[Q] Auto sync turning off randomly? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I'm having a strange problem with my auto sync for my accounts: it seems to turn off randomly. I sometimes use the power saving mode, but when I check it, it does not, at least immediately, turn off auto sync. It's possible that it turns off auto sync if the batty gets low, but maybe it doesn't turn it back on? I also have sleep mode (I.e. "turn off data connections during long periods of activity") checked. It's very frustrating because I never know if its on or off without checking settings. So I end up missing emails which is kind of annoying.

bumping this up. Thought this may just be the result of the "power saver" feature, but it still happened when I turned my phone off overnight. Woke up, powered phone on, and auto sync was off

Automatic power up (wake??) for alarm function

Hi all,
Is it at all possible to cofigure the Diamond to wake up automatically from the 'Shut Down' condition. I sometimes need to be able to shut down my device overnight for battery reasons, but if i do so the alarm doesn't go off in the morning (until i manually switch the phone on), which is quite a big annoyance to me. My previous phone a Sony Ericsson had this functionality but it never crossed my mind that the Diamond might not.
I've noticed that on some of the config tools about there are settings for wake on new SMS so would i be right to think that it is possible???
For Information i am using the Klaxon alarm program.
I really hope this is possible!!!!
Thanks
Steve
When you switch the phone off, it actually turns completely off. This means no applications are running at all. It's just like if you switch a PC off, the entire operating system is off.
If you want to save battery power, I suggest you just switch Flight Mode on, this will conserve the battery for more than long enough.
That's what i thought, feared. Flight mode it is then.
Thanks
PhoneAlarm from PocketMax software is doing this
I don't think the phone is ever "completely" off, as the internal clock is still ticking so that the time is correct when you power your phone back on
Ive always loved Nokias for that reason, as they switch the phone on for alarm, and from silent profile etc...
Im sure if Nokia could do it, they shouldnt be any reason why Windows mobile device couldnt
Phone alarm can't turn the device on from a powered off state (as stated due to windows mobile) but it has options for "wake" on alarm and you can schedule a profile that will automatically put it in flight mode during certain hours.
Why not just plug it in while you sleep? That's the only time I charge my Diamond unless it's a heavy use day.
Why not just plug it in while you sleep?

I use it when at sea and i don't have a power outlet anywhere near my bunk.

Data Connection stays on... please help!

I have a stock Tilt/Kaiser running a stock HTC Rom
Okay, I have Gudensoft E-mail Scheduler running on my phone (even though this app is not the cause), and I also have Schapps Advanced Config. In AC I have my data connections set to shut off after 2 mins.
My e-mail is set to check my G-mail account every 60 minutes, between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. But what happens is if it checks while the phone is in 'sleep' mode (the phone is on, screen is off) it will check for e-mails, but the data connection will not shut off. This doesn't happen if it checks for e-mails while I have the phone on and/or doing something with it.
I have checked, and re-checked the settings in Advanced Config, and they remain the same. Yet and still the data connections will stay on way longer than 2 minutes, or until I shut it off.
Another thing that will happen (which might be related to E-mail scheduler) is out of nowhere, if the phone radio is still on the data connection will turn on at crazy times like around 1:30 am.
please if any one has anything that can/will help me out I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

[Q] Wifi keeps turning back on

Im not sure if this is a problem with the rom (Viper 1.11), or the phone itself but it seems that wifi keeps turning back on when I turn it off. Usually takes roughly a half hour to turn back on from the time i turn it off, but it continuously does this.
Anyone else have this problem? I dont think I've seen it mentioned before.
EDIT - Never mind it was Battery Guru, apparently it turns wifi on every once in a while to search for a network.

Any APP to prevent deep sleep?

Hi!
Having troubles with a 520 because once it enters the deep sleep state, it'll start getting Whatsapp notifications only when waking it up.
No battery saving setting is turned on.
An APP that wakes the device from time to time would help.
Thanks.
Perhaps you either have cellular data turned off, have no data signal, or are set to only receive notifications over WiFi? By default, WP turns off WiFi when the screen is off and the phone isn't plugged in. I think there might be an option to change that, but I don't recall where it would be.
There are definitely apps that will cause WiFi to stay on in the background (I think pretty much any streaming music app does this?), but those will wreck the battery life if you just leave them on all day. Apps are also able to periodically (~every 30 minutes) do some stuff in the background even in the phone is sleeping, but I'm not sure if this is allowed to wake up the WiFi and cause it to connect.
If the problem isn't WiFi instead of cellular data, I really don't know what's going on.

Sleep management when screen is locked

When I lock the screen, I feel like my S10 enters a heavy sleep mode. I don't receive emails (through Gmail app) on time, Spotify keeps pausing, and group chat messages (those on wifi) are delayed. I have ensured that none of such time sensitive applications are put to sleep. And wifi isn't set to disconnect. Also Google services can't even be modified in terms of its services running!
Does anyone else experience something similar/know what's going on?
***SOLVED***
With adaptive power mode on, your phone automatically switches to a more power saving mode when phone's not in use. Mine was switching to medium-power-saving-mode which had "background network activity" switched to off. I just modified each power mode setting and now I can have the adaptive power mode on and have background activity!
