[Q] GT-P1010 GB 2.3.6 rooted WiFi no longer working

Hello folks,
I have a Samsun Galaxy Tab 7.0 WiFi GT-P1010, that I just recently updated the software to GB.XXKPI, Kernel 2.6.35.7-CL749223, Firmware 2.3.6, and then i rooted the device using CWM. Now, my WiFi isn't working, the button to turn on WiFi says error.
A friend of mine rooted my phone and it had the same error, but i am unable to contact him. Where or how would i go about getting the wifi drivers/firmware or whatever kind of of software i need to enable the wifi?

Witch CWM did you use?
The only one that worked for me, I got at MadTeam forum.
Thats the only one that works with KPI.

The version I'm running is CWM Manager 3.0 by Chainfire.
It says my kernel is unknown.

unfortunately, the madteam website is broken or soemthing because i havnt been able to get the stupid Captcha thing doesnt work.

i have the sam probelms..too..after i upgrade gb P1010DXKP5_P1010OLBKP5_HOME.tar than i instal madteam-cwm-p1010-kpi..my wifi doesn't work..i read other solution like copy wifi folder on \system\etc\wifi ...but doesn't work either...is there solution for this cwm on gb..btw i allready try flash other firmware from other region...then install cwm again ...and don't work either on wifi...desperate need my tab for work...any solution i should try...help please..:crying::crying:

Just to remind.. When you want to install mod rom.. Just make sure the base of cwm region is the same as yours.. (if cwm like madteam. Is base on kpi. Ireland region, so you better install your stock rom with the same region as madteam does). Btw i'm using cwm madteam and stock rom from the same region(kpi). And works find.

[Q] galaxy tab p1000 problem

hi i recently installed the rom aokp_p1_build-38 rom and everything was great except that i have no mobile network. i live in the philippines and whenever i try to search for a mobile provider, the system doesnt see any, i have my sim card inserted. any ideas? thank you in advance.

Firstly, use descriptive titles. For example a descriptive title would be something like "Mobile network problem after flashing AOKP rom". Your title doesn't really give any information to people browsing forum other then you have a problem.
Second, you should first search forum, then if no answer post in the roms thread you have flashed.
Third, Your problem is that you haven't also flashed the appropriate modem file for your device. Search forum.

Problem with my Note after flashing any CM10.1 rom.

I've recently flashed the newly out android 4.2 ROM available in development section. Everything seems fine and runs smooth, but unfortunately, just like the other CM10 roms I've tried flashing, after the flash it seems like I can't connect anymore to my GPRS service. I've tried receiving the configuration message form the provider by using the USSD code entry in the dialer, but had no luck receiving anything. Called the provider and didn't get any help from them either. If there would be any possible help that anyone could help me out with this, I would appreciate it.

Not that I can help you, but if you would tell us what country and network you're on then maybe someone could helped you. You can also ask for help in the development tread of the rom that you have problem with.

i guess you have to manually set your apn

[Q] Help when I flash the rxtreme rom there's no internet

Help when I flash the new rxtreme rom, my phone still have the Internet and when I activate mobile data, it shows 4g but still no Internet access. YouTube says there's a problem with the network but the video still loads. The Internet can search through the browser but the play store says no Internet access so I can't update or download apps help me.

Pls if anybody reading this and know how to fix it plsnpost a reply pls

Hey mate, i had none of this issue with rXtreme, here is a fix for app store see if this works..

Also did what ROM did you come from? You may need to do a full wipe to update and get it working correctly..

I came from pandoriam. Before i flash the new version of rxtreme , i had use the old version 2.0 if im not wrong and after updating, everything is alright. Then after restarting my phone everything became like this i can still surf the web, watch youtube but the problem is my playstore it just keep saying nointernet access and my youtube says (there was a problem with your network but the video loads well?? Ciuld it be cause of a app called freedom or because i change something in android data as i alter the com.glu.android.gwallet. then i deleted the file after rebooting as i suspected that that was the problem and so i rebooted but it is still the same do i need to reflash the rom again?

Hello guys just wanted to say that everything fixed after flashing a new rom pandoriam from rxtreme. My playstore all works again so does my internet network on my phone so does my mobile data and guess what i manage to get 4g back. When using rxtreme i dont get 4g at all

That's abit weird, rXtreme works perfectly fine on my device, 4G works as it should, no bugs that i have found on my use, good to see you sorted your issue out, but hoped you figured out the issue incase someone else runs into the same problem (hope not!)

Im not sure if its a bug in the rom or something i downloaded on my phone but i will check it out by reflashing the rom and see if it happens again. I hsope nobody else fall into the same problem with me .

Sending sms with pc using I9305's gsm modem, need help

hi, I had a S2 before, and it was working fine when i used GSMComm library to send SMS from my windows application project. Now, I've changed my phone to a S3 LTE, but i'm not sure if the modem in S3 LTE is different or what, GSMComm isn't working anymore. Anyone who has the same model and tried it out successfully? I used Samsung Kies to install the modem drivers for the phone, is it enough or is there other drivers missing? :/ anyone who has any knowledge on this, please try and help me out, I need to implement sending SMS function in my semestral project... It seems that commands like AT+CMGF is not working anymore for the S3 LTE modem...

I don't know if it will be of any help but I used airdroid when I'm on the PC at work. Which allow me to send/receive text from all my contact and the worth of this is you're "bluffing" your colleagues because you're typing and looking at your screen as if you were working
It's simple to set-up as you just need to enter an url adress in any web-browser.
Search on googplay to find the app and follow the instructions.
And again I don't know if it's related to your question or not but you're sending message from your number

thank you for replying, but it's not what I want. Because I'm currently doing a ASP.NET web application project which requires me to send SMS to people, and for that, previously when I have my S2 I am able to send out SMS using usb connection with the phone's GSM Modem (using AT commands), but now, using my S3 LTE, it seems that the phone is not recognising the AT commands... is there any way to install proper modem drivers? because on S2, I am able to access debugging mode, and through that I am able to send AT commands to my phone, but on S3 LTE Jelly Bean 4.1.2 the USB Debugging seems to be not working properly. Any way to fix this problem?

i've already rooted my phone with framaroot... by rooting the phone do you mean installing custom rom?

then do you have any advice on how to do this? the program i'm using to connect to the phone's gsm modem is GsmComm... anyone with a galaxy s3 LTE can help me out by testing this?

I merely stated that rooting your phone would by itself in no way solve your problem .

can i call the app using c#? like is there an API where I can use from a C# program?

I'm not entirely sure on that regard, I only used it once when it was in the early stages and don't know where it has gone from there.
