to cut in the back cover so that I can plug it in the usb connector.
Eh that isn't too bad. Looks fine IMO. Besides you don't really need to use the USB port with the Wireless Storage option (awesome feature) and Qi Charging.
So if the port is unused, the also acts like a port saver to keep dirt and lent out.
If you feel lucky and want to further reduce thickness, you can open that package up and remove just the coil. The packaging is basically a thick plastic sticky back that is folded over. Removing the outer plastic housing will cut down 1-2mm. Inside the hard plastic cover, there is the actual coil that is in a black square sticker. The Coil itself is round. On mine, I removed the outer shell and trimmed the unused outside area around the coil. Creates a smaller footprint and gets even thinner.
My goal with my Galaxy Nexus was to fit it in a hard Incipio Feather Slim Case. As it is, any TPU case should work though.

it is thin, but I don't if there is enough space under the backcover, I've never removed it.
I'm still testing it, if my readings are correct it is charging the G2 with at least 400 mA.
Now I've moved it to check how much does the positioning matter.
I've charged it from 50% to 100% using this stuff, it was charging with ~450 mA
Qi is a slow charge. I use mine for my desk and nighttime charging.

I've ordered two different kinds, one is the same as Wizard7 that purports 500 mA output and the other purports 750 mA output. I've received neither one yet although according to tracking, the 750 mA one is finally slated for delivery today. But it has a longer cable that I'll figure out how to fold or contend with.
While I fully expected qi charging to be slower, I have to admit I hoped it would be faster than PC USB at least. It would have been a decent solution if I didn't "lose" use of the usb ports but I guess as long as it charges overnight, I can't complain.
Sooo which qi chargers do you guys recommend?
I also bought the charging coil ;D

Since all batteries have a consumable capacity of about 1-2 years, are there any battery replacements available?
Or does this watch really cost about $150 to wear per year?
It's relatively easy to replace the battery:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WzGC0786U0
The battery has part number of: LSSP482230AB
ok... BUT......... where to buy the specific battery?
i cannot find one. and i think that after 6... 12 months all gear will be UNFINDABLE and the battery ......will be very hard if not impossible to find.
so, all buyers after max 2 years should change the gear

That's are simple to replace a battery.. i think..
there are cheaper ones available and there are videos on you tube to see how its installed
really easy to do ,the gear is a very easy to replace parts watch
Has anyone gotten any 3.7V batteries to work? There are some cheap ones for RC helicopters that are about 5 for $10. I saw there was another thread about higher capacity replacement. I'm not sure, but the last post mentions having batteries of the same voltage, so I guess that means the 3.7V batteries don't work? I can't find any inexpensive 3.8V batteries that are small enough to fit the gear.
Well, could it be possible to increase the memory too?

The only battery I've found for the Gear is the same one from the UK linked above (here it is on the US eBay site). Including shipping, it's $40. Plus you need the right tools -- I only have a set of miniature philips head and flat head screwdrivers, and taking the Gear apart requires some kind of mini torque bit. (FYI, the flat head screws on the front of the Gear are just for show!) The set the guy in this tear down vid suggests is $30 on Amazon and $20 at Walmart.
So minimum $60 to replace the battery. Concrete examples of cheaper alternatives are welcome. My battery worked fine until a month or so ago, when I noticed it was draining at an extremely high rate -- 8% to 10% an hour. I've done everything I can think of software wise -- different versions of Gear Manager, deleting SAproviders from my phone, and finally finding out there was still a drain when the Gear wasn't even connected, then rooting and deleting some apps, flashing the TizenMod ROM, upgrading to newer FW not yet available for the US, all with no joy.
I can only guess that it's the battery now, but I'd prefer not to spend $60 on a guess.
FYI, I received the battery from the UK and the repair kit from Walmart for the aforesaid 60 bucks, and it was indeed relatively easy to change out the battery. Not like swapping out the battery on the Note 4, of course, but it's less than a five minute job.
So I was able to find a much cheaper option. I found a $2.35 (us dollars) 3.7V battery that works. It's smaller capacity (240mAh), but seems to last reasonably long (went from 100% to 63% in a 24 hour period). I had to cut the connector from the original battery and solder it onto the top of the replacement battery. You can pull the existing connector away from the battery and cut as close to the battery as possible to leave enough of the metal to solder to the replacement battery. I posted a picture on i.imgur.com/fUZD6Re.png (can't post pictures yet) You'll also have to desolder red and black wires on the new battery before soldering on the old connector. Make sure you keep the polarity the right way around when you solder the connector to the new battery. (red wire is typically + and black is -). Here's what the new battery looks like (from the back) once the soldering is done and the connector is pushed back into place i.imgur.com/2jHv7ly.png
I kept a close eye on the watch the first time I charged it and the battery didn't get too hot to the touch. It's been a few days now and it's gone through a couple of charge cycles and seems OK. I don't have enough cred on this forum to post a link to the battery I bought, but if you do a google search for the following, it's one of the first links that comes up:
3.0 cm x 2.0 cm x 0.5 cm 240mah lion 3.7v battery
Thanks for the info!

