Hi, I'm brazilian and a guy in a brazilian i9070 facebook group claimed that his brand new Galaxy Sii Lite (it's the brazilian name for Galaxy S advance) already came with JB 4.1.2 installed with TIM carrier bloatware and etc, the kernel version is supposed to be I9070VJLPA....Could this be true? SamMobile didn't show anything about it.....
Here's a his video showing the cellphone, it isn't a unboxing!

It can be true or maybe he's lying. And i suppose sammobile is not that fast coz it has all the firmwares Of all Sammy Models. So better wait for a few days. And then only you can conclude abt his statement.

I9070VJLPA means I9070=model, VJ=(i suppose)Vodafon Spain *but i think are wrong letters here, cannot find any of these, L=2013, P=February and A=revision like ours LPY and PLZ (2013-Feb-A and 2013-Feb-Z) or LQ4 and LQB 4 and B are revisions
EDIT: or it's for P version so there are diffrent codes for year and month...

Examples of Brazilian ROMS (TIM)
I9000BVJJW4
S6102BVJLE1
S5830CVJLB3
I9100VJLP7
I9070VJLD1 (This is STOCK 2.3.6 i9070 TIM BRAZIL)
I9070VJLPA (This is supposedly STOCK 4.1.2)
As you can see, the code is a ROM TIM BRAZIL.There is no doubt about that.
Definitely, VJ never means vodafon. Not in Brazil.

Guys I'm going to update my note with ICS 4.0.4
As at now there are two version issued by Samsung. which are XXLRG and DXLR2.
I'm bit confused which one shout be the best.. (I'm not sure is there any differs..
Please give some ideas..
Updating with stock 4.0.4 the difference will usually be the stuff like modems, kernels etc with the rest almost same. Just change the csc based on your location to use kies for further updates(just in case).
Does the new 4.0.4 updated still having the EMMC brick bug ?

Your answer is in this post by programmatix:
"If you are from South East Asia, choose DXLR2, else choose XXLRG. DXLR2 contains keyboards (Swype and Samsung Keyboard) that support languages like Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia and etc.
The cons of choosing DXLR2 are as follow:Contains a lot of junk apps in System\App. However, they won't be installed if the CSC you've choosen doesn't include them.Themes found in XDA might not work and cause boot loop because most themes are made for the "XX" region.
The pros of choosing DXLR2 are:Contains the South East Asia languages. Can be used for warranty claim purposes (for South East Asia users)."

My phone was on LRK but I'm from the UK
Mine was From Italia, i changed to LRK because Germany always gets the updates first (at least for note, or at least the last 3 major updates) and I'm from Venezuela..
I see no point on changing roms to brasil or any south American carrier.. They get the updates months after the official its released...

There is no official jb out yet, we're still waiting. There are leaked source jb roms which are as close to stock as possible like lsa or lsc but they still have bugs.

Btw, official jb is likely to be released soon, like within a month unless Samsung do as they did with ics and run over again, but judging by the leaks, that's doubtful I'd say.

Hi Guys!
When I bought my phone it came with an unbranded (no T-mobile bootanim just the funky Samsung one) firmware.
Played with some roms when I decided to make it full stock again but I am unable to find unbranded firmware, only T-Mobile versions for it...
Can you help me maybe with a link or something?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, the DBT version (for Germany) is 100% unbranded and works fine. Other is NEE (Finland). Those two are tested myself and no branding or bloatware present. No issues with OTA or Kies (well, if you're in Europe).

Yes, I have used this ROM on all my S3's and no issues at all. (Voda,Virgin,Orange).
Use Odin and do hard reset before and after flashing!
If you want a ROM which is pretty much close to stock, you could have a look at "The Galaxy Project": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2125984
It's based on the official Samsung ROMs (not AOSP/CM etc), it looks like the stock ROM, and the only difference is some minor tweaking, completely unbranded, and bloat removal. It's completely international (Europe, Oceania etc) and uses the most current Firmware (4.1.2 XXBMR8).
By the way, here's another location for untouched Firmwares:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305
No login needed which is helpful.
Hi,
I did buy a Note from eBay and turns out it is the korean version SHV-E160S. It was prerooted too Asked seller about this and he told me to make it work in my region (Norway) and to change language.
It is running android 4.0.4 and it has 32 GB onboard storage.
I know that android 4.1.2 was released for SHV-E160S in 2013 after googling. But nothing found from Sammobile to dowload. Many korean sites that i don't understand.
Any one could give me a link to stock 4.1.2 ? Would be thankful.
Can I use mobile odin to update from 4.0 to 4.1? Or it will brick the device?
Thank you
