Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to ask:
Does anyone know of an app that can allow the user to record audio overlays/layers, e.g. record a soprano singer, then later add to that a bass singer, etc?
TIA!
Sounds like you're looking for a multi track recorder.
I use this one:

I've had an app like this but it's not what I need. I'd like an app that you can record music. One where you can input a mp3 instrumental. Playback the mp3 and record over and be able to make it one file. pretty much a mobil studio. Auto tune would be cool but not sure if possible anyone wanna try

Mic would distort the input. And you'd have to edit and fine tune through a crappy speaker. It's a useful app idea if you could get the microusb to work as a direct audio in for an instrument cause usb mics are horrid. Then use hq headphones for playback. Might as well carry a laptop, if youre gonna carry all that stuff.

I found that the mic that's with the headset that comes with the phone works better than using the phone plus I could use them for playback

The media API in Android sucks. They are revamping it for Gingerbread.
Hey so I remember a while ago that there was supposedly an equalizer on gingerbread....Correct me if I'm wrong please.

There is one (DSP) in CM7.
No I mean its meant to be a stock equalizer built into the operating system

Buy decent headphones?
I think there won't be any equalizer.. well.. you can use apps like PowerAMP. Its a music player with a good equalizer.
Hey y'all, I was just thinking like maybe would it be possible to infuse the 'recommendations' genius-like feature into the default music player on aospGB? and if we could make a pop-up bubble so if we hit 'home' twice fast it would come up with easier access to the music controls?
Is this possible and is anyone interested? I hate mixzing extraordinarily, but the 'recommendations' playlist is awesome.
Comment and share your opinion please! Thanks y'all!!

Playing music files according to folder location is one way to avoid playing sounds you don't want to hear. It will only play music files inside the selected folder/s.
I use MIUI player from one of the ROMS on our I9001 section. It filters them away by first start and use..
Could just replace your system tones ie.. sms and ringtones to .ogg files using Format factory application HERE
And put them in system/media and which ever folder you wish ringtones etc.. and reboot phone
thats what i did and now music player doesnt play my tones

Well some weeks ago, I asked help about reverb and someone helped me with viper
now I'm searching for a music player that can show lyrics(like Sammy one does)
Since Sammy's player doesn't mantain the gapless playback and I will (when it will be ready) migrate to cm
Someone know a player that can show lyrics?
You can try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.musixmatch.android.lyrify . Im using it with poweramp and it does the trick.