So, I'm going to give this a try! Do you have any updates on how the watch is holding up? Are you still able to hold a charge for at least 24 hours? Have you had any problems develop with the watch afterwards?

Great post. Ordered the battery you mentioned as well; it's actually hard to find anything decent above 240mah it seems. I've had my galaxy gear (gear1) now for over 18 months, use it every day and have probably run through more than 300 charge cycles... The battery is definitely not holding the same charge as it did; can't get a full day of use anymore.

Sorry, haven't been checking these forums regularly. Yes, the replacement battery is still holding up well and hasn't degraded noticeably. If you're comfortable with a soldering iron, then go for it.
So I also took the plunge and ordered a 340mah from eBay for about 9€. I cut the pads from the original battery and soldered the leads of the new one on it. It was a tight fit but so far the experiment worked. I am just testing the battery, just sitting on idle and on day two the battery is at 55%. When I am sure it won't short or blow up on my hand, I 'll connect it to the smartphone and see how it goes.

First, I’d like to thank MPJ for sending this 6000mAh battery for testing and this is an unbiased review. I usually don’t like to test batteries because I always carry my extra original battery and QC 2.0 Power bank with me. I have my G4 on May 28th 2015. One week before the G4 was selling in USA. The G4 was given to by LG USA Mobile for the G4 Trial Program. After a couple of weeks I have brought a battery on Ebay for about $7 shipped from China. This is the first battery I can find but its a fake battery that wouldn’t hold charge and drain like crazy.
This MJP battery will give a MASSIVE boost to your phone's life. Makes the phone a lot more beefy and a bit more heavy, but if you are a heavy user it is way more than worth it to try. The case/battery is flatter than the standard back of the G4 which makes it sit steady on table tops which I liked.
The charging speed is about the same as the original battery but 2 X more because its 6000mAh. The charging temperature is around 23 degree C which is quite cool. I had even tested to see the battery will hold charges.I fully charged the battery and left it unused for 3 days. Then put it on G4 and its still at 100%.
Pros:
- Ridiculous battery life boost, like an insane jump over standard G4.
- New case is steady on tables and will not scratches the camera lens.
Cons:
- Bulkier/beefier phone, heavy users like myself will find this way outweighed by the battery life gains.
- No NFC and wireless charging.

Somehow we always end up testing the same products.
I have one of these also and am currently on day 2 of the first charge.
I will have a review to post up here in about 2 more days with my opinions of this product.
So far it is looking good for me.
oh boy how ugly ...
is there any 4000mAh or 4500mAh battery ???
because 6000 or 8500 are good in term of battery life but are making the phone look really UGLY

+1 this!
This is why I just bought some Quick Charge chargers... with all my other phones I ALWAYS ended up getting an extended battery, but with the quick charge on this phone, I'm fine! Got 2 quick charging chargers at home, and one in the car. Just throw it on when I'm not using it. This phone charges SO FAST on these chargers that I don't even plug it in at night because it will be on the charger for 7+ hours longer than it should be.

