Updating Nova HD

i've got a problem, i dunno how to update NOVA, at least not without flashing a newer version.
Is there another way without having to lose everything, cause its kinda annoying.
I tried update me, but that says there isnt a newer version (i've got 1.0.3 and want 1.1) so that doesnt work. I personally dont know any other way except flashing.

First of all, make a NANDROID BACKUP before doing anything stupid
UpdateMe App doesn't work for all custom Rom...if i'm right, it only works for CM7...
Second, you can update to version 1.1.0 by flashing it over v1.0.3 :good:
Just be sure to Wipe Cache, Dalvik-Cache and Battery Stats.
You DON'T need to Wipe System/Data.

Well i actually do have a question, ehm whats the difference between the rom, the kernel and the firmware. Since the difference is quite important when ur gonna mess with the software i thought i should ask.

[REQ] Multi Window Port

The Galaxy s2 have working multi window port from note2, its possible to port this to s plus or it needs samsung framework ? It would be very great if our phone becomes this mod

not with projectStock. but it takes a time to do that.
the sgs made it too, so why shouldn't we make it?

hey yes first i would but I think the devs should read it and its a kind of dev because it changes many things on system but okay i will remember next time, sorry about this

well, I will bring out two versions, one TWframeworks using and one without TWframeworks (will be released soon, alpha is already made. maybe this weekend, probably next cuz of exams... this build will NOT be named ProjectStock...)

So what's not working?

Blue flickering screen!! Question.

Hi guys, anyone here having a problem with blue flickering screen while using keyboards in youtube? I dont know whats this about so decided to put it here. It keeps flickering/shuttering.
Mod, please delete this thread if its unnecessary or already been discussed.

I cannot replicate this issue.
It would help if we knew which rom/fw you are on.
I am on rooted JB and do not get that blue screen

Oops! Sorry i completely forgot to put that. Xperia T JB, Dutch Generic, flashed it through flashtools. Build no.489. Not rooted n Locked BL .
And it only happens while on youtube(as far as i know)

Have you got any other keyboards installed? I cant really help further as i dont have that bug... try uninstalling you tube and then reinstalling it after a reboot

Same issue for me but with youtube how I fix this issue please anyone help\what version of firmware should I flashed ???

I had the same problem in Movies (on JellyBean) and in random apps (on Lollipop)
Try to Disable HW overlays (in Settings -> Developer options), see if it works.

I also have blue flickering when using gallery, but it usually disappears after few seconds( same problem with 4.3, 4.4, 5.0).

NFC Problems?

So I fixed my Xperia... But I have another problem... Go figure... The NFC on my device won't turn on. I can tick the little box but then it never really loads and allow me to use it or look at settings... I tried to do that whole rename the USF folder but I don't have that. -.-
I'm currently running the Avatar ROM...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much in advance... I just can't catch a break...

Each section has more than one page, so click on 2,3,4 ect in General & Q&A, I'd look for you but seeing as both of those sections are filled with pointless threads on a daily basis, you'll have to trawl through them.

Nfc menu is available but nothing happens when I activate it

And u did try the nfc fix? U should have somewhere that folder he speaks of. By me it was under root data and then the folder. I would check every folder u see in root explorer and click on it until u spot the folder u either delete or rename that one folder like in the video.

I flashed the latest CM10.1 nighly (20130603-NIGHLY-YUGA), and after that NFC no longer works. I can check the NFC setting, but it never activates. I'm currently not rooted so the suggested video is of no use. Any other ideas on how to resolve this issue?

NFC is still there, it just doesn't turn on...
I wound up switching to a hybrid ROM but thank you, anyway.

I have this rom for two weeks.
Really smooth, the battery life is good (about one day and a half) and there is no major bugs. I think it is the best rom for razr i, i tried Pi Llama & Omar's rom and on the both, there were majors bugs (sms, lags).
On the JELLYAOSP, everything runs fine

Best performance and stability
I´m using JellyAOSP and she looks very stable and the look is very similar to AOSP. The aplications that don´t work on Pillama (Netflix on my case) works well in JellyAOSP. That is the prefered ROM for me. I´m very satisfied with she.

Does the phone needs to be rooted or the bootload unlocked to install that rom?
I am new on the forum, and i don't have much knowledge about installing new rom's.
I'll be glad if someone can answer my question, or post a link to any post that can help me.

Have you tried Focal?
It's on beta, but it has HDR!

Going to try it today as I am getting about 10 bootloops/day in omar's.

I don't like the latest version.
The 4.8 version have to many useless features.
The 4.7.1 version is the best.
I tried Pi llama, Omar's Rom and these had so many bugs...particularly with the SMS (i'm in France)
The JellyAOSP is the best for me.

My bootloops stopped with this rom. Thanks a lot!
Just installed the framework 2.0 to match my taste and it works like a charm!

It either is at 600 mhz or 2k... No deep sleep.
Anyone faced similar issues?
