So I've been trying to charge this sucker for more than 6 hrs, and it's going up 1% like every half hour of charging, this can not be normal.
I was in the phone doing minor things while charging but that can't be this bad can it?
Anyone have feedback to improve the charge time??

I was using the phone this morning while charging and in a little over an hour it had gone from 24% to 29%. So yeah, it's a slow charger
Sad to hear. I'm getting this phone next week. I was hoping it charged fast like my xperia ion, which takes 2 hours to charge
There must be something wrong with your charging port. Remove battery and sim card and then insert it back and try it should probably work or else please take it to HTC service center.

Am I the only one whose been getting good charging? I was down to 30%, charged it back to 100% in about 4 hrs? What is everyone using to charge? I used the given charger and wall outlet.
My charging time is decent too, charges from 15 to to 100 in 3.5-4 hours.

^^^+10000^^^^ why do these forums have a bunch of S3 owners talking about their S3's? I understand the occasional comaprison between what you're using and what you want but this is not the same.
It's simple. They like to troll. Anyway, back on topic, I think Anandtech mentioned that the qualcomm fast charge was disabled possibly due to fears of reducing the lifespan of the battery itself. Therefore= longer life, but slow recharge.
well mine took 2-3 hours from 5 to 100
Here it is after literally being on charge for about 10 hrs!
Wtf
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Count me in on the 5-100 in about 3hours group. Using the oem charger from an old EVO3D. Maybe you guys just got some duds. Try using different charger. Maybe you'll get lucky and its just the charger that's messed up and not the battery on the phone....
It has to be the charger that comes with the phone.... I charged mine from 10% to 100% in 3 hrs with a Gen andru .

well look at the usage, its literally always on while the phones trying to charge, youre either using it too heavily or somethings running heavily in the background

how long you have left it on the charger?
just connect a charger to a phone, and leave it for a while, it will wake up...
I charge it overnight, no use, its weird, maybe I'll send to service center.

It's really a pity that the batteries just last 9-10 months. Mine seemed perfectly OK but then the note wouldn't get very far past the samsung logo, messed up the /system and /data partitions. Just had a replacement genuine battery, but will be very pissed if in october it will once again be broken. Maybe it has something to do with charging with more than 1A chargers? In my car I use a 2A charger, at home it is the 1A charger that came with the phone.

I personally have always used stock charger until i had to move in with a friend and started using his non standard, i noticed a big difference in full charge times, went back to stock immediately.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
it is why they advise in manual to use original chargers only.
It could also be your not adopting battery best practices from manual. Maybe to many charge/recharge cycles?
You can also be unlucky.
Same problem here .. battery lasts in 12h
Maybe it's a JB leak issue I don't know

Im a flashaholic with heavy usage, also my note is 7months old now. Ive done calibrations and crap but i can only get around 20hrs from my battery (8-10 of them are when im asleep)
come payday im gonna buy an extended one, but one that wont need an adapted back case.

People really should stop spreading that full initial charge BS seriously, it's 2013!
Unless you buying an electric power drill with a nickel cadmium or nickel metal-hydride battery, there's NO reason to top it off before using it or to charge for 8 hours! You're not prolonging the life of your battery nor are you preventing a memory effect by fully charging it.

I had buggy touch bug but it was loooooong time ago. It was loking like that :
When have opened app drawer or any app it started running and i always end at homescreen when i was trying to do something on my phone while battery was charging.
But i cant remember how and when this problem was gone but i can said this :
One day touch was buggy and in second it was OK (not buggy)
If this problem will exist very long go to service. May your microusb port is touching LCD. And when you connect charger LCD feels power as a touch and starts bugging.
Sent from my GT-I9070P using xda app-developers app
It exists in battery. I charged with a non-original charger (or it was a blackberry charger lol i don't remember exactly) and battery damaged. Then I switched another original battery and never used non-original charger, now it's okay. Changing voltages probably won't help, I recommend you to take a samsung charger and samsung 1500mAh battery then you can play with voltages too.
Thanks all at first.
But guys. A new batery here is R$130 ($60). I have already bought one new 2 months ago.
Cant a just make my batery get used to the original charger voltage?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you buy it only for 2 months ago, then you still have warranty and must return to seller for change it.
Correct?
Powered by CM10.2
Indeed. So i tell them that my phone batery has got addicted to another voltage then the original samsung charger?
I will do that. But for those that doesnt have warranty and are running out of money, is tjere something they can do?

Hello. I come from a Samsung galaxy s3 and so I'm used to that every year or so I'll just change my battery, but here's that's not the case. So I'm asking the previous owners of HTC one and well people who know about batterys, what's the best way to make your battery last the longest as possible?
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It matters on how much you use the phone. I have a spare charger at work and one in my car. I usually get around 8 to 10 hours on a full charge.
