hi XZ owners !:highfive:
the Z has 16GB rom but now almost all games have a large data size (nova 3, asphalt 7, NFS:MW ....etc)
i was just wondering if we can change only the data directory and not swap internal with external storage ...
i bought a 32GB sd card and i cant use it!
Try foldermount - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122
Note - It requires root and I haven't tried it myself

All apps that will allow you to store game data of SD card will recquire root access. Here is yet another one for gameloft games:

thanks for replying
i'll try both apps

Hey note owners
OK so recently i bought a 16 gig micro SD card to expand the space on my note and i finally got it today and so i got a couple games with big data up to 500 MB to 1 GB. so i was wondering how to move the games to the SD, i mean i know there is an option in settings to move to SD but it only moves the game file to SD, i want to move the SD data to it too.
i tried manually moving the SD data to the exact same folder it was in the internal storage to the SD but when i open the game it asks me to download the SD data
so how do i move like everything from the game to the SD data to the SD card
is there an app for it???
Do you tried "App2SD" (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&hl=de)
Yes I tried it does the same, I want to move the sd data to sd card too!

You seem to be doing better than me. I got my new 32gb SD today and I've tried moving apps to SD (with apps to SD app) and it just moves them to the internal SD rather than my 32gb one. I really don't understand why they designed it to work this way
Their must be a way to move apps and their data to the external SD

I always choose to install application in device, it has huge ROM 2gb, i think enough to hold app. At presently i have 170 user application + stock still 700mb used, because big data n library by default saves to internal memory card.
And internal memory card hav better read/write capacity thn ext memory card, so it wont causing lag in running application. Ext card useful for titanium backup storage, ebook collwction, music, video, pictures etc.

This is true but its a class 10 card so quite fast and it would be nice to have the option. Especially when apps are getting so much bigger, i just installed gta3 and that's 500+MB!

Have not tried this on note yet as its got plenty of space. But on galaxy ace I have 16 gb class 10 sd card. I have created ext 4 partition on the card using clockwork recovery. I use Link2Sd to transfer apps to the sd card. I guess Link2SD needs init.d script support.
ok I figured out with trial and error that you cannot move the app data cannot be moved out but its fine with the new sd card I just moved every thing media vise like music, videos and pictures to the memory card and now I got a bout 9 gig out of 11 gigs on the internal storage and 5 gigs out of 14 on the external card, so now since I added all my songs to my phone I only need my phone for music when I go out and not carry my iPod but any ways I hope you guys enjoy your phone as much as I do!

I got xperia Z with 16 GB of internal Memory. I have downloaded 6 games like Dark khight rises, Amazing Spider man, Max payne Back stab. These games has already occured 90 % of the internal Memory and i want to install More games like Wild blood, Modern combat etc ( games with more than 1 GB sd data).
I purcased 32 GB of memory card and tried moving the the gmes data to external Memory. But the respective games doesnt work after moving.
Please help how can i play games installing the Games in External memory.
Install app2sd it allows you to move apps to the sd

app2sd doesn't work on xz
I installed app2sd and it didn't work, subsequently read a thread that said it's because of the way sony configured the internal memory, not a problem with the app.
You can change where music, downloads, video and photos are saved, from internal card to external card, via various settings.
But I think you'll find apps have to be installed to the internal card and run from there.
Unless one of the talented xda developers has already created a mod to overcome the problem
EDIT
. . . hey presto, solution here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239289 courtesy of KYRIE1965
Searched the forum and did not see anything directly for Nook HD/+ or CM so im here...
I would like to move some programs (more so games) to a SD Card and just pop the card in when i want to play the games.
Is this possible ?
Would this work for "fast paced" graphic games like race car games (reading off SD card) ?
Could i use symlinks form the games org install location and point them to the SD Card ?
_
I wouldn't mind knowing about this either, I have titanium backups which usually has an option to move things to SD and there isn't any option for the Nook.
About the question for racing games, I doubt there would be any issue as I've had all my games installed to SD on my old Evo 3D and I never noticed a degradation in game play. Perhaps slightly longer load times, but I can't say I noticed any.

I use GL to SD to move game data to the SD card, and it works for most games just fine. I have a 32GB Sandisk Ultra, and I am running CM 10.2.
Hello friens. As we know nook hd has 8 or 16 gigs which is not sufficient to install many apps and heavy games. Let us consider 8 gig nook hd and if you want to install Modern Combat 4 (2 gb) and Asphalt 8(1.5 gb) , Call of duty or Gangster Vegas(2gb). You cannot all at once.
So you can download xposed module named as 'obb to sd' and install it. It requires cyanogenmod installed and you can download it via xposed installer. There are several post on xda about xposed module and how to install it. Now you can copy obb files of games from android/obb of internal mmc to external mmc.
So guys this works with obb files not data file so app cannot be moved but heavy games can be moved. Need for speed most wanted does not work, real racing and other EA games dont have obb instead data so these games are exception.. Fifa 15 , Modern Combact 5 works fine.
You can use Link2SD to move apps. Read the instructions on how to use it carefully.
hi guys.... i bought note 5 32gb .... but this is horrible without microSD....
yes i know we can save our images and videos on wireless Hard drive and cloud storage....but what about applications and games... can i some how change location of my apps and games data; like we used to do in sd cards?
what about changing a destination of camera saving directory?:crying:
thanks a lot
Honestly, I would root the device, install a custom rom. Take out all bloat ware and save all pics and music to a cloud based storage. Apps and games would be saved to internal memory unless you don't mind carrying around the external sd card.
