Did you get into the recovery of the GB rom and do a wipe/factory reset?

Just get into recovery by pressing Volume_+ (opposite to what you pressed for Download mode), Center home and Power at the same time and keep them pressed until you get to a basic menu, after the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 screen, all the way until the blue-ish menu appears (that's CWR - Clockwork Recovery).
From there, navigate using your volume keys down the list, select "factory reset - full wipe", click that, do it and then back and select "Reboot system".
Things should be ok after that, this is far from a major problem and one that I've encountered almost every time I had to go back to a stock GB ROM
Best of luck!
How to get to the recovery mode? Sorry i have no idea on it.

Wipe Cache & Dalvik 1st.
See if things get better.
If not, then do factory wipe and then clear all phone/USB Storage
Do these steps.
1. Pull out battery for a minute or so.
2. Boot into recovery vol-up+home+power.
3. Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
4. Factory reset.
5. Enjoy a clean phone.

Sorry I keep posting things to myself and solving it on my own after hours -__-.. I already struggled hours beforehand and was frustrated..
Anyways, I went to CMW recovery mod, deleted the back up that I backed earlier. And then format/reset to factory mod / wipe partition / cache / Dalv. Then I went to boot my device but after 10 minutes, it'd still be loading cyanogen.... so I reinstalled the CyanogenMod9. Wiped all the things I mentioned above again and when it loaded to OS, it worked..
I have no idea what was causing it.. probably the back up file interfering somehow? Because that's the only thing I got rid of and everything went back to normal.

Hey guys, I successfully installed CyanogenMod 9 on my Gingerbread 2.3.5.
Everything is great and slick. I used to use CyanogenMod 7.
Funny thing is, I enabled the lock screen (pattern) and it seems to be not working? I don't know if I'm missing something but after leaving my phone for good 20 minutes, I came back to turn on (from sleep) and it wasn't asking for lock screen pattern. I tried slide too, same.
Also, from my previous versions, whenever I was in setting or any app, if I were to press on Home Button it would bring my back to main screen. My Home button no longer does this. I have no idea what it does now, I press it and the phone vibrates (indicates that its been pressed) but no effect. I have to literately press Back like 5 times just to return to Main menu.
Is there something I'm suppose to enable or something?
Let me know, thank you
-Dan

Hey danroh,
I had same issue with home button and lockscreen and this steps fixed problem:
1) I accidentally downloaded Jelly Bean gapps instead of ICS version
2) Reinstalled CM9
3) Downloaded experimental build and flashed that over stable one
4) Flashed with proper ICS gapps
5) Factory reset/Data wipe, Clear Dalvik cache
6) Reboot
-----
Hit thanks if that worked for you

Weirdly, my brother's Galaxy S had the same thing. Home button just would not work after installing CM9. Tried a few things, failed.
Then, I found this thread and I remembered that I'd backed up his old CM7 a while before. Deleted that backup in CWM Recovery, factory wiped/cache wipe, reinstalled CM9 and Gapps for 9 and boom, everything was fine.
EDIT:
Another thing to note is that when the home button wouldn't work, there was no Lockscreen either, just like you had. On first boot it didn't prompt me for a google account either, which it did do after I deleted the backup.

Hi all,
This was happened since yesterday. Suddenly my phone got stuck and reboot itself after few seconds. But It won't back again and stuck on bootloop. I was on stock rooted ROM with Philz kernel.
Then I've tried to reboot on recovery but It also very hard to get there. After 10-12 times I was able to go recovery, and I did full wipe there. But, I wont fix the issue. Some times It's booting properly( After pull out battery for 5mins ) but only last for few seconds. Very first time I press the home button after sleep or lock, phone get stuck and reboot and bootloop.
I've tried different ROMs, Kernels, even GB ROMs, Finally tried to fix file system errors with e2fsck. But nothing was solved my problem.
Please, anyone here had same issue ? Or any knows solution to fix it ?
Thanks
Anybody can help ... ??? I can work with this phone until it get stuck once. After that, bootloop. If I keep switched off and battery removed, after 10-30mins back, It's working again.
Please anyone can help me ?

try to remove the whole ROM with the kernel from recovery mod , i think there is an option for that in "advanced options" menu , so that ur device will show nothing when you press the power button ..
then download any stock rom and flash it with odin ,..
another method is to flash previous rom update , i.e ICS if your device is on JB , then via KIES update your device ..
hope that helps you

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I've tried formatting all partitions from recovey mode. and I've tried flashing GB ROMS via odin. every rom boots first time, but once it locked, it get stuck when try unlock. Then it wont boot again.
I've tried CM10.1 as well , but no hope.
The thing is, once it stuck and reboot, It wont even boot to recovery as well ( If I try 100 times, 1 time can be able to boot recovey ) . But for Download mode is anytime can boot.
I've never heard such a spooky problem before
any other ideas... please ...
Go to download mode and clean-install a stock ROM using ODIN. Then install PhilZ boot loop free kernel and you'll be on root again.

my SIII Mini is formerly on stock I8190DXAMA2 firmware 4.1.2 JB, then successfully root it using seedrom193 guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852, then later i updated the Superuser app through googleplay, installed updates and su binaries? .after that it ask me for a reboot , choose from normal reboot or CWM reboot , i choose CWM reboot because i thought it the one because i have a custom recovery, after rebooting, i noticed that my sub menu and back button is not working, no lights when you touch, but my touch screen is working good. so i'm worried i decided to factory reset and wipe data to solve it. all data was lost because i did not back up. after rebooting again, my sub keys and back button working again ...WHAT HAPPENED??? please help and give me infos if you encountered the same to your SIII Mini. thanks guys! Phillippine user here.
Common issue with cwm when you reboot while in cwm, keys doesn't function till you reboot phone again. Or it can take up to a min for keys to work again.

Hello people o/
I've downloaded a CM11 rom for my galaxy ace and i'm having some problems with it.
As soon as I installed everything(gapps, cmlogin) the phone turned on normally, but now I can't use neither the volume button or the back/options button, and just to add up there's no keyboard installed on my phone anymore.
Can someone please help me with it? It's really frustrating

Boot into recovery and restore a backuped rom , you can also use Odin to flash a fresh stock rom
Here there's a usefull q&a thread, have a look
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313363
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but the same thing is happening to me. Clean install, wipe data, format system and it's still there. It seems that this problem only pops up after installing Gapps. But as far as I know, it's Gapps for 4.4.4. using this particular CM11 build. http://download.androidarmv6.org/_builds/cooper/stable/ RC10.

Please let me know how i have to enable the keyboard. i am unable to connect to wifi also as unable to type the password in the prompt.
let me know if there is any other process to be followed while flashing the files.

The solution for my my problem was:
Wipe data/factory reset AND
Clear cache and Dalvik cache AND
Format system partition
This can be done using ClockworkMod using various menus.

Set as solution. Maybe you want to add the software you used for these steps. – davidbaumann May 20 '14 at 4:42

There is no additional software involved, other than booting into Recovery. – Matthias Urlichs Sep 13 '15 at 10:16

I also had to install CM again after these steps, but maybe because I said "No" to rooting the phone again on a reboot, and perhaps CM does that anyway (yes this is not the most intellectual comment) – Matthias Nov 25 '16 at 16:44
