About that boot-animation, I see that it's not working on some device. I recommend that do not use that setting. Just restore your backup boot-animation. But if you are willing to change your boot-animation, just use this method.
-Search some boot animations on forum search then. . . download it, place it to your SD-card
-Use Es-Explorer or any Root explorers
-Set up into Up until root directory and Mount system as R/W
-Go to /system/media/ as you can see the boot animation, rename the original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak that you can restore it anytime if you screwed up.
-Copy the downloaded bootanimation.zip to /system/media (If the downloaded file has another file name, just rename it into bootanimation)
-After that, long press the bootanimation.zip file and go to properties, set it up as readable.
-Restart your device, then. . . boom! :good:

how does it work?

[TUT] [TEMPLATE] Creating Optimus Black ROM with AROMA Installer

CAUTION! This AROMA tut and template is for ROM Devs and Cooks only.
I have been getting requests from my fellow devs for AROMA configurations for Optimus Black P 970.
I hope this will jump start all ROMs here to adopt AROMA.
So here it is for all ROM devs and ROM cooks who want to use AROMA in their ROM.
I attached the AROMA template to be used. This is compatible with our OB Black. This is from Marvel v 9. I tried to explain the aroma script one by one in order for it to be understandable to anyone.
Ofcouse, lets give credit to amarullz for this wonderfull AROMA installer made available to all android devs.
What you need:
1. PC / Mac.
2. Your ready ROM for building/cooking.
3. Notepad++
4. Your modified aroma script from my attached template script.
Steps:
1. Of course, download the attached file.
2. Extract the folder META-INF in any folder.
3. Go to your ready to cook ROM, go to META-INF\com\google\android\ and copy the updater-scipt and the update-binary files to any folder of your choice.
4. Rename the update-binary to update-binary-installer
5. Delete the folder META-INF folder in your ROM.
6. Copy the whole folder from step 2, to the root directory of your ROM.
7. Copy the 2 files from steps 3 and 4, to the folder META-INF\com\google\android\ from step 6.
8. Then, go to META-INF\com\google\android\ and open the aroma-config file using Notepad++
9. There you will find the aroma script that I specially made for OB Black, every script is explained that if you want to change it, you can.
10. Build/Cook your ROM.
11. Flash the .zip file in CWM Recovery.
12. Congratz to your first AROMA installer ROM.
Enjoy!
thank you very much!
good tutorial
Great contribution... You have saved me a lot of work when I decide to adopt AROMA on my stuff...
Regards!
We can discuss OB AROMA specifics here. Just post your questions and I will try to give answers.
okay first question here
- is it possible to play a sound file during the process ?

As of the latest version. Audio playing is not supported. I can ask in the AROMA tread, if this can be supported in the future. This can be a good addition.

[V2.7][AROMA][22-1-13] Android Boot Animation Changer [Sense and Non-Sense Support!]

AndroidBoot Animation Changer
I have just made the changing of boot animations easier for everyone!
With this small AROMA script, you won't have to copy and paste or
replace or push things anymore; no more root explorers and computers!
Instructions:
Put the bootanimation.zip of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip
(you will have to replace the one already inside) and flash it in your recovery! Its that easy!
For changing of boot animation audio (only HTC Sense supported currently), put the android_audio.mp3
of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip (you will have to replace the one already inside too)
Inside the AROMA Installer, make sure you choose the two options correctly (Phone with or without HTC Sense)
because it not only changes the theme but also determines where the boot animations is.
If you do not have a qHD device, DO NOT flash this directly without changing the bootanimation.zip inside it first. I put a
qHD HTC boot animation inside, so if your phone's screen size isn't qHD, it will look quite ugly.
Sharing policy:
You are allowed to share this ZIP and/or any part of it as long as money is not involved (e.g. selling).
If you are a boot animation maker, you are allowed to put your boot animation in this ZIP and
share it, but you will have to mention me or my brother's name (KaiJun or kaienchua971, relatively)
and/or post a link to this very page.

In the attachments below
Changelog:
V2.7 Minor update
Added busybox into the zip. No need for busybox on your system anymore!
V2.6 Minor update
Added ability to backup boot animation sound for Sense ROMs (Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update)
V2.5 Minor Update
Added ability to backup boot animation (option in AROMA. Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update, after V2.6)
Added ability to replace boot animation audio for HTC Sense devices (just place android_audio.mp3 into the root of the ZIP, like the bootanimation.zip)
V2.0 Major Update
Added AROMA Installer!
Added support for non-HTC Sense devices
V1.0
Initial release
V1.0 can only be found in the HTC Sensation forums because it had only support for phones with HTC Sense

Upcoming update: Changing of boot animation sound!

