Hi,
I'm trying to get out off the stock rom, but I just can't
What am I dooing wrong.. (No SD card is used)
1) install CWM 4.0.0.5 (Int)
2) nandroid backup
3) Mount USB, to get the backup on to the PC
4) Smartflash Baseband 0606
5) NVFLASH stock rom (just replacing the recovery with CWM 4.0.0.5)
6) boot into CWM
7) Wipe Data/factory, cache, dalvik
8) Install zip (CM_p990_full-50), have also tried build 43
9) Reboot
10 ) crying... everytime it starts with FC of LGE everything. (10-13 popups, and endless loop in LG.SetupWizard)
Yes, I know i'm a NOOB, but this just makes no sence to me...
Please advice....
Can you install any other ROM, say the MoDaCo vanilla?

Yes, and it seams to work.
Then I did a Backto ext3 from cwm, and then tryed wipe and install CM. but now noting happers, it says "installing" but nothing like "writing to ...." and after that I'm stuck on the LG logo on an reboot.
Can't even restore back to my old rom....
so back to an NVFLASH for me and a restore...
Anyone.... Please HELP....
OK, that's proper weird.
From memory (and it's not that great as I'm on the Amigos) you wont see much other than 'installing..." when flashing CM, so wouldn't worry about that.
Did you do anything in recovery before applying the back to EXT3 patch? If so it might not have worked, as it needs /system and /data to be unmounted (found that one out for myself lol)
i had the same issue, try to reflash original cwm from ROM manager and youll be able to install cm7

I've no idea what you are doing. But I'm pretty sure there isn't supposed to be any "LG.SetupWizard" in CM7.
^ What he said. There is a SetupWizard.apk and an LGEServices.apk but no LG.SetupWizard. Or LG anything else, for that matter.
Hi,
Updateded Rom Manager.

I have the same problem coming from stock.
I have CWM 4.0.0.5 external installed. Took nandroid backup, wiped data and cache, flashed nightly 52, flashed gaaps and everything went fine but when I reboot I get stuck on the CM7 logo in an endless bootloop.
Thankfully I could restore stock but what I am doing wrong?
Try cwm 3.2.0.0 saved me.

Try erasing data for gmail in task manager. It worked for me.
Inviato dal mio GT-I9000
unfortunately it did not help
Try to delete it from a root explorer in system/app/gmail.apk
And extract it from your ICSSGS RC4.2's .zip. And then copy it in system/app/
With these permissions : RW - R - R

Don't really know about it. But did you try re-flashing the ROM ? It will probably solve your problem. (wipe all)

No I did not. I'm going to re-flash tonight (when I come back home and after my 5-years old son will sleep - no possible to do anything before that )
Should I make all wipes? Factory, cache and DALVIK? I'm aksing becouse one time when flash ICS (that was CNA) I did all wipes (with DALVIK) and I had bootloops and big problem to do anything, even Odin did not help. luckily after few trials (switch off/on, remove battery, remove ext SD, remove SIM etc) Odin recognized my Phone and I flashed stock GB.
I think DALVIK was a reson, but maybe I'm wrong

no. it will only wipe user data, app data, and apps you have installed.
but if this is your first time using 4.2 you should backup your sd card to your computer and after you flash the rom and boot up boot back to recovery and wipe your sd card then reboot and restore backup from computer or you will think it wiped everything but it just moves things around for multiuser support

However, I don't see the "wipe system".
In CWM base recovery v6.0.2.8, I only saw:
reboot system
install zip from sdcard
install zip from side load
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup and restore
mount and storage
advance
I went through every mentioned catergories; however, I did know how to wipe the system. Great appreciative for better instructions.
Regards,
Wipe System is under Mounts & Storage

Thanks for all help. I finally was able to flash this HoloBlur X rom. It would be even better if voice search is working.
I tried out the official liquid smooth v 2.9 for atrix HD, yet there were bugs that I couldn't overcome:
1. Vibration didn't work as it was put under vibration
2. Other didn't hear me or vice versa, have to reboot the phone to make it works for calling
3. Speaker phones worked on-off randomely

Hi
I had the same problem , for some reason I couldn't boot up the tuned version , but what I did is installed the carbon rom and let it boot up then flashed the performance version and it booted up , and I haven't tried to go back and flash the Tuned version ,
I am glad it worked for you .:good::good:
So what did you do ? and what version did you flash ?
what I did:
wipe/factory reset
wipe dalvik cache
format system
mount system
flash rom
reboot
flash holo apps
HoloBlur, THE END?
Well that is strange. After following and catching up/ reading almost the complete thread, one can see what has happened and happening to that rom's "continued" development.
Last I read was the OP was ill and requested someone else pick up the project/development. Android Pizza stepped up to the plate and the latest update was his confirmation on 11/26/2013 that he/it was still being worked on. So I was surprised to see the thread closed as per OP request by the mods.
Did Android Pizza decide to pass or did the mod read an old request?
I'd like to know, as I liked that rom, and was hoping for it's continued development, at least to the point of fixing a few bugs, namely the voice search issue.
Thanks,
-CC
Hey guys,
I was running CM 10.1.3 and decided to go to Slim Bean 2.1. I followed the instructions, but when I rebooted instead of a clean install, I had all my old apps. Naturally, I went back to recovery and wiped everything again including sdcard and flashed Slim again (from external sd card). However, when I rebooted, again I had everything - old apps, music, photos... As you might imagine after this dirty flash the phone is quite laggy. Please tell me how to make recovery properly wipe the old data.
Any help is appreciated

What recovery are you running? I am going to assume CWM v6.0.3.1...
From main menu;-
Wipe Data/factory rest
Wipe cache partition
From Mounts and Storage menu;-
Format /system
Format /cache
Format /data
Format /sd-card
From Advanced manue;-
Wipe dalvik cache
Now install.
You assume correctly. I had already done that, but I did it again in the order that you described. No difference, I still get all my app, my wallpaper, and all my accounts are still logged on. That is strange. Is there another way to wipe the phone?

Yes, it's very strange. I have done that before, but never with such results. I think I might have to resort to a kdz flash of stock rom, but I'll wait a bit to see if someone comes up with a solution. Nevertheless, I will have to find a solution, because after the last several dirty flashes one on top of the other the phone does not work as it should. It is very laggy and with an even higher battery drain (which was the initial reason for a clean install).

I have to admit that I would look at doing a KDZ reflash to get everything back clean, then CWM and reinstall of the ROM.

actually, try flashing with lg flashtool (dz+dll), it's supposed to format your internal storage as well, while kdz flasher doesnt afaik. good luck. strange problem indeed

too late now to go back to format and reinstall rom. just go in data/app delete everything in there. also in data/dalvic-cache. then if u know from system apps which ones u dont want , go delete them and then find their dalvic-cache in /cache/dalvic-cache.
then go delete from sdcard the folder android. then from sdcard delete every zero and empty folder. last one delete all data/data and reboot. nothing should be left from previous rom. now if u have more leftovers in data/media/obb or data/media/legacy, delete. (dont delete the legacy in storage/emulated...!). about the problem u had. did u choose wipe and selected manually to wipe all those or u chose to format all data ? there must be a choice to format everything. ( dont do it now it will delete everything ). if that doesnt work then fix permissions.
Somehow after several attempts it worked and wiped everything. I am not sure, however, if it works consistently.

I will certainly do that, but I have never used flashtool so far (kdz flasher, as well for that matter), So I just do not have the time to experiment right now, just in case if anything goes wrong. But I will certainly want to try a stock rom again.
