Anyone figure out how to set multiple-screen wallpapers? It always get defaulted to a single-screen wallpaper, I'm assuming due to sense. This is even on Apex

I'm sure is because sense, it was the same way in my EVO 3D. I don't think you can change that unless you change the launcher.. BTW way I like your murder or the crows avatar, I'm playing my second run in 1999 mode.

Yes best game I have played in years, great art details, good game play and excellent story line that keep you asking for more. Definitely the best first person shooter I have played ever.

Are any wall paper developers trying to make custome live wallpapers for ManUp's 2.1 Rom? It already has the live cub wallpaper running on it perfectly. If not, Now would be a good time to start. Its the begining of a new way of building beautifull wallpapers that u can actually bring to life. Now that's Insanely cool If that's a word?.........lol

Where do you see that someone has it working with 2.1? I only see them getting it to work with 2.0.1.
Does anybody have or is there a way we can get the live wallpaper from the Nexus? I want the grey screen that has the colored blocks that move up and down.

theres one in market called starfield
http://uk.androlib.com/android.application.com-discoverdroid-starfield-pDCp.aspx
or type "live wallpaper" in market for more like duck hunt where you shoot ducks
I bought the blobs live wallpaper, I actually find it quite nice (looks some what like a concert laser) also seems less stressful than the star field.
Id say its worth the $1.26 (.99 pounds)
I bought Rainbow and Bokeh. Might just be in my head, but Rainbow seems to be the smoothest running LWP on my G1 in terms of causing lagginess. Bokeh seems to eat up more memory or something because switching homescreens gets pretty choppy.
If you've installed a new launcher, you may find the same thing I did: it's pretty much impossible to get an image to not distort when used for wallpaper. I messed with this for hours.
Then I discovered the app Wallpaper Set and Save. It runs on the NC, and it does one thing: set wallpaper so it's not distorted. Perfect.
Can you post the apk?

Sure. Here 'tis.
Dolphin 4 set the wallpaper for me from an internet picture just fine, FYI.
This is only a work around though. I want undone whatever it was the launcher pro did or im going to flash my nook and start over.
I'd guess that Launcher Pro just undid whatever hackery B&N did to their rom to correct the natively terrible way android handles desktop images. This app just rehacks it.
Same issue
I had the same problem but what I did was just set launcher pro to show 1 col by 1 row then after the resize went back to 10 col by 10 rows. First pop-up the settings menu with the tiny little menu button between the battery and "U" buttons in the soft menu. Rows and columns are set in preferences>Homescreen settings.
Note this just got my icons back on screen but the wallpaper is still oversized.
Would a subforum for people who want to be LendMe friends be a good idea?
Or would it be better off here?
I think it would work out very well to separate the conversation so people can find people they want to lend books between. It didn't occur to me before for XDA because most of the forums have to do with phones that dont have this sort of social feature
just a thought

A very good thought. We just have to find Nookers who share similar interests. Its own thread would be a good idea.

I'm certain a whole new website/forum will crop up with people willing to lend books to one another. The great thing about lending through the Nook is that you know you'll get your book back! (That is until someone figures out how to hack it to keep the book )

When I use the app, the wallpapers end up super-pixellated.
Any other hackery to get the wallpaper issues fixed?

I remember a thread on here a while ago where people were theming to get the Windows Phone 7 look. There's now a launcher on the market called Launcher 7 that does most of the work for you, you should check it out.

Just tried it out. Its very smooth, and its the best one I have come across.
im enjoying this launcher, its really smooth.

Definitely. If there's one thing that I'd like to see more of on the Market, it's more "alternative" launchers like this. Launcher Pro, ADW, Go, etc. all have their differences, but they're more or less the same in that they're all plays off of the whole multiple homescreen and a dock thing. It's nice to see new ideas out there. I remember a while back there was a launcher that showed all of your texts, email, facebook notifications, etc. in kind of an agenda view. It never really took off, but it's good to see devs think outside the box about the homescreen.

Because thats the core of how android to this point is intended to work. I like Launcher7, its fast, smooth and functional so I play with it here and there but the tile UI is comparatively bland and boring even with widget support (and the custom ones I've seen that arent bland and boring are WAY too busy). I'm gonna put it on my wifes phone since she'll love the big ass simple tiles concept.

without using custom images those 2x1 and 1x1 tiles (and the headphone/camera images) are all there is. I'm not going to spend anytime importing images because I like my android phone as an android phone and it wont get any use anyway. I was basically showing how the UI looks unmolested.
Guys,
There is a great app called 'wallpaper wizardrii' in the market for free. It will allow you to set your own wallpaper in its native format and not stretch it across all the screens. Not for everyone but maybe some people would like the option.
Happy Friday!
Thanks! This is exactly what I've been looking for!
Downloading now. Thanks.
thanks this is a great app
tried it on my xoom and it just FCs when applying a wallpaper
Nice app thanks for the heads up
Slow, buggy, and the UI absolutely sucks, though if you mess around with it for long enough, you can get a wallpaper to stay.
Oh, also I think it just crashed my laucherpro.
Not worth it unless it gets updated, fixed, or nuked from orbit.

I would try an unibstall and a fresh install followed by a reboot. Works great on my tbolt.
I'm using it with adw ex and its flawless....
Anyone know where I can get this wallpaper? I really like it.

I believe it is a live wallpaper. I would like it as well. I don't think it was included in the system dump though. Someone could correct me if I'm wrong.
if the skies the limit, where's the urgency?
Yeah, it's live.
I'd be fine with a static version if someone could just photoshop the stuff ontop of the wallpaper, etc.
Would that be feasible?
How's this? I totally forgot where I found this, but I'm using it with Intel's ICS Launcher, and it's pretty nice. I'm working through the sdk now, so if I manage to get the live wallpaper to work, I'll post that as well.

If you do, that'd be awesome! Then we could try to get the new youtube, launcher2, and more to work xP. But one step at a time lol.

It's a Galaxy S2 wallpaper. (actually I'm not 100% it's gs2, but it's definitely a default wp from one of the latest phones lol)
Here's a better quality one.
You know what, I think you might be right. I think it's actually from the Nexus S…my fault. It looked kinda close to being a static image of the live wallpaper they used last night (granted I didn't get a great look at it), so I figured I'd share. The sdk dump has very little of value in it, other than for development purposes, but I'll download the Galaxy Nexus dump tomorrow, and see what I can find.
