Well the question is, I guess. Being that the htc one is a jelly bean based build. Will either launcher... 1.work on this device? 2.get rid of blink feed? I am all for root, and rom swaps. I've just grown to like both launchers. They both offer enough of the customizable ability for me. on the few devices I've used them on prove to be stable and dependable, ie. Fully working. What do you guys think?
Its going to work just like it would on any other device. Its an app.

Well I have had my ONE for sometime now, as I'm sure everyone has. I am now running a BEANSTALK rom and a NEXT LAUNCHER 3D. Everything is buttery smooth and I'm loving the shiz out of it.

...... And have 2 .2

I just found out @ Engadget today this remarkable and very very good news, now lets hope its true
..... " Google's own Android lead developer is pretty definitive about the software, saying that "Gingerbread hardware needs are similar to Froyo." So if your handset can run version F, it should have no trouble handling version G... no trouble other than its own maker. "

does it work on 2.1
thanks
^ no Eclair support. Runs only on 2.2
But I find it slugish. And I see no advantages over ADW/LauncherPro. Or I am missing something?
Why don't you give it a try?
So, I am a noob in this but, I think that it was awsome if someone with the right knowledge can make a dilaer like this for our Dhd.

Hmm. I think it'd be an interesting and mildly entertaining diversion perhaps but not at all practical for actually making a telephone call - which seems to be the point really. I might install such a gimmick on a whim but it'd not stay on the phone for very long...
I might install something like this to show off but this isn't practical, so I wont be using it daily.

That is a feature that is built into CyanogenMod ROMs.
Just install a CM7 ROM and you will have that, and some other cool customization options to play around with.
If you are determined to not switch ROMs, there are a couple of apps in the Android Market which provide something somewhat similar. One of them is called 'Status Bar Settings'. But none of the apps in the Market really compare to the real thing in CM7 in my opinion.
Please state which Rom you are using....
Usually it comes as default with most of the Roms....

It will be a while before we get a decent Ice Cream Sandwich theme and even longer before a functional rom. I couldn't wait so installed the new font, threw the wallpaper on it and changed the icons in launcher pro to the best ones I could find.

Link still ain't working. Is it in your public dropbox folder?
It wouldn't let me post the screenshot directly so I posted the link.
If you like it I can upload the icons, wallpapers and font.
Use Go Launcher along with the ICS theme for Go Launcher and you get the exact icons in the Dock bar

+1 although I still love stock android, I'm just as happy with the same setup you got.Don't forget Viper4Android too!
I broke down and rooted the other day, and went to one of the new sense 5.5 Roms. That being said, I probably could have stayed on stock and been fine, but I just wanted some of the new features (customizable notification toggles are awesome, as are the lockscreen improvements).
I feel the same way about this phone. For once a manufacturer skin is more useful than aosp for me. Of course I tweak a little but, only cause I know how and the benefits. If this had been my first phone instead of the hero, I doubt I would have got into all this rooting tom foolery.
