On the stock music player, there is a karaoke button, I don get the lyrics when I press it, the lyrics option is ticked in the setting. Any ideas on how to get the lyrics?

Its not exactly a "karaoke" button, its the button next to the 3 dots, the button with a musical note.

Its really annoying how i can't make my own playlist with JUST my phone. Is there anyway to make my HTC HD7 play one song and STOP because i tend to listen to music when i sleep and its annoying how i have to keep turning it off. Is there a way i can make my HTC play 1 or 2 songs and just stop because the music runs through the whole night which isn't great

You can indeed make your own playlist within the phone, BUT you can't save them. I'm glad you brought this up because I have found a loop-hole for this. It's a little confusing so bare with me!
1. Launch Zune Hub.
2. Select "Music" (the word not the play button).
3. Swipe over until your collection is sorted by songs.
4. Long press a song and select "pin to start".
5. Press the home button to return to the start screen.
6. Scroll down to find the song you've just pinned.
7. Press on the song to start playing it.
8. The song starts playing. Press the home button (or back) to return home.
9. The song should still be playing. Launch Zune hub again.
10. Select "Music" again.
11. Swipe to sort collection by song again.
12. Long press the desired song and select "add to now playing".
13. Press the back button.
14. You should now be at the history section where it displays the song currently playing.
15. Press on the song to get to the "now playing" section.
16. Note that there are only the songs that you just added.
17. Long press as many songs as you wish and select "add to now playing" to add them to the queue.
Here is what I was talking about with the loop hole:
If you would have selected a song to play without pinning it to the home screen, it adds every track on that album to the "now playing" section and there is no way to clear the tracks out of there unless you started to play another song from a different album, in which case you'd find yourself in the same situation; with all the tracks on that album added to the list instead of just that one you selected. You could reboot the phone to clear the list completely or you could just pin a track to the home screen which not only clears the list but also adds that track to the list as well. The only thing is you have to make sure that the song you've pinned to the home screen is a track that you actually want in the list.
It seems as though this is a bug. Hopefully Microsoft adds some sort of "clear now playing" option in future builds and adding one song doesn't add the entire album. Hope this helped!
Yes I know this is farty - The only way to shuffle a list of songs seems to be by selecting >music>songs>shuffle all. This is good but I choose an artist or a genre then list the songs there is no shuffle option. Like I said its farty.
Play anything you want > in the "playing" screen press your album cover > hit the shuffle icon (right)
Edit: to clarify you have to create your playlist first (by clicking the icon left of a genre etc) and when the music starts playing you can enable shuffle as described above
Thank you - can not believe that I never saw that. Might even keep my zune pass now - was getting a little bored listening to song in alphabetical order.

hi everyone ..is there a way to switch music using note earphone while playing music??? if yes plz hlp ..if no plzz create it
search for android headset button reassign or something similar. there are apps in the market you can assign different actions for different buttons and clicks (like double or tripple) with.
There's a free Klipsch app on the market to go with their S4A earphones, however the app seems to work other one button headsets as well.
I'm assuming by switch music, you mean skip tracks. If so, you actually can: it's double click of the play/pause button but your timing has to be dead on (a slow full press then an additional click) which is not ideal but easy to get used to once you discover it. You can adjust the timing and functionality using this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.kober.headset&hl=en

I'm not sure if he's asking about changing music with the headset controller or the note's volume button (when the headset doesn't have a controller).
Is there an app for the 2nd option?
