[Q]Anyone got crash or reboot issue when using juice defender or green power?

I had got reboot issue in FR15 or FR18 rom if wifi manager by green power
disable wifi manager it will be ok, but power will not down.
the reboot will happen at P990 screen off and green power control wifi on.
Yes - the wireless driver is ****
Have been using JD for a while now and it's managing three wifi spots without any problems and reports to be increasing my battery by 2.3 - 2.8. I'm using stock though.
I had tried CM7 rom, and it's ok
I think the issue will only happen in Madoco rom
I can confirm, using Modaco and I also have the reboots... Wifi seems to be the problem, when JD manages Wifi the phone will reboot within 15 mins (depending on the settings in JD). After reboot, wifi is turned of completely... too bad since I really like both... (MCR and JD)
i can also confirm the wifi problem with jd and gp. using modaco fear vanilla fr17.

Yes, I am using Bazing Dragon 1.8 and JD Ultimate. I have reboots when "automatic ally turn off 3G and wifi" is selected.
same to me, seems to be a wifi problem. when jd oder gp is switching connections the mobile reboots... (modaco fear vanilla 10)

Why does brightness keep changing ?

I have a official Samsung desktop charger and when my phone is in it the brightness drops to 12% ... I have also noticed using a Brodit in car charger and it does the same
Occasionally when the phone is in neither it also drops to 12% , it is doing my head in and can't work out why any ideas ? I have had the notes and had same problem so I know it's not the handset I have
I have disabled auto adjust power supply so I know it's not that
Any ideas ?

Am I the only one with this problem ? Surely not as 3 handsets I have had , have all had the same problem

I'm not sure if this is directly applicable to you, but it was the case for me in the past:
When you set your Android phone to "stay awake" when on AC power (as it is referred to in Settings) then the screen will still time-out after the usual time, however instead of turning off, it will instead dim to the "minimum" setting.
Usually the time elapses, the screen dims, then 1 or 2 seconds later the screen turns off. With "Stay Awake" enabled, it dims then stays on.
The reason I suspect this might be happening to you is that you are using docks, presumably using the stay awake setting so that you can always see the display when docked?
There is a potential solution, but I don't know if it will work for definite. Try downloading and installing Widgetsoid (others will work but I am most familiar with that one) then add a new widget, select switcher 1x1, then "screen" at bottom, then "Always on" one up from bottom of list. If my theory is correct, that will keep the screen on constant without dimming after time-out.
Hope that applies and/or helps!

HTC One using battery whilst switched off??

I'm having a strange problem with my One. I usually switch it off overnight, and sometimes when I switch it on in the morning it claims to have used ~15% battery over 8 hours. Last night I switched it off at 60% and this morning it claimed to have only 45% remaining. The same happened several times last week, and it actually managed to totally flatten itself.
Fast boot isn't on, so it's not that.
Things I have tried so far:
Flashing latest firmware.zip
Moving to CWM from TWRP
Moving to Maximus ROM from ARHD
...and it still does it. I've attached a screenshot from last night, and the phone seems to think the screen was on from when I switched it off at about 11pm to when I switched it on at 7.30. Is it possible that the screen is still running even when the phone is off? Does anyone know what's going on here?
I actually have the same problem with my device. The only difference is that on my device the "awake"-bar is the same as the "screen on"-bar. And as with you fastboot is unchecked but I'm on Stock Sense 5, with CWM 6.0.3.
I could manage to turn it off and stay off only when I booted into fastboot and then selected "Power Down".
Yeah, the next night I had awake and screen on the same amount.
I tried ticking Fast Boot, to see what happened, and that meant I only lost 5% overnight the following evening.
I tried a custom kernel (Bulletproof) but it still seemed to be doing it.
I flashed a Google Edition ROM yesterday and it doesn't seem to be happening now, so I'm wondering if it's something to do with Sense.
It happened to me once. The culprit was the NFC, it was enabled. I switched it off and it solved the problem.

Interesting, thanks. I will look into that.
OK, flashed back to stock and relocked bootloader and still getting this problem intermittently. Can't figure out what it is. Wondering if the device itself is faulty.

[Q] ViperOne 4.2.0 | Battery app usage stats not seen

Hi All,
I have come across a peculiar issue while using the ViperOne rom and just wanted to check if anyone has a clue about it.
When I navigate to 'Settings > Power > Usage', I see only 2 apps listed
- Android System at 3% and
- Google Services at 3%
At other times, I have only seen Android System at 3% and I have never seen it go above this 3%. I hence am never able to understand which apps are the battery hogging culprits.
I have not charged my phone since morning (battery has dropped from around 80% to around 40%) and used it extensively to browse internet, make phone calls, use flipboard, calendar, adobe reader, whatsapp, llama and a few other apps but none of them are being reflected under the Power usage section. I though find these apps to be active under my recent apps section.
I noticed this happening on the ViperOne 4.1.0 and 4.2.0 roms and strangely not on the CM11 rom that i tried for a few days in between.
I am presently using the latest ViperOne 4.2.0 rom with Bulletproof m7 10.3 kernel and was previously using the ViperOne 4.1.0 rom with the
Bulletproof m7 10.3 kernel.
Any inputs on how to fix to fix this much appreciated. Thanks

Lollipop 5.1 & MM 6.0 Update Breaks Hot Spot (Tethering) When Display Shuts Off (M9)

Lollipop 5.1 & MM 6.0 Update Breaks Hot Spot (Tethering) When Display Shuts Off (M9)
Long time HTC user. Just switched to tmobile and got a new HTC M9, the phone came with Lollipop 5.0. Included with my my plan is HotSpot (Tethering). For 2 days I had my hotspot enabled and the device worked flawlessly.
So eventhough I had unchecked auto-update in the settings, the phone decided to auto update to 5.1 while I was driving. After the OTA update, whenever my display shuts off, my hotspot also shuts off.
Inside Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile Network Sharing>Mobile Hotspot>Power Mode> Is set to "Always On"
Inside Settings>Power>Power Saver "Optimize battery life" is "OFF"
Inside Settings>Wifi>Advanced Wifi>Wifi optimization" is "OFF"
All the settings as far as I can see are correct but the hotspot shuts off as soon as the display shuts off. HTC is telling me to leave the phone screen on which is absurd.
Thoughts comments? Any other t-mobile users confirm the issue?
I am fully stock.

Yes that is the case , hot-spot will disconnect when screen shuts off, stupid I agree. Think it's something to do with doze power saver.
The only option is keep screen awake while charging in dev options for now.
