Android SDK will get you ADB driver so the phone should be recognized. You can also flash Team Win Recovery and the USB support is working just has to be plugged into the computer upon boot. You can then copy over a ROM and done.
Also ATT or Dev or Tmo version?

This also has the driver faster than SDK http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942 all in one tool kit and will do team win as well

Correct the problem is my downloads are 8 days and I have a very good conection, the HTC servers are getting hammered might be a while like a day for another link or for them to calm down. It's 990 megs. Might be faster to do the all in one tool kit and install drivers and then install team win recovery and then just flash a ROM.

Just make sure you get the HTC One recovery and not the N4.. based on your lack of knowledge, based on your multiple questions, I would hold off a bit though.. as far as I know there isn't a confirmation as to if the recovery from the normal One is compatible with the GE One. I could be wrong though

You don't need to wipe for a recovery. When you get the device and its good to go, go into fastboot and type
"fastboot oem unlock"
Then after you unlock it reboot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset.. then hold off for recovery. Once your unlocked you no longer are required to wipe for anything

Looks like I have root, but it seems like after some time of the phone being on, it loses root access and I have to reboot in order to regain root access. Any ideas?
I have rooted HTC one google edition. I received a new official updated that I installed through twrp, after installation it told me that root access was lost and i could restore it by pressing restore root access option. Since then i cant get past the Google screen. My phone basically gets to Google screen then restarts, gets to Google screen and restarts. I tried factory reset, did not help. What should i do?
If you have a Google Edition rooted phone, it shouldnt have installed the OTA with a custom recovery installed. You'll likely have to use the RUU in the original dev thread. you'll want to backup your sdcard via adb cause the RUU will wipe everything.

what does device manager say?
if it says something like QHUSB_Download mode, you're screwed, get it swapped out
if you can get to the bootloader, you can probably install a recovery again and install a stock 4.2.2 or 4.3 rom and get back up and running.

Learned the hard way.
Your phone is not recognized, because you haven't updated your ADB and Fastboot files on your computer. Once, you do that.. You will need to download hboot 1.44 that gunnyman has in the 4.3 thread via RUU. After that is done find yourself, the RUU from whatever provider your phone is running under.. Ex: Dev or Tmo or ATT etc etc.. That should fix you up. I did this to my device once messing around with it.. But my problem also was with a locked boot loader that had 4 exclamation triangles on each corner.. No boot screen for start up even came up.. Just back to the boot loader of doom.

then all is not lost. you're having either a driver issue or trying to use a usb 3 port or something like that.
boot to recovery
type adb devices
if it gives a number you can sideload a ROM.
download this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390346
it's stock rooted 4.3
sideload it in twrp
start the sideload mode in twrp
type adb sideload then the name of the rom. the rom will push to the phone and then install.

My bootloader is locked and I was trying to bump up to 4.4.4
Problem is I have to flash my kernel manually via fastboot and my computer isn't recognizing my X in fb mode. I've done manual flashes on Windows 8 before but its been a while since flashing and my laptop is up to 8.1 now.
So my questions: Do the fastboot drivers for the X not work properly on 8.1 and if there are new ones where can I get them?
I've already been to the moto site to download the Motorola Device Manager but it still doesn't fix my problem. Without the kernel the phone boots but its all kinds of buggy. Luckily I was able to Nand back to 4.4.2 and everything is stable. If you can help me that would be greatly appreciated... And if not then I'll just have to wait on Sunshine.

I'm pretty sure you can't flash a stock kernel onto a locked bootloader device without using fastboot to do it. I haven't tried it but I'm also not trying to risk it. I was just wondering if the fastboot drivers were compatible with Windows 8.1 is all.

fastboot is a program that you run on a computer, and you have to be in your bootloader to use it. you have to install it onto your computer, and you have to have the android driver installed as well, or fastboot wont see yoir phone. you cant "flash fastboot back".

That's for soft-bricked/bootlooping devices. I have a hard-bricked Nexus.
I tried rooting my RM3S with the Boot Image Patching Method. So everything went fine:
I patched boot.img with Magisk, unlocked the Bootloader and flashed it. The phone booted with working Magisk.
But after I tried relocking the Bootloader it won't boot and it says:
Your Device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and won't boot.
I can still get to the Bootloader and enter Fastboot commands. At this point I did nothing to not break anything.