If you find this small script helpful, pressing "THANKS" at the bottom left corner or "Tip us?" at the top right corner of the post will help alot.
Really good job, but I like putting it in the system application folder. It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation.

'I like putting it in the system application folder." I don't get why you put it in the system application folder but nevermind,
" It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation." I don't really understand what you mean but I edited the script to backup the boot animation onto the SD card and I'm probably uploading it a few minutes later.

[BootAnimation]Scorpion vs Kratos MK9

**********************************************************************************************************************************
NOT RESPONSABLE IF SOMETHING HAPPEN DURING THIS INSTALLATION OR IF YOU DO A MISTAKE DURING THIS PROCESS
**********************************************************************************************************************************
Hi Community,
here i am bringing my 1st. bootanimation for the LG G2 VS980, Scorpion facing the God of Olympus Kratos and pretty sure can be use for any 1080p Screen Resolution out there as well. Did one similar in my time with the Droid X but planning to create some good new animations.
How to Install :
---------------------
1- Transfer the Zip file to your Device (I personally have a Folder with the name "Boot Animations")
2- Rename the Zip file to bootanimation.zip ( the .zip is just the extension so no need to add that part)
3- Using the ES File Explorer (the one i use) go to /System/Media rename the current bootanimation.zip to bootanimation_Original.zip (so that way you have a backup of the orignal in place)
4- transfer the file to /system/media using ES FIle Explorer
5- go to Properties and change permission to RW-R-R
6- Reboot and Enjoy.
---------------------------------------------------------
Download Animation file :
Click Here to Download the NON-FLASHABLE File
---------------------------------------------------------
How to install Flashable Zip :
------------------------------------------
1- Copy Zip file to you phone (i prefer having a Folder name Boot Animations and have the files there)
2- Reboot to Recovery ( i'm using TWRP but case is with any other custome recovery )
3- Go to where you have the file
4- Flash the Bootaniamtion
5- Reboot and Enjoy
---------------------------------------------------------
Download Animation file :
Click Here to Download the FLASHABLE File
---------------------------------------------------------
Here to take a look of the Animation in action

PS. This can be install using Flashify

Small Boot Animation List (By ME)

MUST HAVE ROOT!!!
I will not give you instructions on how to root your device! I will redirect you to the Wikipedia page and you can figure it out for yourself!
Here is another post of some boot animations I made.
There are boot animations for MDPI and HDPI devices.
I'm not going to ask for thanks, but it would be nice.
These animations take a long time to make, please post your resolutions so I can make them fit your device!
XDA tells me how many times each file is downloaded, so either post something or do a thanks!
A lack of support makes me not want to make more!
HOW TO INSTALL METHODS
1. Use jrummy's Boot Animations * Root app
2. For android 4.0 and up, use a root browser to rename the .zip file to "bootanimation.zip" and paste it in /data/local
3 For below 4.0, paste the bootanimation.zip in /system/media
For energy-drink themed animations, go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...ink-lovers-t2953255/post57046207#post57046207
Please show your support! A thanks or a comment is always welcome!
If you want me to make you a custom animation, I will. PM me about it!

[BOOTANIMATION][540x960] Cyanogenmod Minimal Boot Animation

I was bored so I created my own version of ashyam95's boot animation. It's a simple animation with the Cyanogenmod logo and name along with a few animations. I'm using the CM12 ROM on my D415 thanks to BigMajster and when I saw this animation I thought I would modify it a little for my liking. I thought I'd share it with you all, in case you were interested in it, I hope you like it!
This is in 540x960 so it should look fine with any LG Optimus L90 variant or any phone with this resolution...
Requirements:
- Rooted device
- Root explorer app
Install Instructions:
1. Download "bootanimation.zip" from the link below
2. Transfer "bootanimation.zip" to internal/external SD card
3. Go to /system/media and make a backup of the original "bootanimation.zip"
4. Copy new "bootanimation.zip" to /system/media
5. Set file permission to rw-r-r-
6. Reboot! Enjoy!

I tried this on my D405N with CM12. Works very well, nice bootanimation
Please change the requirements part when you need unlocked bootloader, you do not need it.
