Noob help

Apparently when it comes to rooting, flashing, etc I know enough to wreak havoc. This is my first attempt at rooting and flashing a new rom. I decided to experiment with my old g1 before doing it with my vibrant. What I have managed to do is make it not work. I was following the guide to flash cm 6. I updated the radio, then put danger spl on, that was the easy part. Through this entire process when I power+home I'd get the triangle ! and would need to press alt+L to see my options. When I would try to update the rom I would get "can't find update script" and the installation would fail. Now my G1 just hangs at the t-mobile G1 screen. I can get into my fastboot and recovery screen so I know I'm not completely toast. I have installed android sdk on my computer and updated the drivers, in device manager it recognizes my "android phone" but when I go into adb or fastboot my device is not recognized. I'm lost and not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need a custom recovery image.
See this post and follow instructions for fastboot.

I tried to follow that, but fastboot doesn't recognize my device.
Just to clarify the "fastboot devices (to make sure that fastboot "sees" your device)" this would be from the cmd prompt correct?
Any ideas? Anyone?

[Q] HELP with unlocking please

So I have been trying to install CM 10 on my phone for the first time following the instructions on the website, and after I entered "fastboot -i 0xfce reboot", the blue notification LED was replaced by a red one and my phone is unresponsive. Can somebody help me complete the installation process?

[Q] HELP: Stuck in Fastboot

I recently attempted to return my HTC One to stock ROM and all that fun stuff. I must have made a mistake somewhere along the line because now I'm stuck in fastboot. Phone won't even boot into ROM or Recovery.
Any attempts to use fastboot commands from the prompt just result in failure.
I'm not sure what to do from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've figured it out for the most part. Well on my way to getting my device back to normal.

[Q] xperia z1 won't start up again

hello everyone
i'm a noob in android :3
i was trying to flash cwm recovery on my rooted xperia z1 c6903 in order to flash custom roms
i guess i have miserably failed cause i've bricked my phone
so what exactly was happening is that i was following the website tutorial over here:
"was prevented from sharing the url cause im new here"
and when i wrote "adb reboot bootloader" in command prompt there was an error shown says that "device is offline"
so i found another tutorial in installing adb drives
following steps was easy and everything was perfect after i was done of installing adb files instead of closing the command prompt i wrote the flashing code "adb reboot bootloader" and it started writing
then flashed "adv-stock-v3.img"
then tried to reboot the phone but nothing happened
now i can't seem to start up my phone again and each time i turn it on
a logo appears and a phrase under it says "free xperia" and i get stuck on that
im sorry if i've mixed things up im new to these stuff :/
hope you guys would help me

If anyone still uses an LE2 and is reading this, I need some help

Hello! Yes, I am still using a LeEco LE2 X526 Indian model in December of 2020, and I need your help. I know that not many people might be still using this device and I see that the forums aren't that active, but if anyone is reading this I would really really appreciate it if you helped me out.
So, I'm still on the stock ROM of EUI running on Android 6 and I think it's time for an upgrade to the software. However, all the tutorials I have found online on flashing TWRP and unlocking the bootloader are ~3 years old and I'm worried about following them since I don't want to brick or cause any damage to my device.
Is it still safe to follow these tutorials? Is there a better method to unlock my bootloader and get a recovery so I can flash a custom ROM? Has anything changed? i saw some comments of people having errors and such, and it has left me a bit anxious about meddling with my device.
If anyone could guide me on successfully installing a recovery from scratch and also help me choose a good custom ROM, I'd really really appreciate it! Thanks so much, and Happy New Year in advance .

- Enter the following command: "fastboot oem unlock-go" the Bootloader should be unlocked.
- Download the TWRP recovery
TWRP for Le 2
(choose latest)
- Enter the following command: "fastboot flash recovery" next to recovery drag the img file you downloaded and press enter.
Twrp should be installed now
- Enter the following command: "fastboot reboot" by pressing the volume button up to enter Recovery mode
- Ready, you should be able to install Roms and modifications on your phone.
You should try the Roms to see which one you like of all
