I was wondering if anyone has tried using the Seidio Active Extended case with other batteries like the extended Hyperion or Anker batteries? Does the Seidio Extended Battery Cover fit those batteries?
Thanks
After my review of Innocell and Active Extended case, I was asking the same question but never heard back from anybody either. In that review I posted all the dimensions so perhaps someone can confirm?

I've used the Active Extended with the Anker battery and it fits perfectly. That was before switching to the ZL9300 which does not fit with the Active Extended...
If you put on the back and the battery there is still room to fit thicker batteries. Don't know which ones, but if you press on it, there is some flex and spare room underneath.

Thanks for that info. Did you use the Anker battery cover or the Seidio battery cover with the Active case?

Good question! You can't get Seidio battery cover without buying Innocell (Seidio's 4500 mAh extended battery). While Active Extended is stand-alone product. I just looked up battery cover picture of Anker and it resembles battery cover of Innocell (continues line instead of like in some other brand where they have a big step in battery cover). So, I assume Anker extended with it's cover will fit Active Extended case. But let's wait for confirmation from Technorico and Chris.
The active case is nice and all, but I've been waiting for their extended convert case. I enjoyed it on my thunderbolt It's much more rugged and hiker friendly.

I want to get a Note. I have found some extended batteries...
Mugen Power 4500mAh
Hyperion 5000mAh
??? 5200mAh
I love the Mugen cover that comes with it. It is textured, the camera cut out area looks good and it comes with a kick stand. However it has the lower power of the big 3. I am wondering if that cover can fit with one of the other 2 batteries. And does anyone have any opinions on which battery is the best, does name brand really matter? And my main concern, with these extended batteries has anyone found a holster/pouch with a clip that will fit the Note with an extended battery??? I want this stuff plus the mirror screen protector that I already found.
No response for almost two months - that's disappointing. I am also looking to add an extended battery, protective case, and holster. I have had no luck in finding a working combo for the AT&T version of the Note.
So I purchased an extended battery but my case doesn't fit with it. It does however fit with the case if I take the battery door off. Is it safe to just use the case as a battery door, or should I look for another case?

Are you using the official droid holster shell? I had the same confusion. It looks like it works properly without the original backing, just with the backing that comes with the holster.

Whats a good case for the Note II that will accomodate the extended battery?
Were in the same boat, its too early, maybe in a couple of weeks seidio or mugen and hopefully otterbox & case mate will start selling protective cases for extended batteries.
found this: http://www.amazon.com/3600mAh-Power...53488548&sr=1-72&keywords=galaxy+note+2+n7100
"3600mAh Power Bank Battery With Front Cover For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 II N7100"
not sure if its any good tho..
is you search ebay, there are back covers that come with extended batteries.. but I personally don't like them, and don't need them... horses for courses as they say.
And yet, that's what the op needed

I am ordering an extended battery soon for a side project, but I was gonna test my bumper case with it to see if they worked together. I have one of the aluminum bumpers you can get on ebay for under 20 bucks. Doesn't seem to hurt my signal at all.
search ebay for "n7100 extended battery case" and you'll find cases that have 3600 mah battery built in to them. I need to order one but great compromise I think for battery and case
www.ebay.com/itm/3600Mah-Rechargeab...50883?pt=Battery_Chargers&hash=item337dd39723
they also have ones with the flip cover that goes over the screen too.
Can you trust those eBay ones?
Had anyone found an answer for this? I have a 6600 mah battery and I bought one of the aluminum bumper cases on eBay and my 4g signal was GONE. Took it off and my signal was strong again.

these cases are complete garbage and dangerous. be very careful. there are already tons of reviews on amazon about these cases. ive read reviews for the same type of cases as well for other phones (iphone 5/galaxy s3). they take forever to charge and heat up beyond safe temperatures (can lead to injury/harm).

the only one that i've read about that does not harm your signal is the sweet armor bumper, but it's a bit pricey. check it out in the "post your case" thread if you haven't done so already.
battery +cover? Does anyone know.
Sorry if this has been asked but I didn't see anything to that effect. I am looking to get the Samsung Galaxy Note II and it seems to have everything I want:- size, speed, specs etc. I also almost never use a smartphone without getting an extended battery and I almost never use a phone without a protective phone case, so I need to know.
TIA.
Honestly try using the phone before assuming you will need an extended battery. The stock battery on this phone is light years beyond most smart phones.

yeah, I know the reputation of the stock. But I'm the type of user that much prefers a few days of medium use without the absolute need of charging.
Wont work with mugen. You can call seidio and order the battery cover as well though. Ive been using it with the anker extended battery + seidio cover + seidio extended battery case.
The case just came out a couple of days ago and I ordered it instantly. Have been using since Friday and I love it.

