(Share)4.2 camera. - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Plz test this 4.2 camera. It doesn't work on mine as I'm on stock rom. Maybe it'll work on custom rom.

I'm looking for the best rom for my n1,I'm currently running cm7.2 but I want something faster and possibly better.please help. Thanks in advance

Try an ICS ROM, BCM, Evervolv or MIUI. All working well. Video capture is about the only thing not working right.
Or try MIUI Gingerbread. Or one of the many Sense ROMs.
You really need to try them out for yourself.
But really CM7 is up there with the best.

Flashlight Issues.

Flashlight only works on first use after reboot. After that it won't work again until I reboot.
Also not working properly with camera. Sometimes lights subject but never flashes with shutter.
Anyone any suggestions?

What is your ROM??
Besides, most recommend this flashlight: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&hl=pl
CM 7.2 running firekernel.
Issues were present before flashing these though.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Btw recommended app does exactly the same. Only works once after a reboot.

i'm runing [ROM][STOCK 2.3.6] StockRom EVOLUTION [09-05-2013] UPDATE VERSION 1.5
@OP: Reflash the rom.
@angelo229: Stock ROM evolution is stock based & all the stock based ROMs have this problem because of the bug in lidroid.

any more ideas?
I posted this over a year ago. Never found a fix in that time. Was on 4.2 AOKP in the end.
Can you try a stock ROM and see if flashlight is fixed?
I no longer use this phone BTW.

And what you heard is true. Using custom rom and kernel may reduce the lags/delays that you're experiencing. However, it's not gonna be without any delays. As I stated there, reduce. :good:
For the rom/kernel
Stock based rom suggestion: HarshJelly, Pure Vanilla.
Stock kernel suggestion: Cocore-E
*CM based rom (they come with their own kernel): Cm10, MIUI v4, Cm 10.1, Pac-Man 23.0x
*Note that all cm based roms are really fast and there'sno delay in dialer, contacts, etc but they're are still in beta phase. This means bugs are present here and there and if you can live with it, then do try them.
Please read all the details in their respective threads which can be found in original android development section and android development section.
Hope this helps.

Root phone.
Install CoCore-E, Harsh build. (Unzip it, use kernel.bin.md5 with Universal Kernel flasher, and you will need some root explorer like ES file explorer to use file with Universal kernel flasher.
Install NoFrill CPU, put PegasusQ as governor, and SIO as shcaduler
Install PurePerformances™X. Install zip from recovery.
I think this was pretty clear and understanding.
Please, do use the search tool and do some reading.

Both have its pros and cons. I'm using stock based now. But I really like cm based because it's very fast. You can try MIUI rom based on cm. The thread is in dev section. I personally still prefers cocore 6.2. Tried cocore 7.0 but then I switched back to 6.2.

Yup just as shut_down says, cocore 6.8 is okay but to me 6.2 works better. Cwm or twrp and cocore version is all personal preference matter. I'm using cwm btw.
