Just like 10 minutes ago my play store icon disappeared from the homescreen and also from the app drawer, but the apps is still listed into the all apps tab in settings->apps.
What can I do? (I have installed the play store V 4.0.25 from a file which I found on this forum yesterday).
It's open in background, will this help?
Thanks in advance

Uninstal updates.
Go settings- apps- all tab- remove updates.
Restart your phone, then open the play store, it will update to the latest version.
See if it helps.
I did it but the play store icon is still not displayed...

What you can try doing is downloading the updated play store app from our lovely forum, will provide a link in a minute.
Edit: Here it is - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228951 If that doesn't fix it, I will pull the old app which you can then reinstall, hopefully.
Delete data, cache and after that unistall Google Play
Now extract Google Play for your rom.zip(For example revolution rom o other) from system/app and put on your system/app with permissons: 644
Sorry for my bad english S:
I found another way to open the play store (with SystemCleanup)... I'll use it until I can use my pc (I can't use it right now and the rom is in it). Thanks everyone
For who wants to know how I start the Play Store from SystemCleanup:
1) downloaded SystemCleanup
2) search Google Play Store in the apps list
3) tap it for a bit and then Launch app

I have a GT and 5 minutes ago i tried to launch Market Place to see if i have any updates, and then, when i reached the Applications Section which it show which applications i have on my Tablet it shows me only Youtube and Google Maps, i have a lot of games and applications installed but only Google Maps and Youtube application show me the Market! I'm using stock version of Froyo!
If I'm understanding right, it doesn't show all the apps you've downloaded and installed, just some? I have that issue sometimes too, and I just fix it by turning my tab off and on again, and the list rebuilds.. If this isn't what you meant, I'm sorry. I hope it is, and it helps.
Right, the market isnt always right, but a reboot helps many things.
You pull out the sd card lately? If yes, try download an aplication who is allready in your tab and the problem will gone.

And something else, before I post here yesterday I did about 3 or 4 times restart and again I had the same problem, but when I downloaded the new application the list came back again! Thanks for yor answers people!

I just downloaded and installed newsest version 3.7.13 Market Google for my MZ601. Every seems work fine except app icons does not show. I try to Wipe Catch, Dalvik Catch restart several times, reinstall app again (with same version above) clean Catch itsefl too,... but problem still there. Market app icons not show just avatar android icon show relate it.
Please help me fix this!
Well, that's quite a weird problem ;p, but let me see better your situation:
- is your internet fast? Because if you are on a slow net it can take a while to show the icons.
- did you try uninstall the updates? Many people reported working good after that.
- if none of above resolves, please explain better what is happening.

try clearing play store data from menu settings applications manage applications or unistall updates and then let the play store update by itself happened to me on both tablet and phone but worked after doing this, let me know if that helped you
Thanks all reply to help me. The simple things to solve this explorer by myself by go to data/app and rename file
com.android.vending-2.apk to com.android.vending-1.apk and delete catch this app and restart service Play Google again. Fixed.

Hi!
Early times, when FroYo was on our devices there was a way to browse your paid apps on your Android Market. Name have change and now this Play market do not support it. Even this very new version, what we got.
Am I so stupid that I cannot find my way to search or browse my already paid apps or how you solve this? There would be a opportunity for 3rd part application for this. And best place to give hint is just here, on XDA Developers forum.
Or just give me a link to this app(s), what you have already found.
Uh, I came fast back to write more info. There seems to huge threads about asking lost or missing paid apps when installed a custom ROM. No no, this is not my problem. I can see my paid apps, but there is no search button or value/ string on the list what Google Android Play market order.
Isnt that just:
Open play store > Press menu button > My apps?
Google Android Play market | search for paid apps?!

In my case it shows just the apps, what I have installed to my phone.
I am looking a way how to search my paid apps on Google Play market. Or an app, what can do the same.
If you mean above PC browser case, then I get huge numbers of apps. First are apps currently installed on my phone. It means the Android OS or firmware version what I am currently using. Below - early firmwares - is the list of all apps what I have tryed, uninstalled etc. and the list is so huge that in my case it could show only start from A to letter E only. So, if my paid app start with letter F - Z, I cannot see anymore it. And browsing between A to E is terrible story too.
If Google Play market have similar value like File Managers have: name, day, type, size etc. it could easy to find your paid apps. Or a search manager or similar.
The Play Market is just crap when it comes to things like this. Several major tech sites have commented upon it, but Google seems to have no intention whatsoever to fix it.

Now, swipe screen left.
In Gmail usually they will send the Google Play receipt #s of all the purchases you made.

I think you do not know what you are about talking. Your guide just show what apps you have installed on your phone: freeware, shareware, n day trial and PAID apps. I am talking PAID apps. And the only place you can find them is here: https://wallet.google.com/manage/#transactions
Try first and reply after if you don't believe me.
Good day
I bought this phone 3 months ago, and this just happened awhile ago. My Google Play Store won't open. I have the version 4.1.10 installed.

I have tried clearing out the cache and data of my Google Play Store but no luck. I haven't tried it to reboot though.
I've read somewhere that I need to update my Google Play Store? If so, what's the latest version? Thank you!
Your on 4.1.10 that's the latest version I think, Google Play updates itself when newer version's are out. Here try this last version for JB 4.1.2. http://d-h.st/DxV. this is Google Play 4.1.6

Try some of these tips.
Clear dalvik-cache and reboot (doesn't have to be all of the dalvik-cache, you can just delete "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected]" and "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected] ").Clear the Play Store's data and reboot.Clear Google Services Framework's data and reboot.Delete PS and GSF's ODEX files ("/system/app/Phonesky.odex" and "/system/GoogleServicesFramework.odex") and reboot.Uninstall updates either via Settings->Applications (or whatever it's called in the Android version on your phone/tablet) or manually delete "/data/app/com.android.vending.apk" and "/data/app/com.google.android.gsf.apk" and reboot.Delete your Google account from your phone/tablet, readd it, and reboot.Edit: I forgot to include clearing GSF's data.

Did you get Google Play to work at all after using them tips above. Some find deleting your Google account, reboot phone then relogin again helps.

Yes, I cleared the data off my Google Play Store and restarted the phone. It is working now!
Thank you!
Also one of the possible reasons why it is not working is brcause they were running a maintenance in the time when it was night in the us and day in the rest of the world.