So Mugen is bigger? Then, Anker and Hyperion and QCell will fit with Seidio? I'm getting Innocell and Active case for it next week. If someone can post dimensions for Mugen and Anker/Hyperion, I can verify it.
Well the hyperion I know comes with a hunchback style battery cover and that is not like the seidio. The batteries themselves are the same size, but the cover has to match.
I know the Onite comes with the same style cover as the seidio.
The mugen back piece is a lot bigger than hyperion and seidio style.
Buy the onite battery and use that cover with the seidio if you don't want to buy the seidio back cover separate. Then it will all work fine with the seidio active extended case.

Do you have a good experience with Onite brand?
Btw, since you have a lot of knowledge about this battery subject, do you think you can reply/answer some of the questions I posted in THIS thread?
Thanks so much supertrekie. Your suggesstion makes a tonne of sense. I just hope that the mugen battery is not so much bigger than the seidio's that the seidio's battery cover wouldn't fit; even though I don't think that will be a problem. But yeah, will def check it out.
Thanks, again.
Unfortunately the mugen battery is a smidge thicker than the onite and Hyperion batteries, just enough to make their covers impossible to be used with the mugen battery, since they don't snap back to the phone's casing... tried to, and now I have two extended batteries and back covers and one tpu extended battery kickstand case sitting in my drawer.

Which Seidio case and holster works with the onite battery? Is it the active case and active holster? Oops. Nevermiind. I just saw you said the active.
So the Seideo extended cover should fit the hyperion battery? That would be awsome. The seideo active case saved my Evo 4g to many times. Its the only case out there I trust. The skeleton is priceless. I am in dire need for that protection on this phone.

I don't think anybody tried it yet. Check out my Active Extended review, in sig link, for more details and dimensions of Innocell for comparison with other extended batteries.
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has found a solution for fitting a decent case over these phones with extended batteries. I only found that zerolemon gives a decent case (still not as rugged as I desire, but better than no case!) but I would prefer to go with a extended battery that is not as bulky such as mpj or hyperion. Any suggestions on getting a good case or am I doomed till hyperion or mpj releases one (probably never?).

I don't think you'll find a magic case that will shrink existing matter into a smaller space. The larger capacity demands a larger battery that is not going to be smaller or form fitting to a phone not initially designed for it. It will have to be bulky by definition.
The zero lemon option at least is boxy and rectangular. The other options are lopsidedly large at the base. I personally am going to add a tpu case over my mpj battery for added grip.
i didnt even realize extended batteries were still made. isn't that too bulky?

I saw this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ZAK1GAS/ref=psdcmw_3081461011_t1_B015XBS45I?th=0
and ordered a clone off eBay. Getting here tomorrow, will let you know how it goes. Not willing to use the super slippery back that comes with these extended batteries!
Do you guys think my g4 with a mugen battery and door, could I put one of those metal or hybrid bumpers on this?
Doubt a bumper would work. There is usually at least one part of the new back that alters the dimensions of the edge. The zerolemon one makes the whole thing boxy. The one I linked to above changes the whole lower 3/4th edge.
If you did your own 3d printing of a new back, and only had a pronounced lump in the center, potentially you could.
Case for extended battery
I use an otterbox on my G4 with 6200 ma battery. I leave the phone back off, cut the back out of the otterbox where the battery would hit and then just stretch the rubber over. It tucks into a groove in the front half and works great
I use Hyperion Extended battery and Hyperion TPU Case, and i do modification to add NFC feature on Hyperion
You can see on my attachment. White TPU Case too easy to get dirty

Does the Hyperion TPU case have a lip in front of the screen? Any chance you have a pic of the front with the Hyperion TPU case?

The case I got off ebay which is the same as the Hyperion one does have a lip, thus making the front very similar to many TPU cases.
