Hi. I am trying to unlock my daughter's i9000 and update the ROM. She is currently running a custom 2.3.3 ROM and is using Galaxy_S Unlock from the Play Store to unlock.
I have been reading up on Galaxy_S Unlock after upgrading her phone to LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 and finding out that Galaxy_S Unlock doesn't work.
I've found out that, apparently, Galaxy_S Unlock only works up to 4.1.2.
Can anyone confirm this?
If so, can anyone recommend a good, stable ROM for general use?

I have my unlock code from 2.1 "just in case," is it fine to use in Froyo? Because I thought I heard Samsung was patching the exploit to get free unlock codes, but I already have mine.
I am currently using Continuum 5.5 by icezar which is based on the 2.3.3 code released by Samsung for the European Galaxy S. I was wondering how I would be able to unlock the network/sim (use it in europe w/o being raped by ridiculous long distance rates). Is there any way to do this?

use SGS tools from the market and go to secret codes>from there it is in the top half, when the results come up, look for network lock [off]

So i wanted to ask if i flash a rom on it like miui or darky....will flashing any rom sim lock my sgs>
I think the cell phone will not lock because you did not flash to unlock it you entered key...

I just rooted and unlocked my samsumg captivate using the Galaxy_S Unlock tool by Helroz. My phone is currently on official 2.3 and unlocked. I wanted to install a custom rom such as dark night but was wondering if I will lose my unlock and if so can i still use the Galaxy_S Unlock tool to re-unlock it?
Last, what is the most stable custom ICS rom available. Thanks!
Once unlocked its unlocked for ever what ever ROM u flash it will not effect it.
