Hello everybody,
I've been searching through a lot both here at XDA, and Google in general. I'm confused about what phone I should go for and need some help to get this information correct.
I'm living in US with AT&T, but moving to Norway in one year. Should I buy C6602 or C6603?
According to GSM Nation both C6602 and C6603 will give me everything except LTE with AT&T. Only C6603 will give me LTE when I go to Norway. In that case, C6603 would be my best choice.
I've read reports that people are having problems with C6603 and AT&T. What did I miss?
Thank you in advance
C6603
Thank you for quick response, but what about those people who experience trouble with ATT and C6603?
Some people reports that they only get EDGE and therefore change to a C6602 instead.
Are AT&T using different frequencies for different hspa+ areas?
6603 of course

My friend offered to sell me his Xperia T from Rogers, but I'm unsure if it has 1700/AWS for HSPA+ (aka T-Mobile/ Wind Mobile HSPA). Does anyone know if it does for sure?
I know the LT30p Xperia T has that frequency as well as the LT29i Xperia TX.
Because according to the white paper http://dl-developer.sonymobile.com/documentation/whitepapers/Xperia_T_LTE_WP_1.pdf it does,
The LT30at Xperia TL from AT&T does not have it as stated in the white paper: http://dl-developer.sonymobile.com/documentation/whitepapers/Xperia_TL_WP_4.pdf
Does anyone know for sure if the LT30a has HSPA AWS/1700? I've also googled around and I've been getting mixed contradicting answers.
Forgot to add in, the Rogers site says it doesn't... Very confusing! http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wire...=normal&productId_Detailed=XPERIATBLK&N=52+11
Thank you!

FYI the service menu on the Rogers LT30a version says that is has UMTS_BC1, UMTS_BC2, UMTS_BC4 and UMTS_BC5, as well as LTE_BC2, LTE_BC4, LTE_BC5 and LTE_BC17.
In other words, the Xperia T w/ LTE from Bell and Rogers do not work with Wind/Mobi..

I actually got it and unlocked it. It worked.
So are you saying that it works on (3g/4g/HSPA or whatever high speed data NOT EDGE) the 1700 bandwidth for T-mobile and Wind?

Would you be kind enough to tell me the website from where you purchased your unlock code. I am also wanting to purchase a locked Rogers LT30A from a friend and wanted to make sure it works on WIND Mobile before I make the purchase. Thank You!
I was lucky I had bought my Xperia T from the Sony store and it came unlocked I just had to buy an LTE SIM card to get Fido's LTE network .

Where would I be able to pick up an LT30a to use on T-Mobile's 3.5G network? Can't seem to find any online retailers selling it yet.

After starting the thread, and solving the issue, it might be nice if you would post the solution for others with the same problem.
I am looking to buy the xperia z and i'm using t-mobile right now. I have read that the 6602 is the one that would work but since t-mobile is going to upgrade their network in couple of weeks does anyone know if the 6603 would work also?
Hey either depending on the availability and warranty. Rest doesn't matter.

I can get a hold of both model but warranty would be oversea since the US does not carry the phone I would need to send it to the country
that does carry the phone if anything happens. So the 6603 will work with t-mobile 3g network?

6602 is 3g only, and 6603 is LTE/4G (mine is 6603 and it's 4G). If you need/want 4G/LTE connection, buy 6603
So the 6603 will work with t-mobile network?
I bought my Xperia z from EU since at that time it wasn't published in U.S. . And I found that 4G or 3G of T-mobile didn't support my phone. Then I searched many threads. I found people said they flashed basebands of C6606 on the C6603 and they got LTE. Finally I tried it,too. But it doesn't work. Wifi couldn't be turned on, and SIM card couldn't be detected. Is there any other ways to let me get LTE or at least 3G? I really need it .
Stupid question:
I have a UK Xperia Z on O2 and am due to move to the US at the end of the year. I'll need to get a contract with a US carrier of course, but my question is whether my UK Xperia Z will work with a US carrier? As said it might be a daft question but I wasn't sure and I dont want to find out when I'm sitting in a hotel in New York wondering why my phone doesn't work.
Won't you get a new phone with a new contract?

Yes it will work. I believe on att as far as hspa+ and T-Mobile edge. I'm 90% sure as I have had a few carrier locked international phones that were completely unlocked once over here in the states. So I don't see why this would be any difference.
You won't be able to get LTE (4G) in some regions with AT&T since they use 2 different LTE bands which one is not compatible with the Z.

What version of the Z do you have? C660?

Sorry, I remembered wrong. It's 3G I was talking about. I was in Arizona 1,5 month ago and had no 3G using Red Pocket who uses AT&T network. My fiancee has Xperia P and had 3G using same network.

The smartest move is to sell it in the UK and buy a new phone in the US. The Xperia Z you have is not compatible with US LTE bands and probably not with T-Mobile's AWS 3G+.

I have C6602 and I just moved to US, it is working fine with AT&T and T-Mobile, no need to worry my friend
Afternoon all!
Long time lurker, first time poster here.
Very satisfied owner of a C6603 model, running the CM11 nightlies as they're released, currently on T-Mobile.
I'm relocating from the UK to the US in a few weeks, and I'd love to go back to T-Mobile US, who I have used previously - but I'm aware my phone has some restrictions barring me from using the bands they operate on.
Trawling through endless threads about baseband flashing to enable the right frequencies on the modem, I was hoping somebody could either confirm or dispel the idea that I can enable at least 3G data speeds for T-Mobile US on my C6603 using this method? I would largely be using the data for Google Maps navigation.
Otherwise, it would be great if anybody could recommend a carrier with a decent 3G data and texts offering (not fussed about minutes or 4G internet speeds) - that are supported by the C6603 - at a reasonable cost. Preferably prepaid, but open to contracts. I did look at AT&T, but the prices seem extortionate in comparison!
Thanks!

If you are planning to to use C6603 on T-Mo US you will be stuck on EDGE/GPRS