Completely agreed. Anyone with even a modicum of a fashion sense will absolutely stay right the hell away from this.
But hey, it's called a "Business battery" for a reason!
Just keep that sh*t hidden in meetings and you're good to go
MPJ was kind enough to allow me to test out their new 6000mAh Li-ion High Capacity Extended Battery For LG G4.
I have had this battery for about a week now and have been using it every day.
I consistently am able to get two days of use out of it with everything syncing normally and brightness set at 75%.
I went three days one time and had to charge it when I got home from work, so I would say the max I was able to get from this battery was two and a half days.
Charging time for me was about double the time it takes to charge the standard battery, which makes sense as it is double the capacity.
I did however find that my Quickcharge 2.0 charger did seem to charge it slightly faster, but this battery does not claim to be Quickcharge compatible so it may just be that my Quickcharge charger is just a better charger.
I had no issues with heat while charging this battery. It actually seemed to be cooler while charging than the stock battery.
I did find that in my daily use of this battery and case I found it much more enjoyable to use the phone while on a flat surface due to the flatter back of the case.
It removed the normal rocking this phone comes with when set on it's back.
The extended portion also prevents the camera lens from touching any surface when setting the phone down, preventing scratches.
There is some added bulk to this case and that was to be expected as it is double capacity from the standard 3000mAh stock battery.
I however did not notice it in hand much at all due to the well rounded edges of the back cover.
It actually fits rather nicely in hand and was comfortable to use.
The ports on the back cover all line up perfectly. The opening for the volume and power buttons fit so perfect that you would think LG them-self designed this back.
The opening for the speaker is sectioned off so you get better sound coming directly from the speaker through the opening with no distortion from going through the rest of the case.
This is one little thing that sets this case above the others like it.
The only problems I can find with this case is the lack of NFC and the smooth texture of the back they sent me.
They do however sell a textured back cover for this battery for $9.99.
Finally the price of this is perfect at $29.99 with free Prime shipping on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Batt...821189&sr=8-7&keywords=lg+g4+extended+battery
Pros:
Double capacity battery = double usage!
Comfortable back in hand
No rocking of the device when on it's back
Good charging time
Well made case
Price
Cons:
No NFC (seriously, this could be a deal breaker if you need it, there is no way to add it without some serious modifications)
If you can live without NFC (I can) and you need either more charge in your phone for day-to-day use or just want to make your phone last for more than one day on a charge, I would recommend you purchase this extended battery and back plate.
I would give this 5/5 stars
I will include some pictures so you can see for yourself what this battery is like.
Sorry about the lower quality pictures, I had to use a backup phone to take pictures as my G4 was in them
I will try to answer any questions you may have about this item.
I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review, this does not change my opinion of the battery in any way.
If this review has helped you at all, please click thanks below to let me know.

Just click the back you want from the options.
Im getting 5+ hours screen on time from the stock battery, so 5 hours with 40% left means this is closer to a 4500mah battery labeled at 6000mah. Dirty. Can you confirm your screen on time barely reached 7.5 hours screen on time, and not 10hours?
A 50% boost is not worth making my phone 700% uglier

Each person's screen on time will vary.
You can not compare mine vs yours. (or anyone else)
One person may have an extreme battery saving setup that gives 12 hours screen on time from stock.
While another person could be running always 100% brightness with tons of background apps running always and using tons of battery and only get 2 hours screen on time.
As for your claim about capacity, you should not assume things with no proof.
I have the battery and did a review on it.
It is definitely 6000mAh.
I have a USB voltage detector and it shows you current charge rate and total charge.
It showed me between 5800mAh and 6100mAh every time I charged mine.
Here is a picture of the one that I have so you know what I am talking about.

Yes, I am also a bit curious about that.
Looks great ! But to much big .. Will be really great to see a 4000mah or 4500mah with cover a little bit bigger but not like this one
Just bought my G4 there is 3 days and for the moment really good ! :fingers-crossed:

Easy killer. I clearly asked "if" that's what they do - and yes i used my own screen on time of 5 hours as estimate, but only because the last 3 in a row non-MPJ ebay batteries purchased ended up being totally bogus. Literally half capacity.
As it turns out - YOU WERE RIGHT, i bought a pair of 3000mah MPJ replacments for the stock battery, and while the battery discharge graph is very strange and shows charging-sloped-inclines during sleep (5%-10% spikes of battery remaining) you absolutely do get every advertised mah. They last as long as the stock battery.
Thanks for the recommendation
I will just stick to quick charge and 2 batteries. I spend a lot of time on the slopes so I would rather swap batteries then have bulk in my pocket
But by this way you are adding a lot of pressure on your phone charging Circuit and maybe your are shorting its age!
