Has anyone noticed that the chrome browser on the n7 is not as smooth as the chrome browser on the n4? Fortunately for me I have the AOSP browser and use that instead. Its just too bad because I really wanna use chrome as my default browser on my n7.

I think because nexus 7 uses desktop client instead of mobile client on nexus 4. That's why it's slow.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I don't know why people find Chrome on various devices laggy. It's never been laggy with me, sans the early beta builds.
And NO, Chrome on tablets do not use desktop client, it uses a different layout.

Chrome works fine for me too, no I don't run stock rom

Agreed on Chrome not being as smooth as AOKP. I notice it the most when scrolling down the pages. I've found Dolphin Beta to be on par with AOSP browser.

I run stock on my Nexus 7, and AOKP on my GNex, and they're both pretty smooth.

Stock feels so solid and reliable.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It does the job. I only use it to look up some stuff once or twice a day, and for that it works fine.
And this is why I am using AOSP browser
It seems to work good for me unless I'm on a site with a lot of pics... ie thechive.com. Aosp browser never has problems tho.

Chrome only works on ICS. Opera works in both gb and ICS.
Chrome is extremely fast, but in beta stage so it has some bugs. But nothing major.
Opera has loads of functions and works very well but is meant for really good data connections..

I tried both of them and they seem to be the same...
"ICS Browser +" has got the stock android AOSP design.
"Internet" is the Samsung Touchwiz version of the stock ICS Browser (and got some annoying bugs.....in my opinion)
So the "ICS Browser+" is better in my opinion
Nothing beats Dolphin browser with its lastpass plugin for me

Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
Yes, its for devices with Android 4.0+ and for ARMv7. It means even if you have ICS, still it won't be supported.
But, if you want a Chrome like interface. Refer this post :

You will not find Google Chrome to the Galaxy Mini, but it is already Firefox Nightly!

Dolphin browser just released an update that doesn't support flash anymore, anyway around this? Thanks
You could always just sideload the old APK
I don't really even need dolphin now that I have the stock browser, it even plays flash

I was using chrome from day one. Ended up using the stock internet browser to watch a flash video. It was much faster. Has anyone else experienced this as well?

I've been using chrome since it syncs with my pc. I've been thinking about switching to stock for the flash support, but iono, I'm so used to chrome
Yeah chrome has been my go to browser since day one as well. Stock browser seems really nice, but I just love chrome too much. Maybe I'll rotate them... But probably not.

Chrome as well, PC Sync makes it the clear winner in the Browser category for me.

There are many things like this the stock browser does better than chrome including flash.

How were you able to get flash working. Tried watching a flash video today using the stock browser and it kept telling me I needed flash installed
Edit:
Yup just I installed the latest flash version from the thread and nothing

Chrome, verry nice look, clean interface, fast and reliable sync.
An excelent browser!
disabled Chrome, don't like it, never have. I am currently using One Browser, very quick.
I really want to use Chrome, but I prefer the Android stock browser's tab management better, specifically that the browser closes when you close the last open tab. If this can be done in Chrome, I've never seen the option to do it.

Maxthon browser for me, it's fast in areas where I have bad data. And I always have bad data.
Chrome and the stock Internet browser are good for quick things.. But even telling it to give you the desktop site, it typically doesn't.
Everyone do yourselves a favor and try opera on this thing.

Long story short, basically all my widgets freeze and don't respond to touch and don't update.
Everything comes back for a few minutes if I kill the launcher and then they all freeze again.

Have you tried booting to recovery and wiping cache partition? That'd be my first recommendation.
Yeah that was the first thing I tried. I did some googling and apparently it's an issue across a wide variety of phones and Android versions.
