Hey guys. I have problem.. its 6 in the morning and I just checked that my phone was awake all night and I don't know why! I greenified most apps which are awake all the time like facebook, whatsapp, etc.. I even cleared memory before sleeping but still my phone doesn't sleep
I want to know is there any app which tells me which all apps keeps my phone awake all night and eats up all my battery???
Sing to it a song for sleeping, or give him some sleeping pills LOL

What does this app actually does? Samajh hi nahy aaya :/
It tells me the apps taking wakelock, all the apps. Not the onetakingwhich is. Actually keeping it on! I think ..
If I keep it on full, only 1 app is left systemui. But when I close and again open the app, all apps are back. It doesn't force close them! !

Firstly , you need to use the wakelock detecters to find the process
Then if it links onto an app or whatever you can try to uninstall it or force close it

The second attachment is showing the battery usage. Phone was not awake, screen was off, still so much of battery used up. Even cpuspy says phone was on deep sleep

So you're telling me the phone eats up 36% of battery while off for about 6h ?
There might be some other variables which affect battery life....like temperature , battery condition and battery capacity/life , as well as the battery calculation in the kernel

everything is off.
turn the phone off and let it fully (100%) charge . go to racovery and wipe battery data . if this didnt work your battery has problems . I suggest you to put the battery in a freezer and cool it to -20C for 2 hours. after thatagain fully charge the battery and use it . Im sure the second solution will work if the first one doesnt.
sorry for english mistakes!

try this:
Go to CWM and wipe battery stats.
now charge your phone fully till 100% or charge it for 3 Hours Max.
Then download this from the Play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=proffesionals.battery.callibration&feature=nav_other
Caliberate (search how-to) ur battery, if that doesn't work then get BetterBatteryStats fom the play store and find which app is draining ur battery (if any). If all this does not work out then change your battery, if that dont work then I hope ur not using a custom kernel which has bugs.
Calibrate battery won't help u.
By seeing your screenshot, i think the main problem is, your device can't sleep well, install CPUSpy to check this..
Your device is awake, but the screen is off, there's something wrong
Set governor to ondemand (the most battery saving governor i think)
Battery calibration is a myth!
It sounds like a kernel wakelock. Please give a detail report from betterbatterystats so that we can help you more!

Stock ROM 4.0.4 and have never rooted or flashed anything on before. It is completely stock and unaltered in every way. All I've done is install apps. It just seems to have been a little bad recently. I have BetterBatteryStats on, but the it isn't wakelocks. As I said, I've got the screen on consistently so the phone will always be awake. It is just that 20% in that amount of time seems really high, even for constant use, and I swear it didn't use to be that bad. I've installed Juice Defender because it tends to be good in how it managers network and WiFi. So far, things seem to be stabilising. But, I still want to know what can cause such sharp drainage...
Do you have a lot of apps running in the background? This is most likely the cause. Brightness is a big issue also. Flash a kernal!

Check that you have Auto-brightness enabled. Also, I found that certain apps can drain battery big time. I agree with checking via a battery stats program. Maybe an APP is running in the background causing the cpu to stay at max speed?

Totally agree. Before I root my Note to delete some unuse apps from stock 4.0.4, the battery drains very fast. The most reason is some apps running in the background.
Did you change your sim recently? Sometimes the culprit is sim card.

Not fixes, but suggestions:
- An app like Green Power will stop data usage when screen off
- As others said, look into your display. My favourite app is Display Brightness as it adds an invisible slider on your screen
- For some reason, Chrome in the last week began to EAT my phone. I uninstalled it and I'm back to a blessed 1% an hour drain

You may have to check your battery. Will it be hot when you are using it? Look at your battery, does it look "fat"? It happened once to me before, after changing a new battery. It's fine now. It was caused by overcharging it during the night.
I experienced it on my previous phone, now im going to prove it again in my note because i changed my sim recently and now i cannot achieved the 5 hrs i had before that my original sim card, best phone can do now is 3.5 hrs. I try to contact my provider if they can restore my previous sim card and see what will happen, its just a suspect.

How can I solve it, how can I find what app is keeping my phone awake? I am losing like 50% battery overnight while in airplane mode

Hi,
I was so satisfied with how good battery lasts till JB update came. Before that I would rarely charge before night but now I have to do it every night I am sort of light to average user. Yes I did. All from the scratch. I just red that one htc one owner had similar issue and his fast boot option was off he enabled it and things got way better. so was mine off just enabled it.
Why is everyone so surprised at Android System being at the top of the new battery stats?
It makes sense really. If you don't use your phone a lot, and nothing else is running taking up power, the system is going to be at the top...
As far as an actual drop in battery life, I'd download GSM battery monitor or Better Battery Stats and check for wakelocks.

Yeah I agree, especially if you reset your battery monitoring often, it can be highly confusing and misleading to read battery usage stats. I use Du Battery Monitor which I've been happy with.
I have wakelock detector installed. And also noticed android system wakelocks on cpu wakelocks are high on the high. Higher than anything else. And this happend in the first half an hour I am on the phone. First screenshot is cpu wakelock and second is wakelock triggers.
What would you guys advice to monitor for battery usage : over what time period and what to pay attention most. My wake lock detector is on now and I will do more screenshots tonight.

Well at least your phone is going into deep sleep and doesn't look like any rogue app. You may want to Greenify facebook though.
Also look here for a battery "calibration", some say it worked for them: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43579577&postcount=36105
And don't forget you need to let your battery "settle" which takes a couple of days.

Are your network location services on or off? If they are on, try turning them all off (as well as any Google Now network location service stuff). I found that sometimes the Google services updated badly and went into a situation where the battery would drain rapidly due to constant wakelocks.

I...don't think 16 hours is terrible considering that you seem to have been doing some Youtube and PDF-reading. The percentage on that PDF viewer seems pretty high but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Facebook is obviously the biggest culprit remaining.
I would try to use Facebook in your browser instead of the app. I'm not a heavy Facebook user and don't need the notifications. It gave me a big battery boost after deinstalling the app. Facebook is constantly syncing and tracking your location, it's very batterie unfriendly
